Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Analisis Pengembangan Usaha Toko Buah Yuk Meri Menggunakan SWOT dan BMC
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengembangan usaha pada Toko Buah Yuk Meri di Pasar Sako Perumnas Palembang. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualiatif menganalisis SWOT dan Business Model Canvas (BMC) untuk mengidentifikasi kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman, serta memetakan model bisnis toko. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara langsung dengan pemilik usaha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan utama toko terletak pada kualitas buah yang segar, harga bersaing, dan pelayanan ramah. Kelemahan yang dihadapi adalah proses penghitungan manual dan penyimpanan buah yang masih sederhana. Peluang usaha mencakup layanan antar dan pemesanan online, sedangkan ancaman berasal dari fluktuasi harga dan persaingan pedagang kaki lima. Melalui analisis BMC, toko ini memiliki sembilan elemen bisnis yang saling terhubung, seperti pelanggan tetap, saluran distribusi di pasar, dan struktur biaya yang efisien. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa toko dapat meningkatkan daya saing dengan memanfaatkan kekuatan dan peluang, serta memperbaiki kelemahan melalui pelayanan yang lebih baik dan pemanfaatan media digital
The Effect of Corporate Image, Promotion, and Product Quality on Interest of TabunganKu Customers at PT Bank Mandiri Tbk
Banking in Indonesia is growing very rapidly, giving rise to intense competition between banks. One of the banks that survives in the midst ofintense competition is PT Bank Mandiri. This study aims to determine and analyze the maker's image variable that influences the interest of TabunganKu customers. The object of this research is PT Bank Mandiri Tbk, Palembang A Rivai Area, which is a state-owned bank. This researchuses quantitative methods, with purposive sampling technique. Primary data is obtained from data collection through questionnaires that have been filled out by the resource persons, and secondary data is obtained through journals, as well as the company's official website. The questionnaire was calculated using the SPSS Ver application. 23 (Statistical Product and Service Solutions). The results in this study simultaneously maker image, promotion, and product quality have a positive effect on customer interest seen from the f value obtained, namely 13.450 with a significant value of 0.000. While partially only the image of the maker has a positive and significant effect on customer interest, for the promotion and product qualityvariables have no significant positive effect on customer interest. So that Bank Mandiri must strengthen and maintain the image of the company, as well as the image of its products, because that is the main attraction of Bank Mandiri, then improve promotion and product quality according to customer needs and the progress of the times
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

Hambatan Eksportir Kopi Sumsel Melakukan Penetrasi Pasar Luar Negeri (Studi Kasus PT Inti Baru Sejati )
The research is aimed to analyze the barriers of coffee exporter in penetrating foreign market,
especialy German and United States market. It is merely case study whereas the research are
mainly focus on PT Inti Baru Sejati as one of South Sumatera coffee expoter. The main problems
in this research are as follows. Firstly, what are the barriers of PT Inti Bari Sejati in penetrating
German and United State market. Secondly, what are the efforts of PT Inti Baru Sejati to
overcome the barriers of penetrating foreign market, especially for German and United State
market. Primary data are used in this research by depth interview to the owner and some staffs of
company. It is also used secondary data to enrich the research analysis. The research finding
shows that some entry barriers in penetrating both countries are the difference business cultures,
administrative business requirement, product quality standard, tariff and non-tariff barries,
lacking of business information as well as International marketing system. The research
conclusion indicates that PT Inti Baru Sejati should learn and understand foreign market,
especially German and United State market, therefore PT Inti Baru Sejati should adjust its
marketing strategy to overcome the entry barriers in both countries
Pengaruh Budaya Organisasi dan Kepemipinan terhadap Motivasi Karyawan pada Bank BRI KC Sriwijaya
Tujuan penelitian ini yakni untuk menganalisa pengaruh budaya organisasi, dan kepemimpinan pada bank BRI KC Sriwijaya Palembang. Alat pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dengan pendekatan kuantitatif sebagai metode penelitiannya. Penelitian ini memiliki populasi sebanyak 55 orang memakai sampling jenuh, untuk semua angota populasi dijadikan sampelnya. Analisis dilakukan dengan penggunaan aplikasi SPSS 25, uji analisis regresi linier berganda menjadi fokus utamanya, tujuannya adalah mengetahui pengaruh dari budaya organisasi, dan kepemimpinan bagi motivasi karyawan. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa budaya organisasi secara parsial tidak berdampak bagi motivasi karyawan. Namun, Kepemimpinan menunjukkan pengaruh terhadap motivasi karyawan. Untuk secara simultan budaya organisasi, dan kepemimpinan menunjukkan pengaruh positif terhadap motivasi karyawan. Uji koefisien determinasi menampilkan hasil bahwa nilai adjusted R sebesar 30,1% variabel motivasi karyawan dipengaruhi variabel budaya organisasi dan kepemimpinan. Sedangkan untuk sisanya lagi sebesar 69,9% dipengaruhi variabel lain yang tidak diteliti
