A morphological and phylogenetic characterisation of Inocybe similis (Agaricales, Inocybaceae), a rare species described by Bresadola in 1905
No full textInocybe similis, a very rare smooth-spored species originally described from Italy by Bresadola, is illustrated. Based on
sequence generated from the type specimen, freshly collected specimens from five sites, Grado in north-east Italy, Tolmin
in Slovenia, Forchach and Rieden in Austria and Füssen in Gemany could be asigned to I. similis and a more detailed
description is provided here.
The macro- and micromorphological features of I. similis suggest this species should be placed in Inocybe sect.
Splendentes according to Singer ́s classification. In contrast, our phylogenetic analyses support instead that I. similis belongs
to Inocybe sect. Marginatae. From a morphological point of view, I. similis is close to I. vulpinella, but it is phylogenetically
close to I. flavobrunnescens in sect. Marginatae

No full text<i>Inocybe cervenianensis</i> Ferisin, Bizio, Aiardi, Bersan & Dovana, <i>sp. nov.</i> Figs. 2–4 <p>MycoBank no.: MB 835592</p> <p> Etymology:—the specific epithet “ <i>cervenianensis ”</i> derives from the old latin name of Cervignano del Friuli, a city in Friuli Venezia Giulia Region where the holotype was collected.</p> <p> Diagnosis:— <i>Inocybe cervenianensis</i> is characterised by its medium-sized basidiomes, with brown to ochraceous pileus, covered with whitish velipellis, stipe entirely pruinose, with more or less marginate bulb, brownish with pinkish tinges on the middle but constantly whitish in the upper part. Microscopically, it is characterised by amygdaliform spores, pleurocystidia and cheilocystidia ranging from slenderly fusiform, sublageniform to ventricose-fusiform and caulocystidia mixed with cauloparacystidia descending to the base of the stipe.</p> <p> Type:— ITALY. Pregio naturalistico del settore costiero antistante l’ex Ospedale al Mare (isola di Lido – Venezia)
Get PDFIn this paper we present the results of the analysis of plant communities/habitats, flora, fauna and
macromycetes present in a small but very significant sector of the Lido di Venezia coast. The almost
total reduction human pressures during about forty years, drives the area to the recovery of habitats
of the High Adriatic coast. Among the most significant habitats there are: 1210 - Annual vegetation
of drift lines, 2110 - Embryonic shifting dunes, 2130 * - Fixed coastal dunes with herbaceous
vegetation (gray dunes), 7210 * - Calcareous fens with Cladium mariscus and species of the Caricion
davallianae, 6420 - Mediterranean tall humid herb grasslands of the Molinio-Holoschoenion. All
the multidisciplinary assessments show the strengths of the recover paths. The floristic survey led to
the discovery of rare species of Veneto, among other Centaurium littorale and Cutandia maritima.
The observations on birds recorded the presence of species such as Charadrius alexandrinus and
Sternula albifrons in the near the sea sector, and the nesting of Caprimulgus europaeus and Lanius
collurio. Even the mycological surveys confirm the ecosystem recover, increasing the consistency
between existing and potential conditions.
The paper also shows the advantages and the limits of some coastal management approaches
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
