Abstract: This work made a comparative study of the bending moments along thegirders of bi-supported bridges. To obtain the greatest moments wasused the Engesser-Courbon formulation, which considers the infinitelyrigid crossbeams and a numerical analysis modeling the structure as agrid of beams. To obtain the results, computational procedures weredeveloped in XOJO programming language, and also used the GAPGELv1 program, allowing parametric data entry, which reduces theamount of data required for modeling many cases. The models studiedthe presence of cantilevers and approach consoles, the influence of slabelements and the number of crossbeams and girders. It was observedthat the envelopes of bending moments obtained by different approachesexhibited similar values at the external girders, however, result insignificant differences in central girders
Measurement of the differential inclusive B+ hadron cross sections in pp collisions at root s=13TeV
The differential cross sections for inclusive production of B+ hadrons are measured as a function of the B+ transverse momentum p(T)(B) and rapidity y(B) in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, using data collected by the CMS experiment that correspond to an integrated luminosity of 48.1 pb(-1). The measurement uses the exclusive decay channel B+ -> J/psi K+, with J/psi mesons that decay to a pair of muons. The results show a reasonable agreement with theoretical calculations within the uncertainties. (C) 2017 The Author(s). Published by Elsevier B.V
Search for low mass Higgs-boson like resonances at CMS
A search is performed on the 8 TeV LHC data for additional scalars and pseudoscalar with masses below the newly discovered higgs boson h(125). These searches are motivated within several BSM theories, most significantly extensions of the non mininal extensions of the MSSM like the NMSSM, where additional scalar and pseudoscalar states are expected. The mass range from 350 MeV to 110 GeV is explored with different final states. The current status of these searches will be reviewed and prospects will be given to extend these searches in the Run2 of the LHC
Search for a low-mass pseudoscalar Higgs boson produced in association with a b(b)over-bar pair in pp collisions at root s=8 TeV
A search is reported for a light pseudoscalar Higgs boson decaying to a pair of tau leptons, produced in association with a b (b) over bar pair, in the context of two-Higgs-doublet models. The results are based on pp collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb(-1). Pseudoscalar boson masses between 25 and 80 GeV are probed. No evidence for a pseudoscalar boson is found and upper limits are set on the product of cross section and branching fraction to tau pairs between 7 and 39 pb at the 95% confidence level. This excludes pseudoscalar A bosons with masses between 25 and 80 GeV, with SM-like Higgs boson negative couplings to down-type fermions, produced in association with bb pairs, in Type II, two-Higgs-doublet models.
This lexical semantic study is rooted in the intuition that people have experience of what in French is called "temps pour soi", or "time for oneself", and that this experience is evoked by the use of certain lexical combinations that manifest common semio-semantic characteristics. It focuses on the origins and the uses of the expression temps pour soi and other related phrases in contemporary French (moment à nous, minute à lui, journée pour elle, soirée à nous, etc.). Gathered into a single semio-semantic object, the lexical configuration TEMPS + pour/à + SOI, these combinations are analyzed in both their internal constitution and their uses through the lens of three different aspects of the notion of value that are defined by the author: differential value, referential value, and combinatorial value. The study is based on two substantial corpora of about 40 000 occurrences produced between 2000 and 2018 in news articles and online forum publications. Secondary corpora comprising dictionary articles and various texts published since the 17th century, along with oral corpora compiled since the 1970's, are also used to document the history of the combinations under study. The linguistic productions are analyzed from both a diachronic and diacultural perspective, in which uses from French-speaking areas in Canada and Europe are compared. The results show the recent constitution (second half of the 20th century) and current development of the notion of "temps pour soi", which generally corresponds to a resource that benefits an individual who invests it purposefully in themself. In contrast to the dimensions of work and family, "temps pour soi", as evoked through the use of favoured lexical combinations such as prendre du temps pour soi, is increasingly construed from an agentive perspective in which the subject holds the ability to act on their "own time" by giving it an aim. The uses of the combinations under study highlight an increasing prioritization of the individual over other considerations in reconciling the various demands made on one's attention in daily life. The study leads to the proposal of the term chrononomy to denote the temporal organization of the various spheres of life, which linguistic practices such as the use of expressions in the ambit of "temps pour soi" help to achieve
