Mechanical rice washer / Schufee Amani Suhaime and Azizul Hakim Samsudin
A common method used to wash rice is by hand. There is a high probability that this method causes the rice to be washed uncleanly and it takes time to clean the rice. To overcome this problem, a mechanical rice washer will be designed, fabricated, and tested. Morphological approach was used to determine the proper design of the rice washer and its blade. Meanwhile, torque theory was used to determine the optimal sizing of the motor to rotate the blade. SOLIDWORK was used to perform the stress and deformation analysis towards the frame of the product. The results of the calculation were able to determine the optimal size of motor to rotate in a situation of a rice with weight 0.5kg inside the container. Furthermore, the output of the analysis using SOLIDWORK also shows positive results where no failure indicator appears in the stress and deformation analysis. To conclude, this mechanical rice washer was successfully designed, fabricated. and works perfectly. This product has been tested and it has reduced the time taken to wash the rice
Multifunctional pickup tool / Nurul Izzatul Azian and Azizul Hakim Samsudin
The pickup tools available in the market lack in terms of comfortless where the handle is difficult to operate. Other than that, it lacks in terms of its function where the tools are too large to be used in confined spaces, lack strength in gripping, and have no built-in light function. Therefore, the objective of this study is to design the multifunctional pickup tool and, to fabricate and test the multifunctional pickup tool. Morphological approach was used to determine the appropriate design. Meanwhile, Hooke’s Law was used to determine the optimal number and size of springs to accommodate a load of garbage weighing 0.6kg. SOLIDWORK software was used to analyse the spring and handle. The results of the calculations using Hooke’s Law shows that spring with a constant K (spring constant) is the optimal size for this pickup tool. Meanwhile, the analysis using SOLIDWORK software also shows positive results where no failure indicator appears in the analysis (stress and deformation analysis). To conclude, this multifunctional pickup tool was successfully fabricated and works perfectly. This product has been tested where it can pick up garbage, and can fit in confined and darker space
Failure prediction of composite laminate based on multitudinous combined lamination and failure theories / Azizul Hakim Samsudin
Composite laminates could offer excellent material properties due to their high stiffness and high strength-to-weight ratio. However, its trend of failure could lead to catastrophy due to the lack of understanding of its failure behaviour. Moreover, the accurate failure prediction of composites laminate is still yet to be established. Therefore, this study aims to predict failure of composite laminates based on multitudinous combined lamination and failure theories. The work has been conducted in five phases to cover these specific objectives; (i) to develop a MATLAB programme for failure analysis based on multitudinous combined lamination and failure theories; (ii) to compare simulated and measured extension based on ASTM D3039 (numerical versus experimental approaches) of a Carbon-Epoxy laminate under uniaxial tension; (iii) to assess the effect of different lamination scheme on the failure behaviour and mode of failure of composite laminates; (iv) to assess the effect of different lamination theories on the simulated failure behaviour of composite laminates; and finally, (v) to assess the effect of selected failure theories and determine the best fit failure theory for composite laminates. A programme was developed using MATLAB to compute the displacements, strains and stresses of the laminates based on multitudinous lamination theories (Classical Lamination Theory (CLT), First Order Shear Deformation Theory (FSDT) and High Order Shear Deformation Theory (HSDT)). For failure analysis, Maximum Stress (MS), Tsai-Wu (TW), modified Tsai-Wu (mTW), Hashin, Hoffman, Lee and Mall (MT) failure theories were employed into a programme (MATLAB) to determine the failure loads. Finite element (FE) programming (FORTRAN-90) based on HSDT was upgraded by employing the six failure theories to determine the failure loads. Failure curves are plotted and analysed. It was observed that the results from finite element simulation (ANSYS) were closer to the experimental results. However, the average difference between ANSYS and MATLAB does not exceed 1%. Deformation behaviour between lamination scheme show significant different where it was found that symmetric laminate experience elongation while anti-symmetric laminate experience twisting deformation and angle-ply laminate experience bending deformation. Determination of mode of failure using MS and mTW failure theories does not show significant different except for matrix mode of failures (anti-symmetric laminate). Comparing the FE simulation and analytical approaches, the results for uniaxial tension load (symmetric laminate) are close to each other, with a difference less than 3%. This study has proven that the developed MATLAB programme is found to be very useful for predicting failure load of composite laminate. Other than that, it is also interesting to highlight that MT failure criterion predicts smoother curve and closer to the experimental curve compared to the other five failure theories. Therefore, it can be concluded that this study has contributed significantly to enhancing knowledge about the failure prediction of composite laminates based on multitudinous combined lamination and failure theories

Spinach (spinacia oleracea l.) as a co-substrate for the production of tempeh / Azizul Hakim Ahmad
Spinach has been used as a co-subtrate to soybeans to determine its ability in the production of tempeh by using the expected Rhizopus Oligosporous strain. R. Oligosporous was identified microscopically and common characteristics of the strain was well observed. The strain was cultured on SDA culture for 48 hours at 35°C. After the cultured is well grown, mycelia fully covered the petri dishes, spore suspension was made. The spore suspension act as a tempeh starter to produce the tempeh. After mixing the subtrates with the spore suspension, soybeans took 48 hours at 35°C to fully ferment and produce tempeh while mix subtrate took 24 hours at 37°C to fully ferment. All the tempeh produce has been observed by examining the color, surface coverage of mold mycelia, compactness, sliceability, and texture. Nutrition analysis showed the soybeans tempeh has higher protein, ash, and fats content while mix tempeh has higher moisture and carbohydrates. Thus, spinach can be used as a co- subtrate in the production of high nutrition tempeh due to its higher carbohydrates content

TINJAUAN HUKUM ISLAM TERHADAP PP NO. 45 TAHUN 1990 (STUDI ANALISIS PASAL 3 AYAT 1 TENTANG KEWAJIBAN IZIN PERCERAIAN BAGI PNS)
ABSTRAK
Azizul Hakim (2022): Analisis Terhadap Pasal 3 Pp No. 45 Tahun 1990 Tentang Proses Perceraian Bagi PNS Ditinjau Dari Hukum Islam
