Abstract: This study investigated the effects of palm tocotrienol-rich fraction (TRF) on aortic proatherosclerotic changes in rats fed with a high methionine diet. Forty-two male Wistar rats were divided into six groups. The first group was the control (fed with a basal diet). Another five groups were fed with 1% methionine diet for 10 weeks. From week 6 onward, folate (8mg/kg diet) or palm TRF (30, 60, and 150mg/kg diets) was added into the diet of the last four rat groups, respectively. The high methionine diet raised the plasma total homocysteine and aortic lipid peroxidation, which were reduced by the palm TRF and folate supplementations. Plasma nitric oxide was reduced in the high methionine group compared to the control (3.72 +/- 0.57 versus 6.65 +/- 0.53 mu mol/L, P < 0.05), which reduction was reversed by the palm TRF (60 and 150mg/kg) and folate supplementations. The increased aortic vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 expression in the methionine group (2.58 +/- 0.29) was significantly reduced by the folate (1.38 +/- 0.18) and palm TRF at 150mg/kg (1.19 +/- 0.23). Palm TRF was comparable to folate in reducing high methionine diet-induced plasma hyperhomocysteinemia, aortic oxidative stress, and inflammatory changes in rat

Animated 'L' driving guide (panduan memandu beranimasi) / Siti Nur Aslinda Mohamad Ayob
The author hopes that the Animated 'L' Driving Guide courseware will manage to overcome the current accident phenomenon that always happen nowadays because of drivers' lack knowledge and most of all, carelessness. An Animated 'L' Driving Guide is one of the courseware that help students especially in guiding them about traffic rules traffic ethic and traffic sign to increase users' interest especially the students ('L' license candidates). The student will better understand the real situations of traffic signs through animation because learning driving theory from books alone is certainly not easy. The important factors of having this courseware in the education system because currently many students are having the conventional way to learn traffic rules, traffic signs and traffic ethics with lecturers supervised. Sometimes the lecturers cannot ensure whether their students able to achieve their requirement. So the teaching lesson is not convenient and less impressive. It will also enable the lecturers to teach the students as one of teaching tool in more interactive way rather than the conventional way. It also becomes one of the government initiatives to uprising the education level

Abelmoschus esculentus pod contains polyphenolic compounds, carotene, folic acid, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin C, oxalic acid, and amino acids. Abelmoschus esculentus seed contain polyphenolic compounds, mainly oligomeric catechins and flavanols derivatives, protein (i.e., high lysine levels), and oil fraction (in particular, its derived oil is rich in palmitic, oleic, and linoleic acids). This study aimed to formulate a sheet mask of Lady Finger extract, and examined its moisturizing effect on volunteers' skin. This was the new innovation, which build the new beauty treatment product using Abelmoschus esculentus. Abelmoschus esculentus was combined with the cold powder using the method that was stated by the author. There have many benefits of Abelmoschus esculentus in the beauty treatment product as stated by the author in the journal below. Abelmoschus esculentus are suitable to be the main ingredient due to the benefit that has been stated by the author in the journal
Smart construction implementation in the Malaysian construction industry / Yazira Ayob, Nurul Afida Isnaini Janipha and Izza Izzati Norazwan Booi
Smart construction involves the entire process of advancing digitisation, connectivity, visualisation, automation, and intelligence. Malaysia has recently started implementing smart construction, particularly in line with Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0. Therefore, this research aims to investigate
the implementation of smart construction in the Malaysian construction industry. Two (2) objectives were outlined: to identify the components of smart construction and to determine the benefits of smart construction in the Malaysian construction industry. An extensive literature review was done to obtain general information related to the components of smart construction and its benefits at large. A 254 questionnaire surveys were distributed to the G7 contractors in Johor via an online platform to learn in-depth about the components and benefits of smart construction in the Malaysian context. 31% of responses were obtained and analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software. Findings revealed two (2) main components of smart construction: digital technologies and manufacturing, and five (5) core benefits have been identified. Thus, the emergence of smart construction will lead to better construction site management, proper construction monitoring, enhanced resource and asset management, and improved workplace safety. This research acts as a continuous source of information for the ongoing research undertaken by the author on the need to establish smart construction concepts in the Malaysian construction industry
Manifestasi citra alam dalam novel Ombak Bukan Penghalang: Suatu penelitian firasat Melayu
Natural covering the entire life on the earth and sky. Prior to this study of literary materials such as poetry has been widely applied, especially the study of poems, rhymes and poems, but the study of the novel given less attention. Study aims to identify and analyze the use of natural elements in the novel by author Osman Ayob. In addition, analysis of this study will answer the question related to wether the image of nature that often used in the novel and how the image is
used in the novel Ombak Bukan Penghalang. This study was analyzed by using a hunch Malay. Reseachers chose this approach because, Physiognomy as one of the approaches in the study off french literature (Hashim Awang, 1989). This study could explain that the artist Osman Ayob has made elements of nature as an important source of income their work
Current status on the diversity and abundance of ichneumonids (hymenoptera : ichneumonidae) in Kuala Lompat Forest Reserve, Pahang / Azizi, M.A. ... [et al.]
The ichnuemonids (Hymennoptera: Ichneumonidae) are parasitic wasps which play a key role in maintaining
insect population dynamics in forest and agricultural ecosystems. Due to this fact, some species are being used
as important biological control agents of insect pests of economic importance and proved to be one of the best
biological indicators of forest disturbance. As such, a study on the diversity and abundance of ichnuemonids
(Hymennoptera: Ichneumonidae) in Kuala Lompat Forest Reserve, Pahang (KLFR) was conducted. In this
study, the ichnuemonids were collected continuously for three months using Malaise trap. A total of five malaise
traps were located at different plots in the surrounding area. The collected specimens were identified up to
morphospecies level. Data was analyzed using Bio-DAP software to get the ecological indexes (ShannonWiener diversity Index (H’), the Evenness Index (E) and the Margalef Index (R’)). A total of 350 individuals
from 14 subfamilies and 45 morphospecies were successfully collected from KLFR. The subfamily collected
were Adelognathinae, Anomaloninae, Campopleginae, Cremastinae, Cryptinae, Ichneumoninae, Lycorininae,
Mesochorinae, Metopiinae, Ophioninae, Orthocentrinae, Phrudinae, Pimplinae and Poemeniinae. The
ecological index values were 3.18, 0.85 and 7.51 for the H’. E’ and R’, respectively, indicating high ichneumonid species diversity and individual abundance at KLFR. The highest number of individuals and morphospecies collected was from the subfamily Cryptinae (123, 10) and followed by Pimplinae (104,9). However, further investigation should be conducted in the near future to measure human interventions, biotic and abiotic factors that influence the diversity and abundance of ichneumonids in KLFR
FYP Library System Using Taxonomy Data Representation
Final Year Project (FYP) is a compulsory course for all students as a requirement to
graduate. Currently, Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) has no library system to store
information about FYP. All information about FYP is recorded by FYP coordinator but
does not share among lecturers and students. All FYP reports are kept in the room at
building 1. The FYP reports are kept in cabinet without sort out according to semester or
cluster. The objective of the project is to develop a web based library system to store
information about FYP using taxonomy data representation. This system is computerized
all functions in the current system. This system provides features to view all projects,
view selected project and search at a particular project. Author has done analysis
regarding user preference and based on the analysis's result, author found that there is a
need to develop a web based library system to store information about FYP using
taxonomy data representation. It stated that users prefer to view data in taxonomy rather
than in table. This system is developed using JavaServer Pages (JSP) and has undergone
functional, integration and user acceptance testing. As the result, FYP library system is
developed in three modules, administrator, lecturer and student. All features in the system
have solved the problems stated. Data in this system are presented in taxonomy where
user can view data as specific as possible. As a conclusion, this system has achieved the
objective stated and presented data in taxonomy
