Substitutive Skeleton Fusion for Human Action Recognition
No full textAdvancement of RGB-D cameras that are capable of tracking human body movement in the form of a skeleton has contributed to growing interest in skeleton-based human action recognition. However, the tracking performance of a single camera is prone to occlusion and is view dependent. In this study, we use fusion skeletal data obtained from two views for recognizing human action.We perform a substitutive fusion based on joint tracking status and build a view-invariant action recognition system. The resulting fusion skeletal data are transformed into histogram of cubes as a frame level feature. Clustering is applied to build a dictionary of frame representatives, and actions are encoded as sequences of frame representatives. Finally, recognition is performed as a sequence matching task by using Dynamic Time Warping with K-nearest neighbor. Experimental results show that fusion skeletal data consistently give better recognition performance than their single view counterpart

Despite efforts by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) to make GAAP accounting rules more flexible and less burdensome, stakeholders often disagree with its decisions. These issues encompass a range of preventable accounting aspects that directly impact a company, such as inaccurate financial statements, security risks, outdated standards, and negative audit outcomes. In cases of fraud, accounting issues stem from inadequate internal controls, lack of training on changing regulations, dependence on individuals, and ethical lapses. Fraud related accounting issues may include major financial errors, undetected fraud due to weak controls, misapplication of GAAP standards, regulatory breaches, and cybersecurity threats. Such issues can distort a company's profitability and cash flow and may arise from embezzlement or collusion due to inadequate internal controls
Predicting corporate failure on public listed companies in Malaysian stock market / Nur Kamaliah Azis
No full textThis study is worked on developing a best model to predict corporate failure amongst public listed companies in Malaysia. The sample used in this study was selected from the companies listed on Bursa Malaysia. The total number of companies selected is 100 from all different sectors available in Bursa Malaysia. The sample comprises of two different grouped of companies which is 50 distressed (PN17) companies and 50 non-distressed (Non-PN17) companies from the period 2010 to 2012. According to the findings, the result shows that three of the variables are significant except for liquidity ratio which is not significant. In short, the results of the study suggest that financial leverage ratio, profitability ratio and activity ratio have significant influences on corporate failure in Malaysia. Therefore, this suggest that the financial ratio analysis plays an important role in supporting the operations of financial institution

This business started in 2020, yet have expend their business by having agents in those hotspot areas such as Kuala Lumpur, Perak, Selangor, and Kuantan, since they based in Bera, Pahang, and they are not able to post out their fragile products, and they are did not open any branch yet. The reason why I chose this business is because I think that they have big potential to increase their sales and expend their business in the future.
The owner is one of my acquaintance, not too relatable but she is one of my seniors in school, she has been knowing as a hardworking girl and independent.
