The process of piling work with bore pile method / Muhamad Afiq Azfar Mat Zin
Practical training is a training industry that brings students closer about the real nature of construction jobs. Students are allowed to undergo practical training in the government sector or the private sector and students are allowed to apply for a place was selected by self. During the 16 weeks of practical training at the project site in Jeli, I have identified several topics of study in accordance with the work done on the construction site and after discussion with my supervisor what title that suitable for final report. I chosen the title The process piling work with bore pile method. The real aim of the practical training is to provide an opportunity for students to practice the theory learned in the classroom and used for real work in industries. So students can acquire new knowledge and great experience during this Industrial Training while it helps the students to get jobs. In conclusion, this is absolutely compulsory industrial training conducted for all students because it is the best method to expose students to real working conditions on site
Fault classification in transmission line using single layer feed-forward network trained by extreme learning machine / Muhamad Azfar Abd Ghafar
Transmission line with fast and accurate fault classification is very important for protection and safety manner. The presence of distorted signals will cause the transmission line fail to classify definitely the fault that occurred. There are many impacts if the failure to classify fault in transmission line happen such as waste of time, high maintenance cost, and the device itself will having problem. Thus, it is important to provide a good fault classification in transmission line even though the signals are distorted by noise. This paper present a study of fault classification in transmission line with a combination of wavelet transform (WT) and single layer feed-forward network (SLFN) trained by Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) algorithm. The WT is used to decompose the input of three-phase current signal produced by the three-phase transmission line model and extract it into desired features. In this paper, the energy and mean features are been selected. The SLFN is trained by an algorithm named Extreme Learning Machine (ELM). The extracted features will be fed up into SLFN to classify the fault. Classification performance of SLFN is evaluated by using two types of dataset which are dataset without noise and another dataset with Signal to ratio (SNR) 30 dB. The results of this work show that fault classification using SLFN trained by ELM has high accuracy on estimating fault in transmission line system

Preliminary phytochemical investigation of antimicrobial and antioxidative secondary metabolites from the stem extract of Leea indica (memali) / Muhamad Azfar Abd Jalil
Leea indica is one of the herbal medicine that widely used by the locals in Malaysia. The current study focused on antibacterial and antioxidant properties from three different stem extracts of L. indica. Disk diffusion and Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) bioautography were used to determine the antibacterial activity while radical scavenging method by using I, l-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) solution was applied for screening of antioxidant compound on TLC and semi-quantitative dot blot assay. The phytochemicals screening showed negative result for alkaloids test but positive results for other compounds such as glycosides, tannins, saponins, and steroids. The extracts that were separated by using TLC method were screened for phytochemicals but only methanol (MeOH) extract showed the presence of phenolic compound. The disk diffusion assay showed that dichloromethane (DCM) extract have the strongest antibacterial activity on both Staphyloccous aureus and Staphyloccocus epidermidis with 6.3 mm and 7.0 mm average inhibition zone respectively at 50 mg/mL extract compare to petroleum ether (PE) and MeOH extracts. The PE extract showed strong inhibition against S. epidermidis with 6.3 mm average inhibition zone at 25 mg/mL concentration. The results of TLC bioautography also agreed with disk diffusion assay as inhibition zone were observed in DCM extract after compounds had been separated. Antioxidant compounds were observed in all extracts as yellow spot appear on TLC plates after spraying with DPPH solution, but only MeOH extract showed the strongest antioxidant activity even after the extract were diluted until 0.19 mg/mL concentration. The stem extracts of L. indica showed potential in terms of antibacterial and antioxidant properties. DCM extract showed most potential in terms of antibacterial activity. The MeOH extract only showed potential in terms of antioxidant activity due to common phenolic compounds that had already been reported as strong radical scavengers
Are you intended towards e-waste recycling?: a case of USM students / Muhamad Azfar Mohamad Zuhdi and Haziq Iskandar Hamdan
Nowadays, the proliferation of technological advancement in the electrical and electronic industry had led to the development of sophisticated devices which results in the increment of the obsolete rate of the lower device which tends to be waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) (Sabbaghi, Esmaeilian, Raihanian, Behdad and Cade, 2015). Directing to the e-waste problem, this issue is a global concern as e-waste is a source for a load of toxic materials such as lead, cadmium, mercury, chromium and poly-brominated biphenyls. In addition, e-waste is a source of precious metals such as iron (Fe), copper (Cu), aluminium (Al), gold (Au), silver (Ag) and others (Madrigal-Arias et al, 2015). Furthermore, electronic waste contributed to the concentration of lead (Pb) to the landfills in the US (EPA, 2000)
Hand phone detector and jammer / Muhamad Helmi Jamil, Muhammad Azfar Abdullah Pani and Nik Mohamad Haris Murshidi Nik Hassan
Nowadays as we know almost everyone in this world would have at least one cell phone at their disposal. Having a hand phone is not a problem itself, but using it without any restriction and without knowing where and when is a problem. Due to a lot of misused in hand phone such as using it during class, prayer, disturbing patients in the hospital et cetera, we have decided to build a device that can detect and block the signal of the cell phone. It is called Hand phone detector and jammer. In order to block the device, first the device will detect the frequency of the hand phone and it will block the signal after it detects the cell phone. All hand phone transmit certain amount of radio frequency, so to block it the device will transmit approximately the same radio frequency as the cell phone to disrupt the communication between the cell phone and the radio base station in the tower. This is called denial of service attack

Students are a very important element in educational and teaching activities in schools. Educational institutions are established for the benefit of students. Therefore it needs to get enough attention from the implementation of education in order to achieve the objectives of national education as a whole. Therefore, as a prospective educator later, in order to be able to administer for students so that the learning process runs well it is necessary to understand about the administration of students / students. Therefore, the author tries to make a paper that discusses the administration of students
No time to dispose? a study on the correlations and its contributing factors affecting university students’ intention to practise e-waste / Muhamad Azfar Mohamad Zuhdi ... [et al.]
E-waste is a serious environmental problem. This study examines the correlations and its contributing factors affecting the e-waste recycling intention level among university students. A cross-sectional design using a quantitative method was used in this research and out of 370 questionnaires distributed only 285 were useable for further analysis. Results showed that majority of the university students had an average level of e-waste recycling intention. The association between attitudes, environmental awareness, law and regulations, convenience of recycling facilities and service and e-waste recycling intention is significantly correlated with the e-waste recycling intention among university students. Findings showed that attitudes were the main factor affecting the e-waste recycling intention. Thus, this study contributes a greater understanding of e-waste recycling especially for university students as they are the educated community. As such, a proper e-waste recycling campaign is a collaborative effort to raise awareness on public as well as university students against the waste landing in landfills
