КОМПЛЕКСНА ОЦІНКА ОДЕСЬКОГО МОРСЬКОГО ПОРТУ НА БАЗІ КОНЦЕПЦІЇ СТАЛОГО РОЗВИТКУ
Get PDFThe publication is devoted to the problem of choosing a strategic direction for further development of the Odessa seaport territories. According to some urban planning experts, the main problem of these territories is that the development of a cargo port, handling of bulk cargoes and increasing the traffic load in the city center of Odessa inevitably leads to the degradation of the city-port system. Therefore, they raise the issue of the cargo port remove outside the city to develop these territories as a recreational facilities. But their opponents believe that the port is not only noise and dust, it is also thousands of jobs for inhabitants and the source of state revenue refill and taxes to the local budget. Sea ports are also plays an important role in state interests as a gate for export of Ukrainian products. So the aim of the study is a comprehensive assessment of the port activity based on the sustainable deve-lopment concept, which considers the sustainable development of complex systems of human settlements, states or civilization as a whole by ensuring balanced development of the social, economic and environmental spheres of these systems. The article provides an integrated analysis of the Odessa seaport activities in the economic, social, environmental and urban planning fields. The role of this enterprise and the strategic directions of its further development in the context of transportation, the ecology of the urban environment and urban planning activity are defined. The analysis showed the complexity and ambiguity of the Odessa seaport location and its further deve-lopment in residential area in the historic center of the Odessa city. In order to reduce the environmental and traffic negative impact of the port to residential buildings, it is necessary to modernize the port and ensure the development of appropriate infrastructure, as well as eliminate impossible activities from an urban planning point of view at the port's location. As the main private investment attractor for the seaport development can be used some areas freed up after the optimization of the port activity, which will be provided under certain investment conditions for building recreational facilities. The development of a model for the comprehensive assessment of similar development projects is a promising direction for further research in this field.Публикация посвящена проблеме выбора стратегического направления дальнейшего развития территорий Одесского морского торгового порта. Целью исследования является комплексная оценка деятельности порта на базе концепции устойчивого развития, рассматривающей устойчивое развитие сложных систем населенных пунктов, государств или цивилизации в целом путем обеспечения сбалансированного развития социальной, экономической и экологической сфер этих систем. В статье осуществлен укрупненный анализ деятельности Одесского морского торгового порта в экономической, социальной, экологической и градостроительной сфере; определена роль этого предприятия и стратегические направления его дальнейшего развития в контексте транспортных перевозок, экологии городской среды и градостроительной деятельности. Проведенный анализ показал сложность и неоднозначность размещения и дальнейшего развития Одесского морского торгового порта в жилой застройке в историческом центре города. С целью снижения экологического и транспортного негативного влияния порта на жилую застройку, необходимо провести модернизацию порта и обеспечить развитие соответствующей инфраструктуры, а также устранить виды деятельности, невозможные с градостроительной точки зрения по месту размещения порта. Источником привлечения частных инвестиций для развития порта могут стать территории, освобожденные после оптимизации деятельности порта, которые будут предоставляться на определенных инвестиционных условиях под застройку рекреационными объектами.Публікація присвячена проблемі вибору стратегічного напрямку подальшого розвитку територій Одеського морського торговельного порту. Метою дослідження є комплексна оцінка діяльності порту на базі концепції сталого розвитку, що розглядає стійкий розвиток складних систем населених пунктів, держав або цивілізації в цілому через забезпечення збалансованого розвитку соціальної, економічної та екологічної сфер цих систем. В статті здійснено укрупнений аналіз діяльності Одеського порту в економічній, соціальній, екологічній та містобудівній сфері; визначено роль цього підприємства та стратегічні напрямки його майбутнього розвитку в контексті транспортних перевезень, екології міського середовища та містобудівної діяльності. Проведений аналіз довів складність та неоднозначність розміщення і подальшого розвитку Одеського морського порту у житловій забудові в історичному центрі міста. З метою зниження екологічного та транспортного негативного впливу порту на житлову забудову, необхідно провести модер-нізацію порту та забезпечити розвиток відповідної інфраструктури, а також усунути види діяльності, що є неможливими з містобудівної точки зору за місцем розміщення порту. Джерелом залучення приватних інвестицій для розвитку порту можуть стати території, вивільнені після оптимізації діяльності порту, що будуть надаватись на певних інвестиційних умовах під забудову рекреаційними об`єктами
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
