Democratic Welfare State as Visualised by the Quaid-i-Azam
The Quaid-i-Azam, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, is known more for his political achievements than for his socio-economic thought. Last two decades, however, have seen a continuous flow of books containing his speeches, statements, messages, interviews, discussions in pre-independence legislative bodies and addresses in the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan. Even a cursory look at this vast literature shows that he was not only concerned with the political aspect of sub-continent’s independence movement but also consistently expressed his views regarding the socio-economic uplift of masses in general and Muslim society in particular. These views in their bare essentials reflect a remarkable continuity of approach from the earlier days of his political career to the period he occupied the position of Governor General of Pakistan. Actually, he became more and more expressive and forthright as the prospects of Pakistan coming into existence became bright. When Pakistan finally appeared as a sovereign nation on the map of the world, he openly rejected the prevailing economic system as having failed to do justice between man and man and to eradicate friction from the international field.
Health information : informative guidance for the users / Ahmad Nur Azam Ahmad Ridzuan and Nurul Nabihah Mohd Shamsul
People can search any information in internet through platform such as Google search, Bing and many more. The health information technology made patient become the producer of their own health because it enables them to access their health information anywhere. Furthermore, there are many people search their medical information on the internet not only for themselves but sometimes also for their family members or friends. There are thousands of medical websites and some provide health information which are may or may not up to date and reliable. Therefore, this study attempts to explore on how to choose the reliable website especially those who interested on looking their health information. People including patients and consumers need to be noted where there are pros and cons of the health information that available on web. Choosing the reliable websites is the first step in gathering online health information. Next, people must get to know the person who wrote the information and the reviews. Besides, the health information must be written or reviewed by healthcare professionals. Many sources can be used by internet’s user to seek on health information which not only come from the internet but also on printed sources such as magazine and newspapers. Electronic health record (EHR) is now been used widely in order to record patient information in online basis as well as one of tools whereby it is deliberately used by users on looking into their health condition
A multi-purpose cadastre prototype on the web
Deposited with permission of the author. © 2000 Shamsul Abdul Majid. The Multi-Purpose Cadastre concept has been discussed over the last three decades. The concept, although idealistic when conceived, is still regarded as visionary in addressing the inherent limitations of most modern geo-spatial systems, especially cadastral systems worldwide. The concept is being used to better disseminate and utilise the increasingly large amount of data contained in many of the geo-spatial databases developed over the last few years. The utilisation of the World Wide Web has allowed these geo-spatial systems to evolve into online ‘virtual’ systems that are accessible by most people with the appropriate tools (the computers and telephone lines). This thesis analysed the growing development of these online systems. It describes a review of online cadastral systems that revealed the similarities in moving towards the future vision of cadastral systems of the 21st century, as highlighted by the International Federation of Surveyors document, Cadastre 2014. The rapidly growing volume of geo-spatial data, which has been attributed by technologies such as remote sensing and Global Positioning Systems, are impacting on the way societies of today, are using, viewing and storing geo-spatial data. Improvements in related areas such as the Spatial Data Infrastructure, the Open GIS Consortium and the Australian World Wide Web Mapping Consortium are described and discussed in this thesis
ہندوستان میں لکھی جانے والی اولین فارسی خودنوشت
This paper is an introduction and analysis of the first Persian autobiography written in India. The autobiography was written by Amīruddīn Miraṅ Jī Shamsul Ushshāq around 1585. Shamsul Ushshāq belonged to the Chishtia school of Sufism and was a noted writer and mystic saint of the ‘Ādil Shāhī period (1490–1686). The two distinct but integrated streams of the book are based on ancestral and personal accounts of the author. Five known manuscripts of the book are available in Bījāpūr and Hyderabad (India).
The effect of chalcogen substitution on the structure and spectroscopy of 4,7-dimethyl-2: H -chromen-2-one/thione analogues
4,7-Dimethyl-2H-chromen-2-one (1) and its novel sulfur analogue 4,7-dimethyl-2H-chromen-2-thione (2) were synthesized and fully characterized by spectroscopic methods and mass spectrometry. The crystal structure of compound 2 has been determined by X-ray diffraction methods, and it crystallizes in the monoclinic I2/m space group. The molecular skeleton lies in the crystallographic mirror plane, in agreement with the expected theoretical planarity enforced by extended π-bonding. The crystal packing of both compounds is characterized by the R22(8) motif formed by intermolecular C–H⋯X[double bond, length as m-dash]C (X = O and S) hydrogen-bonding interactions involving the 1-benzopyran-2-one/thione moiety, as also identified by Hirshfeld surface analysis. The vibrational properties have been studied by infrared and Raman spectroscopy complemented by quantum chemical calculations and normal coordinate analysis of the potential energy distribution. The UV-Vis spectrum is interpreted in terms of TD-DFT quantum chemical calculations, showing a clear red-shift in the HOMO–LUMO electronic transition when the chromen-2-one ring is converted into chromen-2-thione.Fil: Delgado Espinosa, Zuly Yuliana. An analysis of the optical response of amorphous semiconductors with distributions of defect states
Defects play an important role in shaping the optical response of a semiconductor material. In this thesis, models for the spectral dependence of the imaginary part of the dielectric function, for the specific case of defective amorphous semiconductors, are considered. Within the framework of a joint density of states functional analysis, closed-form expressions are derived for the imaginary part of the dielectric function, with defect states taken into account. Both valence band and conduction band defect models are considered in this analysis. The role that the different types of optical transitions play in shaping the corresponding optical response are also closely examined. Using the derived models, the spectral dependence of the optical absorption coefficient is compared with that of experiment for defect absorption influenced samples of amorphous silicon. The fits of these models with the results of experiment are found to be satisfactory.Applied Science, Faculty ofEngineering, School of (Okanagan)Graduat

عون المعبود میں شمس الحقؒ کا منہج استنباط و استدلال: تجزیہ و بیان: Methodology of Shams al-Haq about Elicitation & Inference in ‘Awn al-Ma’būd: Analysis and Description
ʻAwn al-Maʻbūd(عون المعبود)’ is the book of Hadith interpretation. The author was blessed for being skilled enough in presenting the message of Islam with different methods. The jurisprudence, linguistic, and the philosophic approaches are also referred in his description. The author has deliberately measured the strength of contradictory statements. He has established some systematic and intellectual filters to measure the classification of contradictory statements and to make an affective decision upon it. In this paper, the introduction of Muhaddith Maulana Shamsulhaq's "Kitab al-Sunan" Sharh "Aun al-Mu'boud Sharh Sunan Abi Dawud", its characteristics and Shamsul Haq's manner and style in this Sharh have been discussed
