Grotesque Realism in O.V Vijayan’s The Saga of Dharmapuri
No full textThe Saga of Dharmapuri by O.V. Vijayan is a dystopian fantasy set in the imaginary country of Dharmapuri, which could be a depiction of India or any other newly independent country in the post-colonial era. Mikhail Bakhtin in his treatise Rabelais and his World (1965) justifies the use of Grotesque Realism, a literary trope that allows the author to move away from the conventions of propriety and decency to convey messages that are real and powerful nevertheless. Usually exaggeration and hyperbole are key elements of this style. Through the centuries, literature has often been a medium through which contemporary concerns have been transmitted. This paper argues that O.V. Vijayan uses Grotesque Realism in his novel to depict the political, social and economic condition of India of the 1970s- specifically a country that was under emergency. Like all dystopian fables, The Saga of Dharmapuri has been prophetic in anticipating some of the social issues that we face even today. The Concept of the Digital Play by S. Edwards in the Context of the Cultural-Historical Paradigm
No full textThe article presents an analysis of the works of S. Edwards devoted to the development of a holistic concept of digital play in the tradition of the Cultural-Historical Scientific School. The main difficulties are connected with the transformation of the idea of mediation into the context of digital technologies. We analyzed the understanding of the idea of mediation in the works of L.S. Vygotsky, A.N. Leontiev, Y. Engeström\. On the basis of the studies of O.K. Tikhomirov, O.V. Rubtsova, S.A. Smirnov, G. Rückriem and studied how the concept of mediation can be transformed in the era of digital technologies. We also analyzed the transformation of the key concepts of the cultural-historical psychology in the works of S. Edwards, such as children's play. The contemporary children's play reflects the processes of digitalization and cultural globalization of contemporary childhood. S. Edwards introduces the concept of convergent play as the leading activity of contemporary children. Convergent play is characterized by the blurring of boundaries between traditional and digital play and the integration of digital technologies into the daily lives of children. The author argues that it is necessary to create a holistic concept of digital play corresponding to the cultural-historical tradition.</p

The scientific article is devoted to the investigation of the examination of a person
as a form of investigative actions, which is provided in Russian and Ukrainian legislations.
The subject of the study is the criminal procedural legal relations between the participants
of examination based on the norms of the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) of Ukraine and
the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) of Russian Federation (RF). Objectives of the study -
the analysis of the existing legislative norms in the criminal procedural codes of RF and
Ukraine, as well as, on their basis, the development of new and improving of existing
procedural, organizational and tactical measures used in the examination of a person
aiming to improve its quality and effectiveness are the subject of the examination. The
methodology of the article consists of comparative, formal-logical, statistical and
sociological methods. The shortcomings and gaps in its legislative implementation are
noted and ways of their solution are presented. The author's approach to conducting
examination of a person is proposed with the aim of improving the regulatory and legal
regulation of the conducting the examination in the CPC of Ukraine

Проаналізовано праці вітчизняних та зарубіжних авторів, які досліджували зазначену проблему. Розкрито сутність умисного вбивства в стані сильного хвилювання за законодавством України та особливості кримінальної відповідальності за його вчинення, а також проведено аналіз і класифікацію поняття злочинця з позицій різних галузей наукових знань. На основі аналізу слідчої та судової практики у кримінальному провадженні за фактом умисного вбивства в стані сильного хвилювання проведено опитування працівників, які брали участь у розслідуванні досліджуваного складу кримінального правопорушення. Розроблено критерії класифікації та розвитку типових психологічних особливостей особи, яка вчинила умисне вбивство в стані сильного душевного хвилювання. Значення психолого-криміналістичної характеристики для методики розслідування умисного вбивства в стані сильного
душевного хвилювання. Залежно від ролі особи та типу поведінки злочинця і потерпілого аналізуються ситуації виникнення стану сильного душевного хвилювання та характер взаємовідносин жертви і вбивці в механізмі злочину. The article deals with the issues of the psychological
characteristics of the person who commits a premeditated
murder in a state of strong commotion and its role in the method
of investigation of the specified type of the criminal offense. The author analyzes the works of domestic and foreign authors who
conducted research on the above-mentioned issue. The essence
of a premeditated murder in a state of strong commotion under
the legislation of Ukraine and features of criminal responsibility
for its commission, as well as analysis and classification of the
notion of the offender from the positions of various branches
of scientific knowledge are revealed. Based on the analysis of
investigative and judicial practice in criminal proceedings in a
premeditated murder in a state of strong commotion, a survey of
employees involved in the investigation of the investigated type
of criminal offense was carried out. A criteria for the classification
and development of the typical psychological characteristics of
the person who committs the intentional homicide in a state of
strong emotional excitement was developed. The importance
of the psychological - forensic characteristics for the method
of investigation of a premeditated murder in a state of strong
commotion was emphasized. Depending on the role of the
person and the type of behavior of the offender and the victim,
the situations of the emerging of a state of intense emotional
excitement are analyzed and the character of the relationship
between the victim and killer in the mechanism of the crime is
proved
