    This article examines Los cristales de la sal (2019), the frst novel by the Colombian author Cristina Bendek, and explores its relation within the Colombian national literary canon. Through the analysis of its translingual and transnational narrative strategies, this article identifes a trans-Caribbean poetics in the novel that redefne the contours of Colombian literature while creating intertextual ties and relations with Caribbean literatures. The article concludes with a dicussion of the ecological as well as the literary function of the translingual and transnational strategies at play, and the stakes of the novel’s trans-Caribbean poetics for the natural, literary and human ecologies of the region.Este artículo propone examinar Los cristales de la sal (2019), la primera novela de la autora colombiana Cristina Bendek, y su relación dentro del canon de literatura nacional colombiana. A través del análisis de las estrategias narrativas translingües y transnacionales empleadas en la novela, se identifcará la construcción de una poética transcaribeña que redefne los contornos de la literatura colombiana y crea vínculos y relaciones intertextuales con la literatura caribeña. En las conclusiones del análisis se discutirá la función no sólo literaria sino también ecologista de las estrategias translingües y transnacionales de la novela, y las implicaciones de su poética transcaribeña para las ecologías naturales, literarias y humanas de la regió
