Full text linkDalam pembuatan film sutradara tidak bekerja sendiri, selain dengan departemen lain sutradara memiliki asisten sutradara,. Asisten Sutradara adalah seseorang yang membantu menjalankan tugas-tugasnya. Singkatan atau sebutan laindari asisten sutradara adalah astrada. Istilah internasionalnya adalah assistand director. Astrada memiliki peran penting selama produksi. Kelancaran dalam proses produksi juga dipegang oleh astrada.
Asisten sutradara harus memiliki tingkat komunikasi dan manajemen yang baik. Dalam astrada memiliki susunan standar SOP (Standar Operasional Produksi) asisten sutradara ada 3, yaitu asisten sutradara yang mengatur penjadwalan dan waktu, asisten sutradara yang mengatur pada bagian talend seperti acting, bloking, moving, asisten sutradara yang mengatur kontinuiti adegan Asisten sutradara juga bertugas dalam hal menganalisis, membreakdown scenario. Pada saat naskah sudah selesai, asisten sutradara harus membaca naskah tersebut kemudian menganalisis detail-detail dari naskah kemudian membuat master breakdown yang merupakan ringkasan dari scenario tersebut. Dalam master breakdown berisi tentang scene, lokasi, talend, property, kostum dan keterangan yang dibutuhkan selama produksi.
Asisten sutradara juga harus melakukan hunting lokasi. Hunting lokasi adalah pencarian lokasi yang tepat untuk kebutuhan scenario dalam film. Merencanakan syuting, sebelum membuat jadwal syuting astrada merencanakan syuting dari data yang dikumpulkan, seperti jadwal pemain, set dan alat. Membuat jadwal syuting setelah membuat rancangan syuting astrada lalu membuat jadwal yang dinamakan call sheet.
Asisten sutradara juga memilki tugas untuk penyambung lidah sutradara. Semua kru akan bertanya tentang kebutuhan dan keinginan dari sutradara. Seorang asisten sutradara harus menjadi komunikator yang baik dan harus bisa memahami apa yang dimaksud oleh sutradara . Semisal astrada tidak paham harus bertanya kembali kepada sutradara

Laporan Tugas Akhir yang berjudul “Peranan Astrada dalam Film Pendek DOGMA” ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan astrada dalam film pendek Dogma.
