Part 7: Java Card SecurityInternational audienceFormal analysis is of importance in order to increase confidence that the protocol satisfies its security requirements. In particular, the results obtained from the formal analysis of the smart card security protocols when smart cards are used as a specific type of Secure Signature Creation Devices (SSCDs) are presented. SSCDs are developed to support the EU-directive on electronic signatures. In this paper, we focus on security properties, called the authentication and secrecy. The device authentication protocols mentioned in CWA 14890-1 are modeled using the high-level protocol specification language HLPSL and verified with the help of AVISPA tool. Our formal analysis does not reveal any weaknesses of the CWA 14890-1 protocol suite

Wir betrachten bekannte Webapplikationen (u.a. This dissertation looks into three important areas of web applications i.e., input handling, account recovery and privacy. For the input handling part, we look into popular desktop & mobile applications including Alexa top 100, PHP based XSS protections and WYSIWYG editors. We also propose three XSS mitigation solutions. The solutions are based on regular expressions, context aware encoding and fine-grained policy language respectively. Modsecurity is using our regular expression based solution while a popular CMS is using our context-aware mitigation approach. Further, we also found an attack called Trusted Friend Attack (TFA) on Facebook's password recovery mechanism. Furthermore, this thesis also shed light on Chain Trusted Friend Attack (CTFA) on Facebook along with a study of 50 popular social networking sites's account recovery procedures. In the end, we present TTPCookie, a fine-grained Firefox add-on for better control over cookies in order to minimize privacy risks

© 2014 S. Javed Maswood. In part two, the author explores the possibility that economic globalization may finally deliver to developing countries what they had failed to achieve in five decades of multilateral negotiations - an opportunity to climb the industrialization ladder and achieve development. The book offers a proposal for revising the format of trade negotiations in a way that helps overcome stalemates and deadlocks. This book provides a longitudinal study of developing country involvement in multilateral trade negotiations. The trade regime established at the end of the Second World War did not cater for, and in some cases excluded, the developmental interests of the newly independent countries. This book offers a detailed analysis of:• The first attempts to revise the trade regime in the 1960s through the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and the formation of the Group of 77 to enhance their bargaining potential.• The mixed coalition strategy, with the Cairns Group in the Uruguay Round of GATT.• The new bargaining coalition, the Group of Twenty, that took on a much more confrontational and assertive bargaining position in the unsuccessful Doha round of the World Trade Organization.Trade, Development and Globalization will be of interest to students and scholars of international trade, trade and development, negotiation, global governance, political economy, international relations and economics.https://fount.aucegypt.edu/faculty_books/1050/thumbnail.jp
