Primer estudio psicométrico de la versión española del Agressive Sexual Behavior Inventory (ASBI)
This instrumental study analyzes the internal structure, reliability and the validity of the Aggressive Sexual Behavior Inventory (ASBI) and provides the first psychometric data of Hispanic samples. For this purpose, the ASBI, the STAXI – 2, the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire and the Crowne-Marlowe Social Desirability Scale were applied in two samples consisting of respectively 227 and 699 men, all of them Salvadorian university students. The results do not support the multidimensional structure which was proposed originally by the authors of the ASBI, being the usage of total scores more recommended. This one-dimensional structure presents Cronbach alpha values of 0.90 and 0.85 in each sample. Evidence was found that this Spanish version of the ASBI has an adequate conver-gent and divergent validity. Finally, the influence of social desirability in the evaluation of aggressive sexual behaviour in men is discussed.
Electrical injection Ga(AsBi)/(AlGa)As single quantum well laser
The Ga(AsBi) material system opens opportunities in the field of high efficiency infrared laser diodes. We report on the growth, structural investigations, and lasing properties of dilute bismide Ga(AsBi)/(AlGa)As single quantum well lasers with 2.2% Bi grown by metal organic vapor phase epitaxy on GaAs (001) substrates. Electrically injected laser operation at room temperature is achieved with a threshold current density of 1.56 kA/cm2 at an emission wavelength of ∼947 nm. These results from broad area devices show great promise for developing efficient IR laser diodes based on this emerging materials system
Luminescence dynamics in Ga(AsBi)
Art. 161104, 3 S.The temporal evolution of the spectrally resolved luminescence is measured for a Ga(AsBi) sample at low temperatures. The results are analyzed with the help of kinetic Monte Carlo simulations incorporating two disorder scales attributed to alloy disorder and Bi- clustering. An average time of 5 ps is identified as the upper limit for carrier capture into the Bi clusters whereas the extracted hopping rate associated with alloy fluctuations is much faster than the transitions between the individual cluster sites.98Nr.1
A theory-based implementation program for alcohol screening and brief intervention (ASBI) in general practices: Planned development and study protocol of a cluster randomised controlled trial
Background: Previous studies have shown that alcohol screening and brief intervention (ASBI) in general practices can lead to significant reductions in alcohol consumption among patients, yet ASBI is rarely implemented into routine clinical practice. The aim of this paper is to describe the development and evaluation of an ASBI implementation program aimed at increasing ASBI delivery rates of general practitioners (GPs) and decreasing patients' alcohol consumption. Methods/design: This study protocol describes the step-wise development and evaluation of an ASBI implementation program. A four-step method is used to identify relevant determinants of change and intervention components based on the Behaviour Change Wheel and the Theoretical Domains Framework. The program will be evaluated in general practices in The Netherlands in a two-arm cluster randomised controlled trial which investigates the effect of the program on GPs' ASBI delivery behaviour as well as on patients' alcohol consumption. Discussion: Effective theory-and practice-based strategies to implement ASBI in general practices are highly needed. Using a stepwise method we described the development of a program consisting of an e-learning module, a tailored feedback module and environmental support and materials. We hypothesize that this program will result in an increase of GPs' ASBI delivery behaviour. Secondly, we expect an overall decrease in percentage of patients with excessive or problematic alcohol use and a higher proportion of patients from GPs receiving the ASBI implementation program decreasing their alcohol consumption, compared to patients from GPs in the control group
Pelatihan Entrepreneur Madu Herbal Anugerah Sukses Berkah Internasional (ASBI): Meningkatkan Keterampilan Bisnis Madu Lokal untuk Pemberdayaan Masyarakat
The Entrepreneur Training for Anugrah Sukses Berkah Internasional (ASBI) Honey aims to enhance the entrepreneurial skills of the community in managing and developing local honey businesses, particularly pure honey and pure honey with herbal additives. This event was held on February 8, 2025, at the ASBI PT. Auditorium, Metro City, Lampung, with 100 participants from various regions in Lampung. The training featured three expert speakers: Zainal Abidin, the owner of PT. ASBI, who presented the company's profile and strategies for developing ASBI honey business; Ari Suponto, a marketing expert, who explained marketing techniques and product development for ASBI honey; and Habib Ismail, an entrepreneurship practitioner, who shared insights on the importance of an entrepreneurial mindset in managing a business. The method used in this community service is an approach that combines training, education, and mentoring, aimed at providing practical understanding to participants on essential aspects of developing a honey business. Through these training sessions, participants were taught the importance of digital marketing, sound financial management, and product development to increase competitiveness in the market. The outcome of this training is expected to empower the community to professionally and sustainably develop the ASBI honey business while expanding the local honey product market network at the national level

The Adaptive Social Behavior Inventory (ASBI): Evaluation with High-Risk Preschoolers
This paper assesses the reliability and factor structure of the Adaptive Social Behavior Inventory (ASBI) with a multi-ethnic sample of 3- to 5-year-old Head Start children using teachers as raters. The ASBI is a 30-item instrument recently developed to assess multiple dimensions of social competence in 3-year-olds using mothers as raters. Features of the ASBI have led to its use with older Head Start children using teachers as raters, even though the reliability of the instrument and validity of the subscale structure have not been established in this context. Data from the present study provide interrater reliability assessment of the ASBI and confirm a factor structure for 3- to 5-year-old children that is identical to the one obtained in the original study of 3-year-olds. The three subscales, Express, Comply, and Disrupt, also had high levels of internal consistency. Potential uses of the ASBI with children attending preschool programs such as Head Start are discussed
The Sigma Factor AsbI Is Required for the Expression of Acinetobactin Siderophore Transport Genes in Aeromonas salmonicida
Aeromonas salmonicida subsp. salmonicida (A. salmonicida), a Gram-negative bacterium causing furunculosis in fish, produces the siderophores acinetobactin and amonabactins in order to extract iron from its hosts. While the synthesis and transport of both systems is well understood, the regulation pathways and conditions necessary for the production of each one of these siderophores are not clear. The acinetobactin gene cluster carries a gene (asbI) encoding a putative sigma factor belonging to group 4 σ factors, or, the ExtraCytoplasmic Function (ECF) group. By generating a null asbI mutant, we demonstrate that AsbI is a key regulator that controls acinetobactin acquisition in A. salmonicida, since it directly regulates the expression of the outer membrane transporter gene and other genes necessary for Fe-acinetobactin transport. Furthermore, AsbI regulatory functions are interconnected with other iron-dependent regulators, such as the Fur protein, as well as with other sigma factors in a complex regulatory network
