Why Did I Become An Entrepreneur: Case Study on S. M. Asad ul Haq
Introduction:Research papers on entrepreneurship generally discuss the characteristics and the psychological profile of entrepreneurs with the intent that people having certain qualities and personality traits are more likely to succeed as an entrepreneur. This is also the basis of psychometric tests that have been developed to evaluate one's potential to become an entrepreneur. These tests have been developed on the basis of research studies conducted to evaluate the psychometric profile of successful entrepreneurs. Such research however does not answer the question why some people with similar characteristics and similar psychological profile become entrepreneurs while others do not. It was with this intent that I have made an attempt to investigate into the events and the circumstances in the life of people who have become entrepreneurs. The basic premise is that it is not simply the characteristics and psychological profile of the person but more importantly the circumstances in the life of the person and that of his/her family that creates a situation which provides the thrust for one to take the initiative and the concomitant risk to start a business venture rather than to seek work as an employee in an organization
Robust model-based control of multistage manufacturing processes
This paper presents a novel method that utilizes in-process measurements of product quality and models that relate those measurements with the underlying manufacturing process parameters to drive down the product quality errors via strategic adjustments of the controllable process parameters. Uniqueness of the new method is its robustness to inevitable inaccuracies in the underlying models, as well as the absence of traditional, but restrictive assumptions of Gaussianity and independence of measurement and process noise terms. The new approach was demonstrated using models and data from an automotive cylinder head machining process and an industrial-scale semiconductor lithography overlay process
Deep Characterization of SARS-CoV-2: An Overview
The coronavirus epidemic has become one of the major health concerns all over the world recently. Like other strains of coronavirus, this strain also spreads through a droplet-based transmission that is the main cause of its worldwide spread. Several trials of antiviral medicines related to the control of the virus have already begun globally but still one of the main problems is the lack of a viable treatment option. An extensive amount of research is still taking place to organize the data associated with genomics and proteomics of its original strain SARS-CoV-2 alongside other mutant strains. This review summarizes the related up-to-date research that is going on the structural organization of the genome and proteome of the virus.

WHY DID I BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR? CASE STUDY ON S. M. ASAD-UL-HAQ
This case study is based on the proposition that it not necessarily the characteristics and the personality traits, but rather the circumstances in one's life that are at the heart of a person's decision regarding the choice of the profession that one adopts for sustaining his/her lifestyle. The subject of this case study is S. M. Asad ul Haq, a remarkable student of mine who started a fast food restaurant while studying for his BBA. The stool begins from the days of his grandfather who was a jagirdar in the Indian state of Behar. The rationale for beginning the investigation with the story of the grandfather is the premise that to understand a person one has to study the antecedents of the person and that the investigation should begin two generations prior to the birth of the subject of the study. A major watershed in the story happens with the partition of India in 1947 which uproots the family from its ancestral lands and forces it to migrate to East Pakistan for survival. The change in the family circumstances following the migration forces the family to change its lifesole. Education and job oriented profession rather land ownership becomes the means for survival for Asad's father who prefers to educate himself and join a bank. In 1971 the family is forced to endure a second migration as a consequence of the partition of Pakistan. The second migration breaks the joint family ,rystem that had endured the family lifestyle for generations. The change of profession from job orientation to entrepreneurship happens when Asad's eldest brother completes his education. The family's first foray into the word of business is Construction which fails. This however is not the end of the story. The family re-enters the world of entrepreneurship when Asad's second brother completes his education. This time the business enterprise is a Barbeque restaurant which eventually ends in a tragic failure. The case also involves an examination of the reasons for the failure of this venture. The final section of the case is the stool of Asad and his fast food venture. The case study is a stool of the enduring spirit and enterprise of a remarkable person and his family to break old traditions and the creation of new ones. It is hoped that the case study will inspire others to actively contemplate about the possibility of starting their own business venture and becoming entrepreneurs. Keywords: Entrepreneurship; SME, Mitigatio
Awake the Sleeper Within : Releasing the Energy of Stifled Domestic Commerce!
Policy in Pakistan has been fairly path-dependant, placing a higher weight on export promotion and domestic industrialisation development than on domestic commerce. Yet domestic commerce is growing rapidly, and quite possibly is the largest sector in the economy. This paper argues that a more holistic policy, with no favourites, that allows for all sectors to grow leads to better long-term economic results. A vibrant domestic commerce sector is the core of the economy facilitating intermediation between supply and demand, entrepreneurial development, risk-taking, innovation, and competitive markets. Such an economy moves beyond commodity exports to brand name, process, and capital exports, all of which command a higher rate of return. Pakistan could therefore achieve a higher and a more sustainable growth rate by adopting a more balanced growth strategy.domestic commerce, policy

Zia-ul-Haq M: Application of Certain π-Acceptors for the Spectrophotometric Determination of Alendronate Sodium
Two simple, fast, and accurate spectrophotometric methods for the determination of alendronate sodium are described. The methods are based on charge-transfer complex formation of the drug with two π-electron acceptors 7,7,7,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) and 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone (DDQ) in acetonitrile and methanol medium. The methods are followed spectrophotometrically by measuring the maximum absorbance at 840 nm and 465 nm, respectively. Under the optimized experimental conditions, the calibration curves showed a linear relationship over the concentration ranges of 2-10 μg mL −1 and 2-12 μg mL −1 , respectively. The optimal reactions conditions values such as the reagent concentration, heating time, and stability of reaction product were determined. No significant difference was obtained between the results of newly proposed methods and the B.P. Titrimetric procedures. The charge transfer approach using TCNQ and DDQ procedures described in this paper is simple, fast, accurate, precise, and extraction-free

A Dual-Mode Model Predictive Control Algorithm trajectory tracking in discrete-time nonlinear dynamic systems
In this paper a Dual-Mode Model Predictive / Linear Control method is presented, which extends the concept of dual-mode Model Predictive Control to trajectory tracking control of nonlinear dynamic systems described by discrete-time state-space models. The dual-mode controller comprises of a time-varying linear control law, implemented when the states lie within a sufficiently small neighborhood of the reference trajectory, and a model predictive control strategy driving the system towards that neighborhood. The boundary of this neighborhood is characterized so as to ensure stability of the closed-loop system and terminate the optimization procedure in a finite number of iterations, without jeopardizing the stability of the closed-loop system. The developed controller is applied to the central Air Handling Unit of a two-zone Variable Air Volume (VAV) Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning system
