Java-PHP Automated Router Configuration is a system application that allows users to automatically generate scripting configuration especially for Internet Protocol (IP) Core services more quickly and accurately. With this application system, validation, verification, design and profiling information will be carried out easily without using the traditional method of using Excel file to manually extract the router configuration. Aside to that, scripting can be automatically generated and clearly displayed. Currently the process is based on manually scripting in Excel for configuration and users are required to enter the profile information. The problem come due to the process takes longer time for each department to complete their own task due. Furthermore, certain department has to wait for other department to complete its task before other department can proceed. Due to. this problem, the initiatives is to build an application that will assist network engineers and administrator to configure IP core based services by automatically generating configuration scriptures and focusing more on the verification. It will push configuration scripting's in router automatically from the IP Core router. Therefore, it is essential that a program is written to organize these bulks of data for storage and data retrieval, by the entire related department in Telekom Malaysia (TM). The main specific goal of this study is to build an application that will assist network engineers and other administrators to configure Ethernet services automatically. It will generate configuration scriptures from the network system used; in this case IP Core network based equipment (router). This project also demonstrates the effectiveness of using an object oriented approach to analyze, design and programming. This system is developed by using several programming languages such as Virtual Basic, PHP and Java for Web Application. The outcome for this project is an automated router configuration which is one of the platforms by doing another automated task in our division to achieve all the objective as mention below to increase the productivity and revenue in TM

Street Art out of Time: The Cultural Moussem of Asilah and other Entanglements of Public Space, Arts, and Politics

    No full text
The small town of Asilah in the north of Morocco holds an annual international festival of visual and performance arts, including exhibitions, workshops, conferences, and other parallel activities. However, it is best known for the murals that are painted every year anew by invited artists on the facades of old town houses. Founded in 1978, the Arts Festival or Cultural Moussem of Asilah qualifies as the first street art festival in Morocco and has significantly shaped the cultural context for arts to interact with public spaces. It has, in particular, linked street art manifestations to ideas of cultural dialogue and south-south alliances as well as to urban regeneration and social development. At the same time, the Festival has been criticized for using the integrative concept of the moussem, a traditional communal festivity, for cultural marketing and for connecting arts and culture to the power of the monarchy. By focusing on political, aesthetic, and urban aspects of the institutionalization of the Asilah Festival, this article draws a genealogical perspective on entanglements of art, public culture, and urban politics in Morocco. It thereby analyzes the cultural context in which street art finds its place, meaning, and critical potential today

Power quality analysis based on root mean square and discrete fourier transform / Noor Asilah Yaacob

    No full text
Power Quality (PQ) disturbance is the most significant power issues concern by the customer side due to degradation of the power quality. The root cause of PQ disturbance can be identified by analyzing the characteristics of disturbances. From that, appropriate action can be conducted. The PQ disturbances in the voltage waveform are very difficult to identify using normal human sight. It is also difficult to analyze the PQ disturbance manually because of dealing with the huge sample of data waveform. Besides, the method in sag magnitude determination should be improved to get more relevant result. This project presents two methods for analyzing the PQ disturbance based on Root Mean Square (RMS) and Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT). A new technique is introduced to determine the voltage sag magnitude. This method is applied to the voltage waveform data as provided by the IEEE 1159.2 PQ event working group using MATLAB programming. The proposed method for sag magnitude determination is added by modifying the program of RMS and DFT measurement using Rectangular Approximation technique. For the result, the RMS and DFT method can use to analyze the voltage sag event. Both methods able to analyze the voltage sag detection time, sag duration and sag magnitude. The comparison performance between RMS and DFT method in voltage sag analysis is presented. The analysis result is affected by the sliding window technique and the size of the rectangle in the sag magnitude determination. For future work in this project, the method can be modified to analyze other types of PQ disturbances like swell, transient and harmonics for more practical
