Harald Sigurdsson and the Russo-Byzantine War of 1043
The present article analyzes Kekaumenos’ commentary on the service of Harald Sigurdsson in the Byzantine army. Special attention is given to the composition of Consilia et Narrationes and the historiographic perception of this text. It then discusses Kekaumenos’ commentary in light of Harald’s adventures in the Haralds saga Siguðarsonar and the story about the attacks of Rus’ in the Byzantine literature. The author attempts to show that Constantine IX Monomachos tried to leave the large groups of mercenaries in Constantinople. Furthermore, the emperor’s attitude to Harald and his warriors was related to the events of Russo-Byzantine war in 1043. Constantine IX Monomachos dispersed these mercenaries into the themes. John Scylitzes wrote that the emperor put a guard over them to prevent them from inciting a rebellion. These arrests could explain Harald’s mysterious detention in the reign of Constantine IX Monomachos. It is possible to conclude that Harald’s detention was caused by the Russo-Byzantine war in 1043

The fundamental constants: a mystery of physics
The speed of light, the fine structure constant, and Newton's constant of gravity — these are just three among the many physical constants that define our picture of the world. Where do they come from? Are they constant in time and across space? In this book, physicist and author Harald Fritzsch invites the reader to explore the mystery of the fundamental constants of physics in the company of Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, and a modern-day physicis

Menyikapi Keontentikan Hadis Dalam Perspektif Harald Motzki (Studi Isnad Cum Matan Harald Motzki): Id
Currently, it is still being debated by orientalists about the truth of hadith as a source of Islamic history that is no longer authentically derived from the prophet, as well as the views and thoughts of orientalists in studying hadith such as Ignaz Goldziher and Joseph Schacht which had a great influence on western scientists. The purpose of this study is to repeat the hadith criticism that has been tested by classical hadith scholars that most of the hadiths are not fake as some orientalists understand, the method used is the descriptive analysis of isnad cum matn, in this study the author conducted research by contemporary orientalist Harald Motdzi who broke the previous orientalist hadith critique by proving that from the historical sanad and matn hadith in the book of Musannaf Abd Razaq as-San\u27ani, this study proves that most of the traditions that are sources of law and history are authentic from the Prophet
Knowledge and time
This is a unique volume by a unique scientist, which combines conceptual, formal, and engineering approaches in a way that is rarely seen. Its core is the relation between ways of learning and knowing on the one hand and different modes of time on the other. Partial Boolean logic and the associated notion of complementarity are used to express this relation, and mathematical tools of fundamental physics are used to formalize it. Along the way many central philosophical problems are touched and addressed, above all the mind-body problem. Completed only shortly before the death of the author, the text has been edited and annotated by the author's close collaborator Harald Atmanspacher
Nils-Aslak Valkeapää: Indigenous Voice and Multimedia Artist
Nils-Aslak Valkeapää (1943–2001) was the greatest Sámi multimedia artist. He made his debut as an author in 1971 and is so far the only Sámi who has been awarded the prestigious Nordic Council's literature prize, for his book of poetry and old photographs Beaivi, áhčážan (1989) (The Sun, My Father [1997]). In this article Harald Gaski provides an analysis of two of Valkeapää's most renowned pieces of lyrical writing. Both are long-poems; the first one is a tribute to indigenous peoples’ values and philosophy while the other one is only available in its Sámi original and thus a linguistic and cultural manifestation. It is a challenge, therefore, for the author of this essay to explicate for a foreign reader why and how the poem represents a migrating reindeer herd and why the content of both poems is relevant and important for indigenous peoples today. </jats:p
Työn toimeksiantaja on Viikinkiravintola Harald Tampere.
For a person work is a source of livelihood, but also a central source of well-being and enthusiasm. Workplace well-being is the sum of many different factors and rises mainly in the life of the everyday work – work is experienced as meaningful and significant. The restaurant industry is undergoing a transformation and is constantly the source of public discussion – it is hard to find new employees and the industry's appeal is at an all-time low. The restaurant industry is desperate for the recognition it deserves and an overall boost – it is time to focus on its workplace well-being.
The topic of this thesis was formed based on the mutual interest of the author and the commissioner Viikinkiravintola Harald Tampere. The purpose of this study was to gather information about the current state of workplace well-being of the kitchen staff of the commissioning restaurant.
The empirical part consists of a follow-up study that was conducted in early 2024. As a part of the follow-up study interviews of the kitchen staff and survey study were also conducted. The objective of the study was to develop the well-being at work of the restaurant based on its results. The primary research method used was observation. The author of this thesis has worked in the restaurant for over four years and has been able to actively observe its functions during this time. In addition, comprehensive theory as well as background information from the restaurant were used.
The findings indicate that the workplace well-being of the kitchen staff is on a satisfactory level and success factors in the workplace well-being were identified. At the core of Harald's workplace well-being are strong routines, a continuous desire to improve, people-centered leadership – and most importantly, a warm work atmosphere. Based on the study, development suggestions were created and will be delivered to the commissioner to support the future development of workplace well-being
