The Indication of Zanna in Holy Quran
This article addresses the indication of Zanna/ “to believe, think or suppose,” in the Holy Quran. The author argues that Zanna retains its original meaning and does not indicate certitude, as many scholars have stated. Based on the position of Zanna in the verses of the Quran, the claims that it denotes certitude can be interpreted as suppositions. The reason why many scholars have interpreted Zanna as “knew” or “ascertained” is the fact that the meaning of Zanna in the verses is close to certitude to reach the most widely thought; thus, they interpreted it with as such.
The indication of Azzan in the Holy Quran might be in the meaning of “predominant supposition and thoughts,” as well as “false belief.” All of these meanings are determined by the contexts in which Zanna is mentioned

Objectives: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the fluoride releasing from two commercial products (adhesive and composite) using two different analytical techniques. Methods: Ten samples of dental adhesive ONE-UP Bond® F Plus Self-Etching Bonding Agent (Tokuyama Dental Corporation, Tokyo, Japan) and ten samples of composite BEAUTIFIL® Intro set (Shofu Dental Corporation Inc, kyoto, Japan) were prepared by using acrylic moulds with semi-spherical shape (d=10.3 mm, h=4.4 mm). The samples were stored in 55 ml of citric acid solution 0,02 M (pH 2.5) at 37° C. The storage solutions were modified after 7 days, 1,2,3 and 6 months. The obtained solutions were divided into two parts and analyzed for F content using a selective ion-electrode (Orion Research Inc., mod. 940911, Cambride, MA, USA) and a chromatographic column (ICS-90 ion-chromatography system, DIONEX, Sunnyvale, CA, USA). Results: In the table chromatographic and potentiometric analyses respectively. Conclusions: The study shows that the two techniques give quantitative of fluoride releasing data statistically different. The chromatographic technique showed a linear pattern of releasing different from potentiometric technique and the chromatographic technique may consequently be considered more adequate.

ECOLOGICAL, ECONOMICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT. DECOMPOSITION ANALYSIS OF ENERGY CONSUMPTION RELATED TO CO2 EMISSIONS IN ECUADOR
Decomposition Analysis (DA) is widely applied in understanding changes of economical, technological, environmental, and different indicators as energy consumption, employment and other socio-economic indicators. This work discusses the DA methodology and is applied within Ecuadorian case. We present the used technique, the applied mathematical methodology and the construction of an appropriate identity to measure the change of CO2 emission in Ecuador during the period of 1980-2025. Change is measured in both macro and disaggregated sectorial level. Specific aspects related to the application of DA to both the historical period (1980-2010) and in medium term prevision (2011-2025) for four proposed macro scenarios are discussed. The findings show that the evolution of the BS scenario, which implies a trend-growth GDP scenario, is almost a flat curve, however the CO2 emission increases steadily because of the absence of attenuation measurements. A similar behavior, although slightly sloping down, is observed for SC-2 scenario, where a rapid growth of the GDP is assumed without any attenuation action regarding to CO2 emissions. The other two scenarios, SC-3 and SC-4 show a steady reduction of the Dtot = Dact ratio due to the changes in the sectorial structure and in the energy mix, which allows compensation of rapid GDP growth. This analysis suggests that, with the appropriate changes in the energy mix, the sectorial structure, and the share of renewable energies, Ecuador can move into a more environmentally sustainable state.</jats:p
Current Approaches to Post-fall Assessment in Nursing Homes
Falls in nursing homes occur among a large percentage of residents. Their onset necessitates a postfall assessment (PFA) be performed by clinical staff to determine likely etiology. The absence of an empirically validated comprehensive postfall assessment tool has led to considerable variability in the types of PFAs performed. The purpose of this study was to examine the types of PFA tools available, their content, and to compare this with national recommendations for fall assessment in geriatric practice.Peer reviewe
High-growth firms’ behavior in Latam: the case of ICT sector in Ecuador
The work aims to study the High-Growth Companies (HGF) of the ICT sector in Quito-Ecuador and contribute to improve the understanding of the behavior of HGFs in the LATAM region by presenting empirical evidence. A tripod approach is used focusing on the Resource-based view with the test of 7 hypotheses over a case study. In addition, a contextualized survey for the case was carried out to cover both the Institution and the Industrial based view. A multivariate analysis was performed to explore what factors allow us to understand the high-growth behavior. The results show that 4 of the 7 hypotheses were accepted. The correlations between profitability, leverage, liquidity, innovation, and sales growth are relatively "low" but "statistically significant." An explanation is given according to the theoretical framework built. Otherwise, factors such as: solvency, infrastructure (machinery and equipment), exports “did not present statistically significant correlation”
Evidence base and benefits associated with a collagen-based nutraceutical drink
Traditionally, skin rejuvenation was perceived as something that could be achieved by topical product application and treatments targeting the skin's surface. Recently, however, there has been increasing interest in supporting skin function from within through the use of nutraceuticals. This paper looks at the evidence available surrounding the effectiveness of nutraceuticals for aesthetic applications. In particular, the author discusses clinical studies relating to a collagen-based nutraceutical drink, Skinade (Bottled Science). Skinade targets the skin as a whole organ by addressing overall skin health through its formulation and mechanism of action. The author is an aesthetic nurse who uses Skinade in her practice alongside aesthetic treatment modalities and topical skincare. In this product review, she explores the patient journey and highlights the importance of maximising skin health before, during and after interventions. </jats:p
Regional Cooperation in Dealing with Environmental Protection. E-government and Sustainable Development in Andean Countries
E-government for Sustainable Development is one of international cooperation strategy in dealing with
environmental protection and ecological problems through enhanced citizen participation, better access and quality of
services in order to achieve Green Governments. In this context, some countries are supported by international assistance
to achieve this goal with benchmarking and benchlearning approaches. This research contributes to explain the
relationship between improvements in governance influences in economic, social and environmental development and
how such regional cooperation on the development of national information and communication technology (ICT)
strategies and programs is related to E-government and Sustainable Development. This comparative study of Andean
countries takes a Rational Neo-institutionalist perspective to look at longitudinal changes in these developing countries.
Quantitative data such as E-government index is combined with qualitative information from reports and documents in
order to empirically examine effects of e-government on sustainable development in these countries. The findings show
that the strategies adopted by Ecuador have significantly contributed to its location within the references in progress of Egovernment and Sustainable Development in the region. The research suggests that E-government development has
positive effects on better governance and sustainable development of Andeans countries. Advancement on E-government
is not only a trait of developed countries but also serves as an enabler for sustainable development of developing
countries
Do high and volatile levels of public investment suggest misconduct ? the role of institutional quality
This paper investigates the impact of institutional quality on public investment levels over the period 1984-2008. Moreover, it studies how the volatility of public investment and the quality of infrastructure are affected by institutional quality, and explores the contribution of other critical factors. The findings suggest an inverse relationship between public investment levels and institutional quality, supporting the idea that governments use public investment as a vehicle for rent-seeking or to compensate for the fall in private investment due to the poor business environment. In addition, aid flows, revenues and abundance of natural resources contribute positively to the level of capital spending. The author also finds that high volatility of public investment is associated with a lower quality of governance. An increase in revenues is associated with a reduction in the volatility of capital spending, suggesting that proper macroeconomic management smoothes the investment cycle. Finally, the paper provides some tentative evidence of a positive relationship between institutional quality and the quality of infrastructure.Investment and Investment Climate,Debt Markets,Non Bank Financial Institutions,Public Sector Economics,Emerging Markets
