Electrochemical oxidation of oxalic acid and hydrazinium nitrate on platinum in nitric acid media
No full textSeveral studies in the literature have investigated the electrochemical effects of oxalic acid and hydrazine on various materials in neutral (pH buffered to 7), basic or weakly acidic media (pH 6). The present work proposes electrochemical techniques that allow for the study of the electrochemical behavior, on a Pt electrode, of oxalic acid and hydrazinium nitrate to better understand their oxidation mechanisms in a nitric acid medium at a pH below 1; in addition, some experiments were carried out to define an electrochemical method that would allow for the simultaneous detection of these species when present within process effluent in very acidic solutions. Some physical data regarding oxalic acid and hydrazinium nitrate were also determined: anodic oxidation of hydrazinium nitrate and oxalic acid were observed at 0.2 V and 0.7 V (vs. Ag/AgCl), respectively. The diffusion coefficients of hydrazinium nitrate and oxalic acid were found to be 5.2 × 10−6 and 2.9 × 10−7 cm2 s−1, respectively. BUILDING VOCABULARY USING POP SONGS
No full textThe objective of the study is to find out whether there is a significant difference between the vocabulary mastery of first semester students taughtusing English pop songs and that taught without using English pop songs as a medium. This study involved 64 students of first semesterof STKIP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung in the academic year of 2012/2013 as the objects of the study. The result of the study shows there is a significant difference in the student’s vocabulary mastery between the experimental group who are taughtusing English pop songs and that taught without using English pop songs as a medium.The mean of post test score of the experimental group is 16.93 while the mean score of the control group is 14.54. The result of t-test shows that t-observed value which is higher than the t-value of the table (2.572>1.99), with a probability value of 0.008 which is lower than the significance level (0.008 < 0.05). In conclusion, the use of English pop songscould improve the students’ vocabulary mastery.Keywords: Vocabulary, English Pop Songs</p

No full textDeze scriptie beschrijft een onderzoek naar de toepasbaarheid van verschillende pop-up fietspaden. Dit zijn fietspaden welke in zeer korte tijd kunnen worden aangelegd en in een latere fase definitief worden gerealiseerd of weer verdwijnen uit het straatbeeld. Aangezien pop-up fietspaden in de meeste gevallen op dezelfde rij loper liggen als auto’s voorheen gebruikte is een rijbaanscheiding van belang.Eerst is onderzocht welke type pop-up fietspaden bestaan en hoe deze onderverdeeld kunnen worden. Voor dit onderzoek is gebruik gemaakt van een enquête welke is verspreid in Duitsland, Frankrijk en Nederland om de gebruikerservaringen van pop-up fietspaden te bepalen.Uit dit onderzoek blijkt dat Barrières afgezien van kosten erg goed scoren. Een parkeerstrook als rijbaan scheiding is een goede optie mits voldoende ruimte aanwezig is en de weg geen stroomweg is.Lijn markering zijn qua kosten voordelig maar moeten desondanks zo min mogelijk gebruikt worden. Net als bij normale fietspaden is de ligging van invloed op de veiligheid van fietsers. In verschillende landen hebben fietsers verschillende voorkeuren voor de ligging van een fietspad. Ook de regelgevingis verschillend hierover tussen verschillende regio’s. Uit dit onderzoek blijkt dat rijbaanscheidingen inwisselbaar zijn per type wegindeling. Om een keuze voor een optimale rijbaanscheiding te maken kan gebruik gemaakt worden van een keuze diagram op basis van snelheid van auto’s en beschikbareruimte. Voor de wegindeling hebben alle types specifieke karakteristieken. Cerita klasik adalah cerita yang tak kenal batasan waktu. Cerita klasik merupakan salah satu aset budaya yang tak ternilai harganya yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat Bali dan bangsa Indonesia. Namun di zaman serba modern ini, kecenderungan masyarakat sudah mulai melupakan dan menganggap kuno cerita klasik. Pada dasarnya, cerita klasik Indonesia penuh dengan unsur yang mendidik. Berangkat dari permasalahan tersebut, penulis ingin memunculkan salah satu kisah cerita klasik yaitu kisah Ramayana ke dalam sebuah buku cerita dengan tampilan Pop-up yang ditujukan untuk anak-anak. Pop-up dipilih karena dapat memberikan efek kejutan dan sangat menarik minat anak-anak ketika buku dibuka dan dinikmati. Konsep dasar perancangan yang digunakan yaitu “Education dan Entertainment”. Education mengacu pada kisah yang terkandung dalam perancangan ini hendaknya dapat memberi pengajaran mengenai pendidikan humaniora. Humaniora yaitu ilmu pengetahuan yang dianggap bertujuan membuat manusia lebih manusiawi dengan budaya yang terdapat pada cerita Ramayana. Entertainment mengacu pada tampilan pop-up yang penuh kejutan dan menyenangkan yang dapat memberi imajinasi pada anak-anak. Media yang dibuat untuk memperkenalkan cerita klasik Ramayana dalam perancangan Tugas Akhir ini terdiri dari Buku Pop-Up sebagai media utama, Packaging, Paper bag, Poster, Flyer, Accessories mahkota, X-Banner, T-shirt, Stiker, serta Katalog sebagai media pendukung.
Kata Kunci : Ramayana, Pop-up, Manusiawi, Imajinasi.
Abstract
Classic story is that story does not know limits time. Classic story is the one of assets are priceless owned that have by people in Bali and nation Indonesia. Meanwhile in this modern era, human has been began to forget and to believe classic story is oldest. Generally, Indonesia classic story is full of education elements. From the problem, the author would like to bring up one of the classic story is the story of Ramayana into a story book with Pop-up display aimed to children. Chosen Pop-up because it can give the effect of surprise and very exciting interests’ children when their opened the book and it enjoyed. Basic design consepts that used are “Education” and “Entertainment”. Education means the stories contained in this sceme, it should be able to give instruction on humanities education. Humanities education are considered science aim make people more humane with culture contained in the Ramayana story. Entertainment means the pop up display is full of suprises and fu that can give imagination to children. Media were used to introduces Ramayan classic story in this thesis consists of pop-up book as first media, packaging, paper bag, poster, flyer, crown accessories, x-banner, t-shirt, stickers, and catalogs as a supporting media.
