STABILITAS KANDUNGAN AMILOSA BERAS BEBERAPA VARITAS PADI SAWAH DI SUMATERA BARAT
Amylose content of rice is one of the variables that determine the quality of rice. Although Solok considered a first-class rice-producing areas inWest Sumatra, but a stable varieties will produce amylose content is relatively similar across all planting sites, so it can be cultivated in various regions. The study was conducted at 3 locations lowland rice production centers inWest Sumaterathat is Solok, Bukittiggi and Pariaman. The research design used at each location is randomized block design with 3 replications. The treatment consisted of 5 varieties of rice that is Cisokan, Anak daro, Randah-kuniang, Kuriak kusuik and Saratuih hari. The results showed that the five varieties tested showed a stable amylose content.Key words: stability, amylose, rice, west sumater
EXPLORASI DAN MUTU BERAS GENOTIP PADI MERAH DI KABUPATEN PASAMAN BARAT SUMATERA BARAT
The purpose of this study was to determine the nutrient content based on the phenotype of red rice in West Sumatra West Pasaman. The study was conducted in the West Pasaman by doing a survey to determine and collect the red rice in the area. Limited access to isolated areas growing regions in the rice collection was also done by buying rice from the traditional market vendors West Pasaman. Analysis of the nutrient content in the form of protein and amylose conducted in the Laboratory of Chemistry Department of Chemistry, State University of Padang. The results showed that in the West Pasaman found 5 red paddy rice genotypes. Amylose content ranged from 27.16% to 40.13% Island Manggis until at Nabara. Protein content ranged from 5.93% to 8.72 on the genotype Nabara Cimarisik genotype. Based on these results it can be concluded that the Dolok Nabara (8.25%) and Cimarisik (8.72%) developed considering the potential for relatively higher protein content than rice genotypes grown in West Sumatra. Biology Teachers' Readiness in State High Schools in West Sumatra Facing Learning in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 on Aspects of Communication Skills
This research is motivated by the low knowledge of biology teachers about learning in the industrial revolution era 4.0 and do not yet understand the challenges. The teacher is not maximally applying communication skills when learning. The purpose of this research is to find out and describe the readiness of high school biology teachers in West Sumatra in facing learning in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 on aspects of communication skills. This type of research is a descriptive study with a population of high school biology teachers in West Sumatra. The research method uses mixed methods by combining quantitative and qualitative research methods. Quantitative data obtained by questionnaire and qualitative data obtained through the interview process. Sampling is done by using the Stratified Cluster Random Sampling technique. The results showed that high school biology teachers in West Sumatra belong to the very prepared category with an average value of 4.43 to all aspects of communication. The Mimic / Facial Expression aspects gave the biggest contribution to the readiness of biology teachers with a value of 4.69. Aspects of utilizing teaching media and technology. Pengaruh Frekuensi Formula Trichoderma asperellum Berbahan Dasar Ketan Merah dengan Penambahan Ecoenzyme terhadap Kandungan Klorofil
Peningkatan kadar klorofil dapat dipengaruhu oleh kemampuan Trichoderma asperellum dalam meningkatkan penyerapan nutrisi, khususnya nitrogen sebagai komponen penting dalam sintesis klorofil. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh frekuensi formula Trichoderma asperellum terhadap kadar klorofil. Penelitian dengan metode eksperimental dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), dengan penambahan ecoenzyme pada konsentrasi 0% dan 60% yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Hasil menunjukkan pada klorofil a nilai tertinggi 6.8260 mg/L dan terendah 5.7620 mg/L. Hal ini, Trichoderma asperellum tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Pada klorofil b tercatat nilai tertinggi 8.7280 mg/L dengan nilai paling rendah 6.6500 mg/L menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan. Sedangkan pada klorofil total mencatat nilai tertinggi 15.328 mg/L dan terendah 12.458 mg/L. menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh signifikan diantara perlakuan
Based Module Development PBL (Problem Based Learning) in the Matter Excretion Systems for Class XI MIPA SMAN 3 Kerinci
Student difficulties in understanding the material of the respiratory system and the excretory system for memorizing the material when the material is very close to everyday life, to the existence of modules that can guide students to discover concepts with issues close to the everyday life. Modules that are used in schools has not assist students in finding the concept directly to the material learned. The aim to be achieved from this development effort is to produce a module-basedProblem Based Learning on the material of the respiratory system and the excretory system for high school students of class XI. Research development Plomp is using a model consisting of three stages, namely a preliminary investigation, prototyping, and evaluation. Subject penilitian is a class XI student of SMAN 3 Kerinci. Validation is done by experts in biology education, education technology and Indonesian. Practicality module seen from the results of the questionnaire filling practicalities by students and teachers as well as conducting interviews with students. seen the effectiveness of student competence and the data were analyzed by descriptive. The results showed that the module-based Problem Based Learningobtain very valid category. Category practicalities of response is very practical teacher and student response practicalities category very practical. This module has also been effective in terms of student competence. In this case increase student competence more than the specified minimum attainment. Based on these results, we can conclude that Problem Based Learning modules based on the material excretion system for high school students of class XI can be declared valid, practical and effective.Keywords: Module, Problem Based Learning, Valid, Practical, Effectiv
Preliminary Analysis of Problems Botanical Phanerogamae Learning in the Departement of Biology Education IAIN Kerinci
Abstract - The purpose of this study was to find out the initial analysis of problems in the learning of phanerogamae botany in the biology education department of IAIN Kerinci. This research was conducted in March 2019. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The population in this study is the 2nd semester students of biology education at IAIN Kerinci who are registered academically in 2018/2019. The sample in this study used two sample groups namely class II A students as the experimental class and class II B students as the control class observed from the population members who took the technique using purposive sampling technique. The instrument used is a test. Data analysis was performed using the t test. The findings showed that there were significant differences between the competency of phanerogamae botanical students in the experimental class and the control class, the competence in the experimental class was 77,72 and in the control class was 53,00. So, it was concluded that the study of botany phanerogamae with the collaboration of lecture methods, demonstrations and exercises can improve student competence in the aspect of knowledge. Implementation of Biology Learning At SMPN 1 Ulakan Tapakis in the Covid-19 Outbreak of 2020/2021
This study aims to reveal the implementation of biology learning at SMPN 1 Ulakan Tapakis during the Covid-19 outbreak in the 2020/2021 academic year. This research is a descriptive research. The research data were obtained through observation, interviews and documentation study. Data analysis was performed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the Covid-19 outbreak had an impact on all aspects of life including education. Learning that is usually carried out in schools through face-to-face must be done online to break the chain of spreading Covid-19. The lesson plan prepared by the teacher has sufficient criteria. The implementation of the learning carried out is not in accordance with the lesson plans made by the teacher. The assessment of learning outcomes by the teacher has sufficient criteria
A Need Analysis of Developing Interactive Learning Multimedia on Protista and Fungi Materials for Grade X Senior High School
This study was aimed at revealing, analysing and explaining or describing the reality on the need in developing interactive learning multimedia on Protista and Fungi materials. This type of research was a descriptive research using a qualitative approach. Based on the results of the data analysis that has been done and the results of preliminary research it could be stated that students had difficulties in finding and observing protista objects, direct observation of microscopic and macroscopic fungi, understanding reproductive fungi both sexually and asexually. Then, there was no any interactive multimedia learning on protista and fungi materials.
Analysis of Scientific Literacy Capabilities of Senior High School Students in Sungai Penuh Based on Science Competences
This research aimed to analyze students scientific literacy skills of Grade X Senior High School in Sungai Penuh based on science competences. This research is a descriptive with a mixed method. The sample in this study were 86 students from three high schools with three categories: high, medium and, low categories taken by cluster random sampling technique. The instruments used were scientific literacy test questions and interview guideline sheets. The data analysis technique is done by describing the results of the student's test into the values and categories of scientific literacy achievements and analyzing the results of the interview. Based on the results of this research, it is known that the student scientific literacy skills of Grade X in Sungai Penuh based on science competency are classified as low with an average value of 22.66 to explain the phenomenon scientifically, 47.15 to evaluate data and designing scientific investigations, and 28.44 to interpret data and scientific evidence
