COVID-19 pandemic and housing demand mortgage: Partial adjustment model approach
One of the efforts to encourage the fulfillment of housing needs is the provision of housing both from the government and the private sector by considering the community's purchasing power. The background of this research is that the fulfillment of housing needs by both the government and the private sector has yet to be maximized while the demand for housing is relatively high. This research is still necessary because the demand for housing is still high. Increased housing demand will push house prices due to limited housing land. The problems faced focus on the relatively high demand for mortgages because even in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, people still make houses their top priority. This study aims to analyze the effect of people's income, loan interest rates, the amount of housing finance, and dummy before and during the COVID-19 pandemic on housing demand mortgage. The data analysis technique in this study used multiple regression Partial Adjustment Model (PAM). The results showed that the variables of income as proxy for GDP and loan interest rates significantly affected housing demand mortgage. In contrast, the amount of housing finance and the COVID-19 dummy had no significant impact. The research implication that researchers can provide to the government is to provide policy recommendations regarding the Housing Finance Liquidity Facility (FLPP) program, which is intended for low-income communities
Analisis Pengaruh Nilai Tukar, Jumlah Uang Beredar, dan Cadangan Devisa Terhadap Ekspor Migas di Indonesia
This study aims to investigate the impact of exchange rates, money supply, and foreign exchange reserves on oil and gas exports in Indonesia. The research adopts a quantitative approach, using time series data from 2005 to 2022. The method employed is the Error Correction Model with Eviews 12. The tests conducted include unit root tests, cointegration tests, the Error Correction Model involving long-term and short-term tests, and classical assumption tests. The results of the analysis reveal that, in the long term, the exchange rate does not significantly affect oil and gas exports in Indonesia, whereas both the money supply and foreign exchange reserves have a significant impact on oil and gas exports. In the short term, neither the exchange rate nor the money supply significantly influence oil and gas exports, while foreign exchange reserves have a significant impact on oil and gas exports in Indonesia
Analisis Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja pada Sektor Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) di Kabupaten Sleman
The aim of this research is to analyze how much influence business units, domestic investment, foreign investment and regional minimum wages have on labor absorption in the micro, small and medium enterprises sector from 2016 - 2021. The research method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method using time series data. The data collected in this research uses secondary data obtained from various sources. The research results show that the number of business units, domestic investment, foreign investment, and regional minimum wages have a significant and positive effect on labor absorption in the micro, small and medium enterprises sector in Sleman. Apart from that, based on the research results, it can be concluded that the role of micro, small and medium enterprises in labor absorption is very large, because it can be seen from the development of micro, small and medium enterprises which continues to experience a significant increase, which is proportional to labor absorption in the micro, small and medium enterprises sector
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Financial System Stabilization in Islamic Economics Perspective
The purpose of this study is to find a picture of a stable financial system from the perspective of the Islamic economy. This type of research is literature research with qualitative methods using normative, historical, and phenomenological approaches. The normative approach is used to explain the concepts of Islamic economics. The historical approach is used to explain the chronology of the use of the current financial system. The phenomenological approach explains contemporary events related to the research topic. The data is taken from a wide variety of literature, such as the Qur'an, al-Hadith, and many articles from national and international reputational journals related to this research topic. Researchers used more than 50 articles from Scopus quartile indexed journals 1 to 4 in the last five years. The collected data are analyzed by a deductive method, that is, the process of data analysis of the general opinion of Islamic teachings that have been agreed upon by the majority of people and then narrowed down to a specific idea of the stability of the financial system in Islam. The results of this study were found due to the instability of the current financial system because it uses the concept of usury (in Arabic, usury). In contrast, usury in Islamic economics is legally haram. Therefore, the way to stabilize the financial system from an Islamic economic perspective is to use gold and silver currency standards, abolish the practice of usury, and supervise the turnover of money in society by the hisbah. This research can add to the academic discourse of Islamic economics
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
