Optimalisasi Bandpass Filter untuk Variance Reduction dalam Penentuan Solusi Momen Tensor dan Mekanisme Fokus dengan Isola-Gui Sequence Gempa Minahasa Peninsula Tanggal 28 September 2018 Sampai 1 Oktober 2018
Sulawesi merupakan salah satu pulau di Indonesia dengan tingkat seismisitas yang tinggi karena terdapat banyak sesar-sesar aktif khususnya di wilayah Minahasa Peninsula. Pada tanggal 28 september 2018 terjadi gempa di Palu dan Donggala dengan 7.5 Global Centroid Moment Tensor. Gempa tersebut menyebabkan bencana geologis lain yaitu tsunami dan likuifaksi. Penelitian ini membahas tentang solusi momen tensor dan mekanisme fokus di wilayah Minahasa Peninsula pada tanggal 28 september 2018 sampai 1 oktober 2018 dengan menggunakan program ISOLA-GUI. Program ini digunakan untuk mengolah data seismik tiga komponen yang terekam oleh seismogram. Dengan program ISOLA dilakukan pengolahan data yang meliputi: crustal model, event info, memilih stasiun perekam gempa, persiapan data mentah mendefenisikan sumber seismik, melakukan perhiitungan fungsi Green dengan komputasi, melakukan inversi dan plot hasil. Pada inversi dilakukan pemilihan frekuensi bandpass filter untuk mendapatkan variance reduksi yang optimal. Setelah pengolahan, perhitungan dan interpretasi plot hasil maka diperoleh model patahan untuk setiap event gempa yang biasanya digambarkan dengan mekanisme fokus (focal mechanism). Dengan besar momen tensor mainshock gempa (28/09/2018 10:02.44) yaitu -1.068e+19, -3.630e+19, 4.698e+19, 2.460e+19, -2.655e+19, -2.744e+19. Source mechanism strike 205, dip 80, rake -35 dan skalar momen 6.231e+19.Sulawesi is one of the islands in Indonesia with a high level of seismicity because there are many special active faults in the Minahasa Peninsula region. On September 28, 2018 there was an earthquake in Palu and Donggala with Mw 7.5 Global Centroid Moment Tensor. The earthquake caused other geological disasters namely tsunami and liquefaction. This study discusses of moment tensor solution and focal mechanism on the Minahasa Peninsula on 28 September 2018 to 1 October 2018 using the ISOLA-GUI program. This program is used to process three-component seismic data recorded by seismograms. With the ISOLA program data processing is carried out which includes: scale models, event info, selecting earthquake recording stations, preparing raw data to define seismic sources, calculating Green functions with computation, inversion and plot results. In inversion a bandpass filter frequency is chosen to obtain the optimal variance reduction. After processing, calculating and interpreting the results plot, the fault model for each earthquake event can be understood using focal mechanism. With the main of moment tensor of the mainshock earthquake (28/09/2018 10: 02.44) which is -1.068e+19, -3.630e+19, 4.698e+19, 2.460e+19, -2.655e+19, -2.744e+19. Penentuan Filtering Frekuensi pada Processing Waveform Gempa dalam Menentukan Best Fit Kurva Waveform dengan Data Synthetic dan Solusi Momen Tensor Study Kasus Sequence Lombok pada Tanggal 28 Juli 2018-19 Agustus 2018
Research Determination of frequency, variance reduction and fault pattern can be done in the Lombok earthquake in 2018 with magnitude 5.9 MW to 6.9 MW using the ISOLA-GUI program. The principle of this program is to process three components of seismic waves recorded in seismograms. Data in the waveform are processed according to each earthquake event that occurs and the calculation of the Green function and inversion are used. In the inversion stage, 4 filters are used f1, f2, f3, f4 which are filled to obtain the appropriate variance reduction value. Plotting for results is done after the inversion stage and the variance reduction value is obtained which is close to precision 1. The next plot is the moment tensor value along with the fracture plane pattern symbolized by beachball. Processing is carried out at all earthquake events. After calculation, processing and interpretation, the value of the variance reduction and frequency obtained is Event 2018-07-28 22:47:38 obtained by the frequency of 0.022-0.028; 0.032-0.037, variance reduction 0.84. Event 2018-08-05 11:46:34 obtained the frequency of 0.027-0,032; 0.033-0,038, variance reduction 0.71. Event 2018-08-09 05:25:32 the frequency is 0.022-0.028; 0.032-0,037, Variance reduction 0.85. Event 2018-08-19 04:10:22 obtained a frequency of 0.022-0,026; 0.03-0,034 Variance reduction 0.8. Event 2018-08-19 14:56:26 obtained a frequency of 0.023-0,028; 0.032-0,037 Variance reduction 0.67.Penelitian Penentuan frekuensi, varian reduction dan pola bidang patahan dapat dilakukan pada gempa bumi Lombok pada tahun 2018 dengan magnitude 5.9 Mw sampai 6.9Mw menggunakan program ISOLA-GUI. Prinsip program ini mengolah tiga komponen gelombang seismik yang terekam dalam seismogram. Data berupa gelombang diolah sesuai masing-masing event gempa yang terjadi dan digunakan perhitungan fungsi Green serta inversi. Pada tahap inversi digunakan 4 filter f1, f2, f3, f4 yang diisi untuk memperoleh nilai varian reduction yang tepat. Plotting untuk hasil dilakukan setelah tahap inversi dan didapatkan nilai variance reduction yang bernilai mendekati presisi1. Plot selanjutnya berupa nilai momen tensor beserta pola bidang patahan yang disimbolkan dengan beachball. Pengolahan tersebut dilakukan pada seluruh event gempa. Setelah perhitungan, pengolahan, dan interpretasi, maka nilai varian reduction dan Frekuensi yang didapatkan yaitu Event 2018-07-28 22:47:38 diperoleh frekuensi 0.022-0.028; 0.032-0.037 , varian reduction 0.84. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
