An Analysis of Teacher’s Speech Acts in Teaching and Learning Process
This research focuses on classroom interaction during teaching and learning process that included investigation of types and functions of the speech acts produced by teacher. It was designed as a qualitative research. The subject of this research was an English teacher in SMAN 1 Kalirejo. The data were collected through recording. The data were analyzed through three cyclical steps: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results show that directives speech acts is mostly produced by the teacher than the other speech acts. This can be seen from the data that 33 utterances (21.2%) are representative speech acts, 6 utterances (3.8%) as expressive speech acts, 112 utterances (71.8%) as directives speech acts, and 5 utterances (3.2%) as commisive speech acts. The types and functions of directives speech acts proposed are need statement, bald imperative, embedded imperative, permission directive, and question directive
EFFECT OF USING FLIPPED CLASSROOM FOR TEACHING WRITING BASED ON STUDENTS' MOTIVATION: A QUASI-EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH
The flipped Classroom is an approach that has been often mentioned in recent years, namely a learning model in which pedagogical concepts are reversed that can reorganize students' needs to ensemble the times in the modern era. This research aimed to analyze: (1) Does Flipped Classroom have better effectiveness than the Conventional Learning Model for teaching writing?; (2) Do high-motivation students show better writing competencies than low-motivation students?; (3) Is there any relationship between the learning model and students' motivation for conducting writing subject? Institut Teknologi & Bisnis Bakti Nusantara is the research location in this quasi-experimental study. The researchers employed two classes in this study: control and experimental classes. This research has 48 students as the sample of study in which each class consists of 24 students in both classes. The writing test and motivation questionnaire were employed for collecting the data as the research instrument. Before utilizing the Tukey test to identify the significance of different pairs of group means, the researchers conducted a 2x2 Multifactor Analysis of Variance for data analysis. The research findings unraveled the mean scores of F1M1 70, F1M2 75, F2M1 68, and F2M2 69. This finding concludes that (1) Flipped Classroom offers better effectiveness than the conventional learning model to teach writing, (2) The are differences in writing scores by students who have low motivation and high motivation, (3) There are interactions of learning model and student's motivation for teaching writing. Therefore, this research is expected to provide implications for implementing Flipped Classrooms with LMS for teaching English in higher education institutions in Indonesia to encourage the improvement of the flipped-classroom learning model on a larger scale.
THE USE OF ENGLISH OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM: A NARRATIVE INQUIRY INTO STUDENTS' LANGUAGE EXPERIENCES IN REAL-LIFE CONTEXTS
This study looks at how English Education students at a State Islamic University in Indonesia use English outside their classes. The research uses stories from students to understand their experiences. The researcher talked to ten students in interviews to learn about their reasons for using English, the problems they face, and how they try to improve. The study finds three main ideas. First, students have different reasons for using English, such as personal interest or outside pressure. Second, they have problems like feeling nervous and not knowing enough words. Third, they try to solve these problems by watching English videos, using social media, and studying with friends. Many students said they want to get better at speaking English and that using digital platforms helps them feel more comfortable and less afraid. This study gives useful ideas about learning English outside the classroom. It shows that motivation is important and that using English in daily life helps students learn better. It also connects to learning theories like Self-Determination Theory and explains how technology helps students practice English. The study suggests that teachers should think about these outside experiences when teaching English. It also encourages more research on different student groups and ways to help students with language problems
ANALYZING THE TYPES OF SPEECH ACTS USED IN TEACHING-LEARNING INTERACTION
This qualitative study was aimed at analyzing the types of speech acts used in teaching-learning interaction. The participants of this study were one class of 10th grade students of SMAN 1 Bandar Lampung. In collecting the data, observation and audio-visual material were used. Then, descriptive analysis was used to analyze the speech acts used in teaching-learning interaction. The results of this study showed that the speech acts mostly used was directive speech acts. On the other hand, declarations speech acts was not used at all. In conclusion, since the role of the teacher is as an initiator and sustainer of the interaction in the classroom and regarding the opportunities for the full range of human interactions are limited which make the students get more difficulties in acquiring appropriate language use patterns, therefore, directives speech acts is appropriate, used in classroom interaction context to help the students to acquire the target language in the comprehension input and lead them to have positive behavior for learning.

Perancangan Mobile Learning dalam Mata Kuliah Bahasa Indonesia Berbasis Android
The beginning of 2020 is the year COVID-19 began to hit Indonesia. This is very influential for the world of education, where the Indonesian government makes the decision to do learning from home. This decision was made to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in school children and students, so that schools and colleges can learn from home, one of which is by using a mobile learning application. Mobile Learning is learning by using an android phone. This kind of learning is very effective in the current pandemic conditions. Because in addition to protecting students and students from COVID-19, both students and students still get subject matter or learning materials by staying at home. The system that built is a special learning system for Indonesian language courses, by presenting course material through applications that can be accessed by students without the constraints of a place to study
DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM TO DETERMINE SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS AT SMAN 1 BANGUNREJO USING SAW METHOD
SMAN 1 Bangunrejo is still a lot of parents who belong to underprivileged families economy, therefore the programs that support the smooth process learning as highly desirable for smooth scholarship students in completing education. Distribution of scholarships is done by the Department of Education Central Lampung greatly assist students who are not able to or achievement during their studies. To assist the determination in determining the eligible student then takes a decision support system. In the process of development of a decision support system to determine the scholarship recipients at SMAN 1 Bangunrejo use traditional methods Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). This method was chosen because it is able the best alternative from a number of alternatives, in this case the alternative meant that the right to receive scholarships based on criteria specified. Research done by finding the weight values for each attribute, then do ranking process that will determine the optimal alternative, that the best students achieving the eligible. Based on test results, a system built to help the working team selectors scholarship, can accelerate the scholarship selection process, can reduce errors in determining the scholarship recipients, so the scholarships granted in accordance with the target
AN ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS ANXIETY IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF RECIPROCAL TEACHING IN READING
Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmeneliti persepsi siswa dalam kecemasan dari pengajaranreciprocal. Penelitian ini adalah deskripsi kualitatif yang dilaksanakan di kelas XI MIA 1. Ada 11 siswa yang dipilih sebagai narasumber saat wawancara. Mereka dipilih berdasakan observasi, jenis kelamin, dan nilai ujian membaca. Data diambil melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan permasalahan bahasa dianggap menjadi masalah yang penting karena ini dapat mempengaruhi siswa mempunyai rasa kecemasan yang tinggi saat menggunakan empat strategi instruksional dari pengajaranreciprocal. Oleh karena itu, guru disarankan untuk lebih membimbing dan mengawasi siswa saat mengajar membaca menggunakan teknikreciprocal, karena guru mempunyai peranan penting dalam mengurangi dan mengontrol kecemasan siswa.This research was aimedto explore the students perceptions of anxiety in reciprocal teaching. This research was descriptive qualitative research.Theresearch participantsof this research wereXI MIA 1class.The subjects were 11 representatives of the students as the interviewees. It was chosen based on observation, genre, and the score of reading test. The data were taken from the observation and interview. The results showed language problems were the main aspects which influenced the students to have high anxiety while performing the four instructional strategies of reciprocal teaching.This suggests teachers should guide and control student in teaching reading process through reciprocal teaching because they play a prominent role in alleviating and controlling students anxiety.Keywords: anxiety,reciprocal teaching, self-efficacy, students perception
