Sammenhengen mellom ungdoms opplevelse av nærmiljøet og tilhørighet til stedet

Hensikten med denne masteroppgaven var å undersøke sammenhengen mellom ungdoms opplevelse av tilbud som idrettsanlegg, ungdomsklubber, kulturtilbud og offentlig transport i nærmiljøet, og deres utrykk for tilhørighet til nærmiljøet. Jeg konstruerte en modell med to latente variabler, for å teste om den kunne forklare sammenhengen mellom opplevelse av nærmiljø og uttrykk for tilhørighet til nærmiljøet. Videre inkluderte jeg de sosiodemografiske variablene kjønn, alder, sosioøkonomisk status (SØS) og etnisk bakgrunn for å undersøke om de hadde en innvirkning på denne sammenhengen.
Metode:
Datamaterialet er hentet fra spørreundersøkelsen Ung i Oslo 2015. Jeg analyserte modellen ved bruke av konfirmerende faktoranalyse. For å undersøke om demografiske variabler hadde betydning, analyserte jeg modellen for ulike grupper (measurement of invariance).
Resultat:
I denne studien fant jeg at ungdoms opplevelse av nærmiljøet er relatert til hvordan de uttrykker tilhørighet til nærmiljøet, men dette er likevel to ulike sider av tilhørighet til stedet. Modellen støttes også når datamaterialet deles opp i grupper. De demografiske variablene har likevel innvirkning på noen av indikatorene. Tilbudet av ungdomsklubber og lignede møtesteder oppleves bedre av de yngste, av gutter, de med lav sosioøkonomisk status og av ungdom med innvandrerbakgrunn.
Konklusjon:
Denne studien viser at det er en sammenheng mellom ungdoms opplevelser av muligheter i eget nærmiljø og deres tilhørighet til stedet. De demografiske faktorene alder, kjønn, SØS og etnisitet hadde noe innvirkning på denne sammenhengen. Gutter opplevde mulighetene for steder å møte andre i fritiden som bedre sammenlignet med jenter. Det samme fant jeg blant yngre deltakere sammenlignet med eldre, gruppen med lavt SØS nivå sammenlignet med medium og høyt SØS nivå og for gruppen med innvandrerbakgrunn sammenlignet med gruppen uten innvandrerbakgrunn.Aim:
The aim of this study was to investigate adolescents’ perceptions of the service for sports facilities, youth clubs, culture facilities and public transport in their local area in relation to their expression of attachment to the local area. I constructed a two-factor model to test if this could explain the relationship between perceptions of and the attachment to the local area. Further, I included the socio-demographic variables gender, age, SES and ethnicity in the model to test if they had an influence on this relationship.
Method:
Data included in this study was from the “Young in Oslo 2015” survey. The model was analyzed as a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and the socio-demographic variables contribution to the model was analyzed with a CFA measurement of invariance.
Results:
The results showed that the data supported the theoretical model saying that there is a relationship between adolescents’ perceptions of their local area and their expression of attachment to the same area, but this is two different dimension of place attachment. Further, the model was supported across different socio-demographic groups, but the socio-demographic variables had some influence on the model. The perceptions of meeting places were rated higher among boys, younger participants, adolescents with low SES level and of adolescents with an immigrant background.
Conclusion:
According to this study, there is a relationship between adolescent perception of their local area and their attachment to the same area. Socio-demographic variables have some influence on this relationship. The perceptions of places to meet others in the local area were viewed as better by boys compared to girls, of younger participants, adolescents with low SES level and of adolescents with an immigrant background.submittedVersionM-FO
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
