Through science learning, learning about objects and natural phenomena cannot be separated from critical and creative thinking skills. The purpose of this mini research is to find out the ability of junior high school students in science learning on critical thinking and creative thinking skills. The research method is a mini quantitative research on questionnaires distributed to 20 science teachers and 120 junior high school students. The results of the research show that only 40% answered that they already believe they have critical thinking skills. Meanwhile, less than 50% of teachers have developed aspects of critical and creative thinking

No full textThese two volumes constitute the second part (nun-taw) of the Syriac-Arabic dictionary of the 10th cent. physician Isho bar Ali (the first half of the dictionary had been published in 1874 by G. Hoffmann). Each Syriac word is defined in Arabic, often with more than one Arabic equivalent; in addition, the author deals not just with individual Syriac words, but in some cases with phrases. Gottheil used 21 manuscripts (from Oxford, London, Paris, Berlin, Leiden, and Rome) for this edition, and he has supplied a thorough critical apparatus; the manuscripts are described in the introduction. While some manuscripts give the Arabic glosses in Syriac characters (i.e. Garshuni), Gottheil has presented them here in Arabic script. These two volumes will be of great interest to Syriac lexicographers and those who study interactions between Syriac and Arabic.Contains an English introduction by Richard J.H. Gotthei

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) Untuk menganalisis penyusunan perencanaan strategis dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SD Negeri 171 dan SD Negeri 46 Pekanbaru; 2) Untuk menganalisis strategi implementasi perencanaan strategis dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 171 dan 46 Pekanbaru; 3) Untuk menganalisis evaluasi implementasi perencanaan strategis terhadap mutu pendidikan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 171 dan 46 Pekanbaru.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus dengan objek penelitian dua sekolah/ multi situs dengan pengumpulan data melalui: wawancara terstruktur, observasi dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis yang digunakan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kemudian pengecekan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, Penyusunan perencanaan startegis di kedua sekolah melalui dua tahapan yaitu: a) melakukan analisis lingkungan internal dan eksternal dengan menggunakan analisis SWOT; b) perumusan teknik oleh tim menyesuaikan keadaan kedua sekolah dengan mempertimbangkan masukan dari stakeholders. Kedua, Teknik implementasi perencanaan strategis dilakukan dengan dua cara yakni: a) melibatkan berbagai stakeholders dan memberikan wewenang kepada tim program renstra sesuai tugas dan bidangnya; b) memaksimalkan anggaran untuk biaya implementasi program renstra. Ketiga, a) kedua sekolah telah melakukan evaluasi internal dan eksternal dengan cara mengevaluasi setiap program Renstra, proses dan hasil belajar; b) kedua sekolah juga mengalami peningkatan mutu pendidikan setelah melakukan Perencanaan Strategis dengan berbagai indikator.
