Trabalho e instrumentalidade no campo profissional do Serviço Social
No full textEste artigo discute o trabalho e a instrumentalidade profissional no serviço social no contexto da reestruturação produtiva e das novas formas de precarização e intensificação do trabalho. Sua construção pautou-se em uma pesquisa realizada com assistentes sociais, com aportes em autores do campo da teoria social de Marx – que têm na historicidade, na totalidade e na contradição as categorias centrais para o desvendamento do real. Partindo do pressuposto de que o serviço social só pode ser entendido em sua densidade histórica no âmbito da sociabilidade capitalista, discute-se a profissão no processo de produção e reprodução das relações sociais, particularizando sua inserção na divisão sociotécnica do trabalho, reconhecendo o assistente social como um trabalhador assalariado.
Reflexões sobre a política habitacional: estado e conflitos de classes
No full textAbstract This article aims to highlight the features present in housing policy in the context of PT governments and their influence on the workers lives as well as the current returns in this sector under the Bolsonaro government, having as centrality for this analysis the global crisis of capital and its contemporary peculiarities, the role of the State in bourgeois society and class conflicts. To this end, it was consider the Brazilian context of ultraliberal and conservative offensive expressed in the government reactionary counter-reforms, policies and actions. From methodological point of view was used the bibliographical research to clarify a debated issue. As a relevant result, the importance of the socio-political organization of workers was found, which, through social movements and their daily struggles, impress forces for access to their rights, notably that of housing. In this direction, it was essential to discuss the right to the city in the contradictory relations of capitalist society and the limits of democracy.Resumo O presente artigo tem como objetivo evidenciar os traços presentes na política habitacional no contexto dos governos petistas e seus influxos na vida dos trabalhadores, assim como as regressões atuais nesse setor no governo Bolsonaro, tendo como centralidade para essa análise a crise mundial do capital e suas particularidades contemporâneas, o papel do Estado na sociedade burguesa e os conflitos de classes. Para tal, considerou-se o contexto brasileiro de ofensiva ultraliberal e conservadora expresso nas contrarreformas das políticas e das ações governamentais reacionárias. Do ponto de vista metodológico, foi usada a pesquisa bibliográfica para elucidar a questão debatida. Como resultado relevante, constatou-se a importância da organização sociopolítica dos trabalhadores que, por meio dos movimentos sociais e de suas lutas cotidianas, imprimem forças para o acesso aos seus direitos, notadamente o da moradia. Nessa direção, foi essencial discutir o direito à cidade nas relações contraditórias da sociedade capitalista e os limites da democracia
UM OLHAR CRÍTICO SOBRE A TEMÁTICA DA ALIENAÇÃO PARENTAL: RELAÇÕES FAMILIARES, GÊNERO E PROTEÇÃO SOCIAL
Full text linkThis article weaves problematizations around the debate on parental alienation, bringing reflections from the Federal Councils of Social Service and Psychology on the subject, in addition to pointing out authors against and in favor of the Parental Alienation law in Brazil. This is a complex subject that needs to be revisited, since, in the name of protecting children and adolescents, this law can be used to interrupt investigations into real violence involving children of separated parents, under the pretext of the occurrence of the phenomenon, in addition to being used with a sexist focus when crossed by gender repercussions. In this context, it must be considered that family relationships cannot be pathologized or dissociated in the broader social dynamics in which they are inserted. For the construction of this article, we focus on bibliographic and documentary studies that deal with the theme with a qualitative approach.Este artigo tece problematizações em torno do debate da alienação parental, trazendo reflexões dos Conselhos Federais de Serviço Social e de Psicologia acerca do tema, além de apontamos de autores contrários e favoráveis à lei de Alienação Parental no Brasil. Trata-se de um assunto complexo que exige ser revisitado, posto que, em nome da proteção de crianças e adolescentes essa lei pode ser utilizada para interromper investigações sobre violências reais envolvendo filhos de pais separados, sob o pretexto da ocorrência do fenômeno, além de ser utilizada com enfoque machista quando atravessada por repercussões de gênero. Nesse contexto, há que se considerar que as relações familiares não podem ser patologizadas e nem dissociadas na dinâmica social mais ampla em que se inserem. Para a construção desse artigo debruçamo-nos sobre estudos bibliográficos e documentais que versam sobre o tema com abordagem qualitativa
Retrato social das famílias de crianças e adolescentes em medida de acolhimento institucional (Social portrait of the families of children and adolescents in the process of institutional kind)
No full textThis article analyzes the negative reflections of public policies noncompliance in the daily lives of families in social vulnerability situation evidencing how much such omission reflects in family relations and violatesthe social rights of its members, in particular the right of the child and the adolescent regarding family and community life. In this sense it offers problematizations about the institutional reception measure foreseen in the Statute of the Child and the Adolescent. It was identified through this study that a great part of the reception measures was potentialized by the lack of material resources of the families and consequently the offering of policies to supply them, evidencing the contradictions that permeate the legal landmarks of Child-juvenile field and the noncompliance of these designations. For the accomplishment of this article, the documentary research articulated to the bibliographic research was used, in view of the thematic approach deepening, offering significant contributions about the investigated object.A discussão em tela demonstra a intrínseca relação entre o acolhimento institucional de crianças e adolescentes e as condições de vida de suas famílias, apresentando, por meio de dados teóricos e institucionais, que a desigualdade social e as lacunas no âmbito da proteção são as principais razões para a aplicação dessa medida. Nesses termos, foram analisados os reflexos negativos do descumprimento das políticas públicas no cotidiano de vida de famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade, a fim de evidenciar o quanto tal omissão reflete nas suas relações familiares e viola os direitos sociais de seus membros, em especial o direito da criança e do adolescente quanto ao convívio familiar e comunitário. Para a realização deste artigo, utilizou-se a pesquisa documental com base nos registros das famílias atendidas entre os anos de 2013 a 2016 em uma Instituição situada no Vale do Paraíba Paulista que presta serviço de acolhimento conforme previsto no Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
Full text linkWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
