Trends of Europeanization in social welfare politics. IHS Political Science Series 82, July 2002
Fritz W. Scharpf (2000 and 2002) defines the term Europeanization as the progressive shift of governmental tasks to the European level. According to this understanding he identifies four modes of Europeanization. Further, he recognizes the establishment of minimum standards and the open method of co-ordination as specific modes of Europeanization. This paper first relates the welfare political goals and problems of both named methods of Europeanization in social welfare politics, then describes the political processes which accompany them, and subsequently tests whether Scharpf’s analysis can be affirmed
This article discusses the Katz-Bernstein Integrative Therapy Concept of „Safe Place“ and expands it further by application in the treatment of in-patients with eating disorders. The author, a Movement Therapist at the Bad Neuenahr Clinic for Children andAdolescent Psychiatry, describes the Diagnosis, aetiology and Psychotherapy of Anorexia and Bulimia. Using three case Studies, specific aspects of „Safe Place“ as „Potential Space“ (Winnicott), attachment theory and the inherent possibilities of Marking Off are also illustrated in detail.https://www.fpi-publikation.de/polyloge/18-2008-hensler-ute-elisabeth-der-eigene-ort-safe-place-arbeit-mit-essgestoerten-jugendlichen/peerReviewedpublishedVersio

A speech understanding and dialog system with a homogeneous linguistic knowledge base
Mast M, Kummert F, Ehrlich U, et al. A speech understanding and dialog system with a homogeneous linguistic knowledge base. IEEE transactions on pattern analysis and machine intelligence. 1994;16(2):179-194.This article presents the speech understanding and dialog system EVAR. All levels of linguistic knowledge are used both to control the analysis process and for the interpretation of an utterance. All kinds of knowledge are integrated in a homogeneous knowledge base. The control algorithm used for the analysis is defined within the representation scheme and does not depend on the application. One of the aims of EVAR is to develop a system structure where linguistic and non-linguistic expectations could be used not only for the interpretation but also as predictions for the recognition process
Cutting'aesthetic teeth' : Flannery O'Connor's habit of art
Assessment of Microplastic and Contaminant Emissions from Artificial Turf Sports Pitches
Due to their advantages over natural gras, artificial turf sports pitches are well established in popular sports and their number is increasing every year. This raises questions about potential pollutant emissions and possible risks to the environment due to its transfer to soil and groundwater.
The main sources of emissions are the rubber infill granules and the abrasion of grass fibers. While estimates on the transfer of pollutants to the soil are already available, there is still insufficient data on the discharge of microplastics from artificial turf systems and thus on the assessment of its relevance for the soil.
To close this gap, the pollutant emissions of three artificial turf scenarios - past (fossil-based, rubber infill), present (most frequently installed in Germany, rubber infill) and future (turf with recycled grass fibers, no rubber infill) - were compared in different ageing states (unaged, accelerated, and real time aged). Accelerated ageing consisting of UV weathering and mechanical stress was applied to simulate the outdoor weathering of turf systems during their service life span of approx. 15 years. Emissions of microplastics and environmentally relevant pollutants were sampled simultaneously using newly developed, innovative lysimeters. The microplastics contents were determined using Thermal Extraction-Desorption Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (TED-GC/MS). In addition, the concentrations of PAH and heavy metals were determined
PERBEDAAN INFORMASI CITRA ANATOMI MRI GENU PADA APLIKASI SHORT TE (STE) DAN ULTRASHORT TE (UTE) (STUDI KOMPARASI CITRA MRI GENU PEMBOBOTAN T1WI TURBO SPIN ECHO (TSE)).
ABSTRACTBackgroud: Ultrashort time echo (UTE) is a pulse sequence that aims to detect signals from tissues with short T2 values using TE values smaller than conventional TE on T1WI, whereas the TE in UTE ranges from 0,07 ms to 10 ms. This study aimed to determine the differences of anatomical information by using T1WI TSE STE and T1WI TSE UTE on knee MRI examination, so later on this research it will be known which image weighting produce the most optimal image information, therefore the author wanted to study it further and compile it in scientific papers titled " The Anatomical Information Differences Between The Application Of Short TE (STE) And Ultrashot TE (UTE) On Knee MRI (A Comparative Study On Knee MRI Images With T1WI Turbo Spin Echo (TSE)).Methods: This study is quantitative study with experimental approach. It was conducted at Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Badung (Badung General Hospital), Bali. The data are T1WI TSE images of knee MRI in sagittal slices from 30 patients each from the application of Short TE (STE) and Ultrashort TE (UTE). The data assessment was done by two respondents and the analysis was done by Wilcoxon sign rank test. Results: The result showed that there was a difference on anatomical information of knee MRI in sagital slices between the application of T1WI TSE STE and T1WI TSE UTE with significance value (p value
