    No full text
The project chosen by the author is a terminal facility which is located at Pinang Baris Terminal. The Pinang Baris Terminal serves public transport vehicles with a route west to the Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD) Region. The problems found were unified vehicle circulation, less strategic departure and arrival areas, and a lack of a number of standard facilities not found at the Pinang Baris Bus Terminal, such as the absence of a health post, bus maintenance and washing areas and the absence of barriers between vehicle traffic and passengers. Other facilities required by the regulations are available, although not all of them function properly, many of the facilities are damaged or unused, such as waiting rooms which are rarely used by passengers while waiting for the bus. On this project which is the scope of the design consists of designing the terminal in accordance with the regulations, laws and provisions of the Government, redesigning the Pinang Baris Terminal according to the predetermined land area, and expanding the terminal. In designing this project, the authors apply and follow the laws and regulations regarding terminals in design, so that the Pinang Baris Integrated Terminal can become a terminal that complies with terminal standards. With this application to the project, it is hoped that the author will be able to produce design solutions that can provide comfort for users and make the Pinang Baris Integrated Terminal a standard-compliant terminal108 HalamanSkripsi Sarjan

Results of identification and field research has been on the analysis shows a maximum level of parking characteristics in Pinang Baris Terminal and it is known that there are three issues that must be resolved. First, the buildup of bus parking AKDP manifold small and MPU bus that we can see on the pictures and the documentation of the calculation in the Parking Index. Secondly, the vehicle bus parking AKDP which do not in place and this can be seen in the image documentation. Third, when the AKAP bus will maneuver to get into the parking lot AKAP bus, it takes quite a long time and could hinder other transport to pass. In this thesis, the author has provided solutions to three problems are found, because it must be found a solution that does not affect the operational performance in the future Pinang Baris Terminal

Understanding Deformation Behavior of AM50 and AZ31 Magnesium Extrusions with Various Heat Treatments in Comparison with AA6063 and AA6082 Aluminum Extrusions

    No full text
The effect of the cooling methods after extrusion and subsequent heat treatment on mechanical properties of AM50 and AZ31 were studied. For each alloy, the influence of orientation of the specimen with respect to the extrusion direction was also investigated in comparison with 6063 and 6082 aluminum extrusions. The results obtained by hardness tests and Charpy impact tests demonstrate that heat treatments have no significant effect on hardness and fracture energy values of AZ31 and AM50 alloys. Tensile test results also generally support this statement except for that supersaturated solid solution (solution heat treatment followed by quenching in water) AZ31 plate shows a significant loss in yield strength, but increase in elongation. However, the fracture energy obtained by Charpy impact test and its tensile strength is similar to those under the different heat treatment conditions. AZ31 and AM50 extrusions exhibit highly anisotropic behavior, especially in terms of elongation values. AA6063 and AA6082 aluminum extrusions display low anisotropy and provide high fracture energy values corresponding to their elongation values. However, AM50 and AZ31 alloys provide low fracture energy values regardless of their elongation values

Value Chains and WTO Disputes: Compliance at the dispute settlement mechanism

    No full text
As economic populism and protectionism increasingly threatens the global trade order, this book examines the behavior of World Trade Organization (WTO) members at the judicial arm of the WTO—the dispute settlement mechanism (DSM). The author explores why and when governments cooperate at the WTO and comply with the ruling of its panels, focusing on how the growth of global value chains through the internationalization of trade and production has increased the importance of both trade liberalization and supra-national governance and policy-making. Finding that domestic organized interests—i.e. firms and sectors—mobilize and lobby national governments to change their domestic policies to better harmonize with their international trade commitments, the author outlines how the time it takes to comply with adverse WTO rulings is shorter when the potential domestic costs of non-compliance outweigh protectionist interests. The author’s innovative research design highlights the conditions under which the WTO can preserve the rules of international trade and support a more open, global economy

The poverty rate currently experienced a decrease although not significant through a variety of programs designed in such a way. The program not only can be given or actuated by the government, but also by the community itself through non-governmental organizations (NGO) .One of the proper way to reduce the poverty rate is not through the provision of assistance only to meet the needs, but through the community capacity development .The notion of alternative development program in accordance with community in Indonesia is credit union which have been introduced in Indonesia since the year 1958 . This research using a descriptive qualitative studies, The role of the Foundation's Center for Study and Child’s Protection (PKPA) in enhancing Selfreliance Community Through Credit Union located in Pinang Baris Subdistrict Medan Sunggal. Data on the research done by committing to interviews and observation; 5 informant consisting of four informant of CU Sumber Rejeki’s Member and 1 informant was PKPA’s staf. Based on the results of the data analysis, the authors concluded that PKPA role in promoting community self-reliance through CU Rejeki Pinang Baris very much up and running well, particularly through economic assistance, savings and loans providers an easy and training activities that have been planned. This is evident from the answers of the informants posed by the author.115 HalamanSkripsi Sarjan

Sperm function tests in clinical practice [Klinik uygulamadaki sperm fonksiyon testleri]

Conventional semen analysis solely is not completely adequate to predict pregnancy outcomes. Therefore, advanced sperm function tests have been developed and introduced to clinical practice. These tests use different methods and techniques to evaluate different stages of fertilization steps. In this review, we reported some commonly used sperm function tests: sperm penetration assay, sperm-zona pellucida binding test (hemizona assay), acrosomal reaction test, hyaluronan binding test, hypo-osmotic swelling test, magnetic-activated cell sorting and zeta sperm selection. We discussed the literature concerning these tests, the utilization techniques and also purpose and mechanism of each test. We emphasized the importance of sperm function tests in predicting in vitro fertilization and pregnancy outcomes and in the management of infertile couples and also the limitations of these tests. Along with improvements in molecular biology techniques, we believe that more applicative and beneficial tests will be developed in the near future. © 2017 by Turkish Association of Urology

Unified and Multilingual Author Profiling for Detecting Haters

[EN] This paper presents a unified user profiling framework to identify hate speech spreaders by processing their tweets regardless of the language. The framework encodes the tweets with sentence transformers and applies an attention mechanism to select important tweets for learning user profiles. Furthermore, the attention layer helps to explain why a user is a hate speech spreader by producing attention weights at both token and post level. Our proposed model outperformed the state-of-the-art multilingual transformer models.Schlicht, IB.; Magnossao De Paula, AF. (2021). Unified and Multilingual Author Profiling for Detecting Haters. Do sperm parameters and infertility affect sexuality of couples?

    No full text
We aimed to analyse the relationship between sperm parameters and International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) score, the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) score, the testosterone (T) level in infertile men and between FSFI score and partners' fertility. Patients were divided into three groups; (group 1: azoospermia [n=57], group 2: sperm count 15million [n=81]). Patients and their partners filled the IIEF and FSFI forms. The normality of the tests was analysed with Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk tests. Spearman's rho test, a nonparametric test, was used to correlate the data. A value of p<.05 was considered statistically significant. There was a positive correlation between the sperm count, other sperm parameters, morphology and motility and IIEF score, FSFI score and T (p=.037, .028 and .041 respectively). We found a positive correlation between IIEF score and FSFI score (p=.182). Infertile partners' FSFI score was lower than fertile partners' scores (p=.023). Male infertility causes severe sexual dysfunction in couples, and female sexual dysfunction increases in parallel to that of men. Male sexual function also tends to decrease with low sperm count. While the clinician evaluates infertile couples, psychological and sexual functions should also be evaluated and patients should not be deprived of appropriate treatment

Development and Comparison of Innovative Lightweight Design Concepts for Local FRP Reinforcements of Automotive Parts by CAE

    No full text
Fiber reinforced plastics (FRPs) offer great potential for weight critical applications. Their specific properties make them attractive substitutes for metals which are currently the most commonly used material in the automotive industry. Despite their advantages, their use in primary structures inside a car is still limited due to a number of factors, of which cost is the most important one. For this project, the use of FRPs as local reinforcements in semi-structural applications is investigated. The main content of the project will consist in analysing 3 different FRP design concepts with the use of Finite Element Modelling (FEM). The main objective is then to determine which design concept is best suited for the reinforcement based on a number of criteria which are defined inside the project. The main findings will consist on having one of the design concepts meeting the requirements for the reinforcement application or to prove that no design concept can be used. The integration of FRPs inside a car offer great benefits in terms of being environmentally friendly in a world where car pollution is a major problem in some countries. At the moment, the application of FRPs is only limited to small non-critical areas but once that barrier is crossed, a more extensive use in cars can be investigated.<br/
