UNIDADES DE PAISAGEM: UM ESTUDO DE CASO NO MUNICÍPIO SÃO JOÃO DO POLÊSINE-RS
No full textA paisagem é um conceito multidimensional utilizado tanto em estudos científicos quanto na prática cotidiana para descrever formas espaciais perceptíveis pelos observadores. O conceito engloba qualidades associadas a interpretações estéticas e percepções subjetivas, resultantes da interação entre elementos naturais e culturais. No estudo das paisagens é essencial considerar tanto as características naturais quanto as modificações de origem antrópicas. O município de São João do Polêsine (SJP), localizado na Quarta Colônia do Rio Grande do Sul, ilustra a complexidade na definição de Unidades de Paisagem (UP) em regiões que combinam tais elementos. O município possui área territorial de 79 km², com densidade demográfica de 33,82 hab./km² e população de 2.649 pessoas, segundo o Censo de 2022. A história e cultura da região é marcada pela colonização italiana que teve um papel importante na formação da paisagem. Outro fator que contribui para essa formação é o Geoparque Quarta Colônia criado para proporcionar novas alternativas para a economia regional de forma sustentável. O objetivo deste estudo foi definir as (UP) no município de SJP, visa contribuir para a gestão territorial. A delimitação dessas unidades, reconhecida pela complexidade inerente à interação entre os atributos naturais e antrópicos, é fundamental para identificar a dinâmica da paisagem e as fragilidades ambientais de cada área. Dessa forma, as UP podem ser utilizadas como uma ferramenta para promover a equidade na distribuição territorial, visa a melhoria da qualidade de vida da sociedade. Para isso utilizou-se dados de elevação do terreno, litologia e LULC (Land Use and Land Cover) obtidos por satélites com o auxílio de softwares de geoprocessamento como Google Earth Engine (GEE) e QGIS. O processo metodológico incluiu três etapas: Mapa das UP Pré-campo; Prática de campo; Mapa das UP pós-campo de SJP. A primeira etapa englobou a delimitação da área de estudo e a obtenção dos dados de elevação digital da SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission), download do shapefile de litologia no site do Serviço Geológico do Brasil (SGB) e do LULC do Projeto MapBiomas. Assim, cada fator foi mapeado para posterior análise e produção do Mapa base Pré-Campo. A segunda etapa consistiu em uma prática de campo, em que foi aplicado o Protocolo de Campo para Avaliação de Unidades de Paisagem (PCA-UP) desenvolvido pelo Observatório das Paisagens Antropocênicas (OBSERPA) da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM), com a finalidade de verificar a coerência dos limites de cada UP pré-definidos na etapa anterior. Na etapa final elaborou-se o Mapa das UP de SJP a partir da combinação de informações obtidas nas etapas anteriores. Além disso, analisou-se os parâmetros mais relevantes do PCA-UP na área de estudos. Com base na análise do conjunto de mapas dos fatores e nos dados coletados em campo, foram identificadas e delimitadas duas unidades principais de paisagem. A Unidade A está relacionada ao rebordo do planalto e à região de vale, sendo segmentada em sete subunidades, enquanto a Unidade B foi delimitada em quatro subunidades e está associada a áreas planas, com maior presença de agricultura e urbanização. A caráter de análise comparativa com relação ao Valor Geoecólogico no PCA-UP, a subunidade A4 (rebordo do planalto) apresenta um valor extremamente alto. Quanto ao Valor Turístico, as subunidades A3 (Distrito Vale Venêto), A4 e B8 (Município SJP) apresentaram valores alto a extremamente alto. Apesar das áreas urbanas possuírem baixo valor geoecológico, no quesito turístico apresentam alto valor devido ao aspecto cultural e religioso. O mapeamento das unidades de paisagem em São João do Polêsine pode contribuir para o desenvolvimento sustentável da região, oferece uma base de referência para a gestão territorial. Para garantir uma análise mais aprofundada e promover a qualidade ambiental e humana é necessário desenvolver estratégias específicas para cada UP. No entanto, devido ao escopo definido neste estudo algumas características não foram diagnosticadas, destaca-se a necessidade de prosseguir com pesquisas mais detalhadas em cada subunidade de forma a inserir o fator cultural religioso
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
