The educational values of the book of “Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi and Perang Salib III” by Alwi Alatas
One branch of Islamic education is history lesson. Through these lesson the students are expected to take the lessons of past stories especially related to Islam. However, today the students who like history lesson are very few because of boring, monotonous, and uninteresting. Besides that, today the Islamic world is experiencing a similar event with the time of Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi.
The book of “Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi dan Perang Salib III” by Alwi Alatas is a historical book. The book content is about the educational values which could be emulated today. The book of “Salahuddin Al-Ayubi dan Perang Salib III” by Alwi Alatas as representatives story of the past to be used as research under the title The Educational Values of the Book of “Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi dan Perang Salib III” by Alwi Alatas. The goal of this research is to know (1) the educational values contained in the book of “Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi dan Perang Salib III”, (2) the writing method which is used by Alwi Alatas in the book of “Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi dan Perang Salib III”, (3) The way of author to convey the truth of the story in the book of “Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi dan Perang Salib III” to the reader.
This research is a document research. The data analysis in this research is content analysis with historical approach. The data validity used (1) the perseverance of observer, (2) marking, (3) noting, (4) triangulation.
The research results show that educational values contained in the book of “Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi dan Perang Salib III” by Alwi Alatas are moral value, awareness value, and religion value. Religion value can also be called with Divine (Ilahiah) value which is divided into: pious (imaniah) value, ubudiah value, muamalah value. In muamalah value there is multicultural value which are divided into: ummah value, rahmah (mercy) value, and musawah value. In composing the book of “Shalahuddin Al-Ayyubi dan Perang Salib III”, Alwi Alatas using content analysis with historical approach. To convey the truth of the story in the book the author has fulfilled the general terms of the exposure of historical story (1) the author has the ability to express with good language, (2) the historical story unity, (3) presenting the evidence and make general lines which will be followed clearly by the reader thinking, (4) the whole exposure of history, should be argumentative
Faith, Culture, and the River: Socio-Religious Dimensions of Waste Disposal Practices in Indonesia
Environmental degradation caused by poor waste management has become an urgent global issue, particularly in rapidly urbanizing cities like Makassar, Indonesia, where rivers have long been treated as natural dumping sites. This research aims to analyze how socio-cultural practices and Islamic religious values shape community behavior in waste disposal along Makassar’s riverbanks. Using a qualitative approach, the research employed in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation to capture the perspectives of residents, community leaders, and religious figures. Data were analyzed through thematic interpretation and triangulated to ensure validity and depth. The findings reveal that waste management behavior is strongly influenced by generational habits and weak social norms, while religious teachings emphasizing cleanliness as part of faith are not consistently translated into environmental action. The study further shows that collaboration between local government and religious institutions can strengthen environmental awareness and transform these values into concrete practices. The implication of this research is that integrating religious ethics with community-based environmental programs can create sustainable behavioral change and enrich sociological discourse on faith-based environmental movements.
Degradasi lingkungan akibat pengelolaan sampah yang buruk telah menjadi isu global yang mendesak, terutama di kota-kota yang berkembang pesat seperti Makassar, Indonesia, dimana sungai sejak lama diperlakukan sebagai tempat pembuangan alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana praktik sosial-budaya dan nilai-nilai keagamaan Islam membentuk perilaku masyarakat dalam isu pembuangan sampah di sepanjang bantaran sungai Makassar. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi untuk menggali perspektif warga, tokoh masyarakat, dan pemimpin agama. Data dianalisis secara tematik dan divalidasi melalui triangulasi untuk memastikan kedalaman dan keabsahannya. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku pengelolaan sampah sangat dipengaruhi oleh kebiasaan turun-temurun dan lemahnya norma sosial, sementara ajaran agama tentang kebersihan sebagai bagian dari iman belum sepenuhnya diterapkan dalam tindakan lingkungan. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa sinergi antara pemerintah daerah dan institusi keagamaan dapat memperkuat kesadaran lingkungan dan mentransformasikan nilai-nilai tersebut ke dalam praktik nyata. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah bahwa integrasi etika keagamaan dengan program lingkungan berbasis komunitas dapat menciptakan perubahan perilaku yang berkelanjutan serta memperkaya kajian sosiologis tentang gerakan lingkungan berbasis iman
Menjamak Sholat Bagi Pengantin yang Melaksanakan Walimah Al ’Urs Perspektif Syekh Alwi Ahmad Saqqaf dan Imam Asy-Syaukani
In the current era of progress, the wedding party (walimah al 'urs) is considered by some people as something that must be fulfilled when someone is married. Its raelitas can be seen when there is a wedding party (walimah al 'urs), some of the bride and groom will leave the prayer, some of them do their obligations after the prayer time is over and some of them choose plural. In this case the author takes the strongest opinion after munaqasyah al-adillah, namely the opinion of Sheikh Alwi Ahmad Saqqaf. The aim of this study is to examine further the Multiple Prayers for Wedding Brides When Carrying Out Walimah Al'urs from the Perspective of Sheikh Alwi Ahmad Saqqaf and Imam Asy-Syaukani. The research method used is normative sociological research method, which is comparative. The results of the study show that there are multiple prayers for the bride and groom when carrying out a wedding party (walimah al 'urs), so some scholars allow it and some do not. Among these opinions is the opinion of Sheikh Alwi Ahmad Saqqaf that it is permissible to pray multiple prayers when there is a need or an excuse. Meanwhile, another opinion is the opinion of Imam Asy-Syaukani that it is permissible to pray together only because of rain, fear and illness. So the most relevant relation to the existing case chronology is the opinion of Sheikh Alwi Ahma Saqqof. Namely those who say it is permissible to make plural taqdim absolutely other than because of traveling, illness, and for other than the two of other reasons
The Implementation of the Qirâ’ah of Imam Abû ‘Amr Riwâyah Al-Dûrî’s and Al-Sûsî’s in Alwi Al Bahri Quranic House at Banjar Regency

The application of reading the Quran with various kinds of qirâ’ah began to develop with the existence of the Quranic House institutions study qirâ’ah in Banjar Regency. Apart from that, the Musâbaqah Tilâwah al-Qur’ân (MTQ) event also became an incentive for teenagers to learn the science of qirâ’ah. At Alwi Al Bahri has a unique another of learning and different learning process. The difference is the rules of which are immediately put into in reading the Quran.
This research aims to find out how to understand the model and implementation of reading the qirâ’ah of Imam Abû ‘Amr in the riwâyah of al-Dûrî and al-Sûsî seen from its rules at the Alwi Al Bahri Quranic House, Banjar Regency. The research used by this author is field research, which was carried out using a qualitative approach. The research conducted by this author was use to answer the abilities of the santri and santriwati in applying Imam Abû ‘Amr’s principles of qirâ’ah in reading the Quran and the opinions of the students regarding their understanding of the rules of the science of qirâ’ah that they learn this, and what are the obstacles in understanding and studying the science of qirâ’ah and what are the implications of learning qirâ’ah in social life.
This research includes the study of ‘ulûm al-qur’ân, because qirâ’ah is included in the branch of ‘ulûm al-qur’ân. According from the initial aim of the Alwi Al Bahri Quranic House, it was only to take part in the Musâbaqah Tilâwah al-Qur’ân event. The santri understanding of the qirâ’ah of Imam Abû ‘Amr, the riwâyah of al-Dûrî and al-Sûsî at the Alwi Al Bahri Quranic House Bahri only understands the aspects of how to read and pronounce the rules, even though in theory the santri do not understand them very deeply, even though the idea taught at the Quranic House is only a glimpse, the santri understanding of the rules of qirâ’ah can be said to be quite good as seen from the santri when reading the Quran uses the rules of qirâ’a
Community Typology and Voting Behavior in Elections: A Political Sociology Perspective
Regional head elections (Pilkada) are a democratic process that reflects the social dynamics of society in choosing leaders in regional elections, using a sociological approach to understand the social facts of society. This research aims to analyze typologies that influence voter preferences. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach in several regions that hold regional elections. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation studies. The research results show that society can be classified into several typologies, such as pragmatic voters, ideological voters, and traditional voters. Pragmatic voters tend to vote based on personal interests or direct benefits, while ideological voters place more emphasis on the candidate's vision, mission and work program. Meanwhile, traditional voters are influenced by cultural factors, kinship, or personal relationships with candidates. Social factors such as campaign intensity, influence of public figures, and access to information also play an important role in shaping voter preferences. These findings show that voting behavior patterns are not only determined by rational aspects, but also by social and cultural values inherent in society. This research makes an important contribution in understanding voter behavior from a sociological perspective, which can be a reference for stakeholders in designing political strategies that are more inclusive and responsive to community needs. Apart from that, the results of this research can also enrich the study of political sociology, especially in the context of local democracy in Indonesia
Pola Konsumsi Budaya di Era Media Sosial: Peluang dan Tantangan Pada Masyarakat Modern
Revolusi digital dan meluasnya penggunaan media sosial telah menjadi isu kontemporer yang mengubah secara fundamental pola konsumsi budaya masyarakat modern. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh media sosial terhadap cara pandang masyarakat dalam konteks perubahan budaya serta mengidentifikasi peluang dan tantangan yang muncul dari perubahan pola konsumsi tersebut. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui wawancara mendalam di Kecamatan Tamalate, Kota Makassar, penelitian mengungkapkan empat temuan utama: (1) pergeseran pola konsumsi budaya; (2) media sosial sebagai jembatan peralihan budaya; (3) tantangan mempertahankan budaya lokal; dan (4) potensi media sosial dalam melestarikan dan mempromosikan budaya tradisional. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meski media sosial membuka peluang ekonomi dan pertukaran budaya positif, fenomena ini juga menimbulkan dilema dalam menjaga keaslian budaya lokal. Diperlukan literasi media kritis dan pendekatan selektif dalam mengonsumsi dan memproduksi konten budaya untuk menyeimbangkan manfaat globalisasi dengan pelestarian warisan budaya lokal
Konsep dan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter perspektif Al Habib Abdullah Bin Alwi Al Haddad dalam Kitab Risalah Adab Sulukil Murid
INDONESIA:
Pendidikan karakter merupakan salah satu strategi dalam menanggulangi kenakalan remaja yang marak saat ini. Banyak kasus yang terjadi dikalangan pelajar saat ini. Kasus seperti pergaulan bebas, narkoba, berjudi, berkelahi dan lain sebaginya merupakan efek dari kurangnya pembinaan mental dan karakter pada diri mereka. Jika kita melihat dalam islam sudah dijelaskan tentang nilai-nilai akhlak agar menjadi manusia berakhlak karimah.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan model pendekatan yang digunakan dalam kitab Risalah Adab Sulukil Murid karya Al Habib Abdullah bin Alwi Al Haddad serta konsep dan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam kitab tersebut.
Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah kitab Risalah Adab Sulukil Murid karya Al Habib Abdullah bin Alwi Al Haddad dengan menggunakan studi kepustakaan (Library Research). kegiatan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh peneliti dengan mendalami, menghayati, mencerna, menelaah, dan menidentifikasi pengetahuan yang terdapat dalam beberapa literatur. Adapun untuk teknik pengumpulan data adalah menggunakan metode dokumentasi. Metode dokumentasi merupakan metode yang dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data yang menggunakan dokumen-dokumen baik berupa buku, jurnal, artikel, maupun karya ilmiah yang menunjang penelitian. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan metode Content analysis yang merupakan proses menganalisa serta menyusun secara sistematis sebuah data.
Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan penulis dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan yang digunakan Al Habib Abdullah bin Alwi Al Haddad dalam kitab Risalah Adab Sulukil Murid adalah pendekatan tasawuf akhlaki. Sedangkan konsep pendidikan karakter menurut Habib Abdullah Al Haddad adalah hak dan kewajiban peserta didik, serta syarat dan kompetensi yang harus dimiliki oleh pendidik. Adapun nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam kitab tersebut antara lain: Nilai religius, Nilai jujur, Nilai disiplin, Nilai kerja keras, Nilai mandiri, Nilai rasa ingin tahu, Nilai semangat kebangsaan atau cinta tanah air, Nilai komunikatif, Nilai cinta damai, Nilai gemar membaca, Nilai peduli sosial dan Nilai tanggung jawab.

Character education is one of the strategies in ward off the delinquency teenagers today. Many cases occur among students today. Cases such as promiscuity, drugs, gambling, fighting and etc. are the effects of the lack of mental and character development. If we look at Islam studies, it has already been explained about moral values in order to become human beings with moral values.
This study aims to describe the approach model used in the book of Risalah Adab Sulukil Murid by Al Habib Abdullah bin Alwi Al Haddad and the concepts and values of character education in that book.
The object of this research is the book entitled Risalah Adab Sulukil Murid by Al Habib Abdullah bin Alwi Al Haddad using library research. Library research is a research activities carried out by researchers by exploring, experiencing, digesting, analyzing, and identifying knowledge contained in some literature. As for the data collection technique is to use the documentation method. The documentation method is a method that is carried out by collecting data using documents in the form of books, journals, articles, and scientific works that support research. While the data analysis uses the Content analysis method which is the process of analyzing and systematically compiling a data.
The results of research by the author can be concluded that the approach used Al Habib Abdullah bin Alwi Al Haddad in the Book of Minutes of Adab Sulukil Pupil is Sufism akhlaki approach. While the concept of character education according to Habib Abdullah Al Haddad is the rights and obligations of students, as well as the requirements and competencies that must be possessed by educators. The values of character education in the book include: religious values, honest values, disciplinary values, hard work values, independent values, curiosity values, national spirit values, communicative values, peaceful love values, fond values reading, the value of social care and the value of responsibility

التربية الأخلاقية هو أحد من الاستراتيجيات في معالجة جنوح الشباب المتفشي اليوم. وكثير من الحالات بين الطلاب اليوم. حالات مثل الاختلاط والعقاقير والقمار والقتال وغير ذلك هي آثار افتقارهم إلى التطور العقلي والشخصي. إذا نظرنا إلى الإسلام ، فقد شرح عن القيم الأخلاقية ليجعل الناس النافع والمنتفع.
ويهدف هذا البحث للتصور القاربية التي يعمل في كتاب رسالة أداب سلوك المريد للحبيب عبد الله بن علوي الحداد مع مفاهيمه والقيمة التربية الاخلاقية في ذلك الكتاب. وموضع في هذا البحث يعني كتاب "رسالة أداب سلوك المريد" للحبيب عبدالله بن علوي الحداد مستخدماً بالمبحثة المكتبة. المبحثة المكتبة هي الأنشطة البحث التي يقوم بها الباحثون من خلال استكشاف وتجربة وهضم وتحليل وتحديد المعرفة الواردة في بعض المؤلفات. أما أسلوب في جمع البيانات فهو استخدام بالطريقة الوثائق. طريقة التوثيق هي طريقة يتم تنفيذها عن طريق جمع البيانات باستخدام المستندات في شكل كتب ومجلات ومقالات وأعمال علمية في دعم هذا البحث. بينما يستخدم تحليل البيانات طريقة تحليل المحتوى وهي عملية تحليل البيانات وتجميعها بشكل منهجي.
واما النتيجة من هذا البحث التي أجراها المؤلف يعني أن المنهج الذي استخدمه الحبيب عبد الله بن علوي الحداد في كتاب رسالة اداب سلوك المريد هو منهج التصوف الأخلاقي. في حين أن مفهوم التربية الأخلاقية عند الحبيب عبدالله الحداد هو حقوق وواجبات الطلاب , والشروط و الكفاءات التي تجب يتملكها المعلمين. تتضمن قيم تعليم الشخصية في الكتاب: القيم الدينية ، وقيم الصديق ، وقيم الإنضباط ، وقيم العمل الجاد ، وقيم المستقلة ، قيم الفضولي ، وقيم الروح الوطنية أو حب الوطن ، القيم التواصلية ، قيم الحب السلمي ، القيم المحبة في القراءة ، قيمة الرعاية الاجتماعية وقيمة المسؤولية
Dampak Kesenjangan Sosial dan Ekonomi terhadap Kesejahteraan Masyarakat di Kota Makassar
Kesenjangan sosial dan ekonomi merupakan kondisi ketidakseimbangan antar individu atau kelompok dalam lingkup kehidupan di lingkungan sosial. Kondisi pengangguran dan kemiskinan merupakan dua area yang terdampak oleh ketimpangan sosial dan ekonomi ini.Lebih jauh lagi, ketimpangan dalam prospek kesehatan dan pendidikan dapat menghalangi sebagian orang dan komunitas untuk memperoleh kesempatan yang sama untuk berkembang.Faktor lain yang menyebabkan kesenjangan tersebut semakin melebar adalah pembangunan infrastruktur yang tidak merata atau ketimpangan permukiman. Terakhir, ketika sekelompok orang merasa tersisih dan tidak memperoleh akses yang sama terhadap kesempatan ekonomi,ketidakpuasan sosial dan potensi konflik dapat meningkat.Untuk memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang dampak kesenjangan sosial dan ekonomi terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat di Makassar, penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif deskriptif.Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, akses yang sama terhadap sumber daya, pendidikan, dan peningkatan infrastruktur di daerah tertinggal merupakan komponen penting dari upaya terpadu untuk mengatasi ketimpangan sosial dan ekonomi. Selain mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi yang merata, pendekatan ini akan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat secara keseluruhan.Oleh karena itu, inisiatif untuk mengurangi ketimpangan sosial dan ekonomi di berbagai tingkatan harus mengutamakan kebijakan yang menekankan penciptaan lapangan kerja dan pemberdayaan.
