SİİRT EKOLOJİK KOŞULLARINDA SÜMBÜL (Hyacinthus sp.) BİTKİSİNİN GELİŞİMİ VE BESİN ELEMENTİ İÇERİĞİ ÜZERİNE VERMİKOMPOST VE NP DOZLARININ ETKİLERİ
This study was carried out on the campus of Siirt University between 2016-2017 years. Solid worm fertilization (vermicompost) at dosages of 25 g/bulb (V1), 50 g/bulb (V2), 75 g/bulb (V3) and 2 kg/da (NP1), 4 kg/da (NP2), 8 kg/da (NP3) Nitrogen-Phosphorus (NP) were applicated on plant growth and nutrient content of hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis L. "Purpe Star").
According to the results plant grwoth criteria, the highest mean on control treatment fırst flowering time 136,35 days; full flowering time 138,38 days, harvest time 140,92 days and the highest mean on V1; leaf number 5,710, leaf height 128,28 mm, floret diameter 28,140 mm, stalk thickness 13,507 mm; and the highest mean on V2; flower diameter 66,96 mm, and the highest mean on V3; flower height 116,33 mm and the highest mean on NP1; floret number 37,690 and the highest mean on NP2; floret height 26,768 mm, and the highest leaf diameter 28,86 mm and plant height 179,547 mm were obtained in NP3.
According to leaf analysis results, nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), zinc (Zn) and copper (Cu) contents were found significant (p<0,01) statistically and between 2,403-4,450 %, 0,291-0,603 %, 3,112-6,758 %, 802,333-1520,657 mg kg-1, 46,253-86,200 mg
kg-1, 15,148-33,560 mg kg-1 and 8,582-18,616 mg kg-1 respectively except calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) contents were determined between 0,775-1,130 % and 0,239-0,346 respectively. In leaves the highest mean contents of N, P, K, Mg and Cu were found on V3 while Zn was found on V1 while Fe, Mn and Ca were found on NP3 treatments.
On the other hand, on P, Fe and Zn (P<0,01) and K (P<0,05) were found significant statistically, except N, Ca, Mg, Mn and Cu on bulbs. As well as the highest mean contents of N, P, K and Mg were found on V3 while Mn, Zn and Cu were found on V1; Fe was obtained on control and Ca was obtained V3 and NP2 treatments. The means of nutrient elements as N 1,067-1,713 %, P 0,191-0,337 %, K 0,817- 1,183%, Ca 0,287-0,372 %, Mg 0,089-0,119 %, Fe 169,540-482,209 mg kg-1, Mn 12,410-23,374 mg kg-1,
Zn 7,39-18,556 mg kg-1 and Cu 4,711-6,949 mg kg-1 were determined
The effects of dosages of worm and nitrogen-phosphorus fertilizers on plant growth of hyacinthus sp. in Siirt province, Turkey
This research was carried out in order to determine the effects of worm fertilizer and nitrogen-phosphorus fertilizer dosage differences on flowering of hyacinth as a bulbous ornamental plant from 2016 to 2017 in Siirt University, Turkey. Solid worm fertilizer was applied at dosages of 25 g/bulb (V1), 50 g/bulb (V2), 75 g/bulb (V3) and 2 kg/decare (NP1), 4 kg/decare (NP2), 8 kg/decare (NP3) Nitrogen-Phosphorus (NP) were applied during the growth of hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis L. cv. “Purple Star”). According to the results, the lowest (the earliest time) mean values of the first flowering time, full flowering time, and harvest time were obtained as 135.25 days, 136.54 days, and 137.70 days in V1 treatment, respectively. The highest mean value on leaf number (5.71), leaf length (128.21 mm), stalk thickness (13.50 mm), and floret diameter (28.14 mm) were determined in V1. The highest mean values belong to flower diameter (66.96 mm) and length (116.33 mm) were evaluated in V2 and V3, respectively. Among NP fertilizers, in NP1 the highest mean value on floret number (37.69) while in NP2 the highest mean value on floret length (26.76 mm) were obtained. The highest mean values on leaf diameter and plant height were found as 28.86 mm and 179.54 mm in NP3 treatment. As a result, it has been determined that the hyacinth can be grown with worm fertilization without chemical fertilizer use under ecological conditions of Siirt province. Considering the adverse effects of chemical fertilizers on the environment, it is proved that there are no statistically significant differences between them and the worm fertilizer, which is a bio-fertilizer.Siirt University Coordinator of Scientific Research and Projects-2016-SİÜFEB-2
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
