La inteligencia emocional en adolescentes, análisis en función de género, curso y práctica deportiva
No full textEl presente estudio tiene como objetivo analizar distintas variables relacionadas con la inteligencia emocional en los estudiantes de secundaria y formación profesional de un centro educativo. Concretamente, se pretende conocer información acerca de la percepción emocional, la gestión autoemocional, la gestión heteroemocional y la utilización emocional de los estudiantes, para posteriormente realizar comparaciones en función del género, del curso al que pertenecen, así como en función de si practican o no actividad física, con la intención de comprobar la existencia o no de diferencias significativas. El estudio se ha llevado a cabo con un total de 101 alumnos, recogiendo la información a través de un cuestionario validado con respuesta tipo Likert de 1 a 5. Los resultados indican que los hombres, los estudiantes de 1º de bachillerato y aquellos que practican actividad física, muestran mejores valoraciones medias respecto al resto de grupos. Además, se comprueba que, en determinados aspectos de la inteligencia emocional, existen diferencias significativas entre los hombres y las mujeres, entre los cursos analizados, así como entre los estudiantes que practican o no practican actividad física.Fil: Merino Jiménez, Carlos. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Características de los participantes en el Circuito de Carreras Populares de la ciudad de Valencia
Get PDFEl presente estudio se ha llevado a cabo para analizar el perfil del corredor de carreras populares de la ciudad de Valencia. La promoción de actividades y eventos deportivos es una herramienta muy importante para el establecimiento de hábitos saludables en la población. Persiguiendo este objetivo, el deporte municipal y en concreto el circuito de carreras populares cumplen un papel fundamental, ya que se convierten en una oportunidad accesible en todos los sentidos para que la gente se inicie y consolide sus niveles de práctica deportiva. La muestra corresponde a un total de 1467 participantes de los cuales 390 son mujeres y 1077 hombres, representando un 25,58% y un 73,42% respectivamente. Como instrumento se procedió a elaborar una encuesta a partir de la literatura existente, estructurada en cuatro bloques. Se ha llevado a cabo un análisis descriptivo para conocer el perfil de corredor que asiste a este tipo de eventos, controlando numerosas variables: edad, género, frecuencia de práctica, pertenencia a un club, posesión de ficha federativa, años que lleva corriendo, con quién suele salir a correr, en qué espacios suele salir a hacer running y, por último, su opinión respecto a las instalaciones que ofrece la ciudad de valencia para la práctica deportiva. En algunas de estas variables se han realizado comparaciones entre hombres y mujeres. Los resultados muestran información interesante respecto al perfil del corredor, encontrando diferencias significativas entre hombres y mujeres en algunas de las variables propuestas.Fil: Alguacil, Mario. Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. ¿Cómo afecta la práctica deportiva a la importancia que le otorgan los alumnos a la educación física, la motivación deportiva y clima motivacional que perciben en clase?
Get PDFEl objetivo de este estudio fue analizar la influencia de la práctica deportiva extraescolar en la predicción de clima motivacional y motivación deportiva sobre importancia que le otorgan los alumnos a la educación física (IUPEP). Los participantes fueron 250 estudiantes de la ESO y 1º bachiller (55.2% varones y 44.8% mujeres) de 12 a 18 años (M=14.01, DT=1.67), de los cuales un 74.9% practican deporte extraescolar y un 25.1% no lo hacía. Los instrumentos Escala de importancia de la educación física (IEF), Cuestionario de orientación al aprendizaje y al rendimiento en las clases de educación física (LAPOPECQ) y Escala de motivación deportiva (SMS) fueron utilizados. Los datos fueron analizados usando estadísticos descriptivos y pruebas t, y regresiones, mediante SPSS versión 22. Los resultados sugieren que los alumnos que practican deporte extraescolar obtienen resultados significativamente superiores en motivación intrínseca, extrínseca e IUPEP y más bajos en amotivación. Además, ninguna de las variables analizadas predice la importancia que los alumnos prestan a la educación física teniendo en cuenta la práctica deportiva extraescolar.Fil: Escamilla Fajardo, Paloma. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
