Non-premixed combustion in rotary kilns using OpenFOAM: the effect of conjugate heat transfer and external radiative heat loss on the reacting flow and the wall
The wish to reduce the environmental footprint and to enhance economic gains of rotary kilns pushes the numerical simulation of combustion to include conjugate heat transfer. In this paper we study the influence of the refractory wall and radiative heat loss to the ambient, on the combustion process of a reference kiln model. Numerical results show that the inclusion of the refractory lining and the external radiative heat loss allows the inner wall temperature distribution to vary, with 60 % difference between its minimum and maximum. This is in sharp contrast with models that assume a fixed temperature at the wall. Consequently the maximum inner wall temperature increases by more than 200 %, the maximum flame temperature by nearly 13 % and maximum freeboard gas temperature by up to 90 %. Turbocharger Diesel Engine dapat di anggap sebagai kombinasi dari Mesin Diesel dan turbin gas, di mana output turbin adalah urutan hingga sepertiga dari output Mesin Diesel. Gas buang hilir dari Mesin Diesel mengembang di turbin, yang menggerakkan kompresor. Kopling antara engine dan turbocharger melibatkan parameter gas dan aliran massa. Bersama dengan rasio tekanan kompresor dan turbin output turbin yang sama dan kompresor. Turbocharger di sesuaikan dengan tipe mesin dua langkah atau empat langkah.
Metode penelitian ini penulis menggunakan metode SPSS sebagai teknik analisa data untuk menganalisa korelasi antara variabel bebas dan variabel terikat, metode SWOT untuk menganalisa berbagai faktor yang dapat dijadikan pilihan dalam mengoptimasi kinerja dari boiler secara sistematis terhadap kekuatan- kekuatan (strenghts), kelemahan-kelemahan (weaknesses), peluang-peluang (opportunities), serta ancaman-ancaman (threats) dari lingkungan untuk merumuskan strategi yang akan diambil, metode AHP untuk menganalisa hasil dari metode SWOT sehingga didapatkan satu pilihan terbaik berdasarkan output tersebut.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan penulis di kapal dan di kampus PIP Semarang dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel bebas berkorelasi terhadap variabel terikat sehingga dapat dijadikan parameter untuk menentukan kualitas varabel terikat. Kemudian strategi optimasi kinerja turbocharger menggunakan strategi analisis SWOT yaitu strategi offensif yang berada di kuadran IV, terdapat tiga faktor upaya untuk mengoptimasi kinerja turbocharger yaitu , kualitas udara dari luar ke blower side, komunikasi antara engineer dengan marker dan kualitas minyak lumas yang tidak sesuai. output SWOT menggunakan metode AHP menghasilkan satu pilihan terkuat yaitu kualitas udara dari luar ke blower side.

Diesel turbocharger engine can be considered as a combination of diesel engines and gas turbine, where turbine output is a sequence of up to one third of diesel engine output. Exhaust gas downstream of the diesel engine expands on the turbine, which drives the compressor. The clutch between the engine and turbocharger involves gas parameters and mass flow. A long with the risk of compressor pressure and turbine output of the same turbine and compressor. The turbocharger is adjusted to the two-step or four-step engine type.

This research method uses the SPSS method as a data analysis technique to analyze the correlation between independent variables and dependent variables, the SWOT method to analyze various factors that can be used as a choice in optimizing the performance of the boiler systematically against strengths (strenghts), weaknesses (weaknesses), opportunities, and threats from the environment to formulate the strategies to be taken, the AHP method to analyze the results of the SWOT method so that the best choice is obtained based on that output.
Based on the results of research conducted by the author on board and on the PIP campus in Semarang, it can be concluded that the independent variable correlates to the dependent variable so that it can be used as a parameter to determine the quality of dependent variables. Then the optimization strategy of boiler performance using the SWOT analysis strategy, which is an offensive strategy in quadrant IV, there are three factors that attempt to optimize the performance of Fresh Water Generators, namely, experience and skills of engineers, provision of safety for the crew, heating temperature to the appropriate evaporator. SWOT output using the AHP method produces one of the strongest choices, namely the experience and skill of the engineer

Layanan informasi sangatlah mudah dilakukan dan tidak memerlukan waktu yang lama dalam pelaksanaannya maka dari itu sudah seharusnya setiap guru BK bisa melaksanakan layanan tersebut dengan baik disekolahnya. Pelaksanaan layanan informasi juga berperan cukup penting dalam pengembangan kreativitas siswa yang bermanfaat baik itu pada saat masih duduk dibangku sekolah maupun saat tamat dari sekolah nantinya. Tujuan idari ipenelitian iini iadalah iuntuk: i(1) Untuk mengetahui efektivitas layanan informasi yang dilakukan guru BK dalam mengembangkan kreativitas siswa di SMK Mandiri Percut Sei Tuan. In Between: An Interlayer Material Study for Interlocking Cast Glass Blocks
Interlocking cast glass assemblies are a promising solution for architectural cast-glass applications aiming for high transparency and a reversible structure that allows the reuse of the glass components (Oikonomopoulou et al.,2018; Oikonomopoulou,2019b). In such a system, an interlayer material between the glass elements is essential, to assist the homogenous stress distribution and account for the surface microasperities of the glass elements. Towards circularity, this material should be dry (and not an adhesive), allowing for the eventual disassembly of the system. Previous experimental work by (Aurik at al.,2018; Oikonomopoulou at al.,2019b) has focused on the use of PU and PVC interlayers as suitable candidates; the focus in those studies has been solely placed on the mechanical performance of the interlayer material. This research provides a review of potential material candidates suitable for interlayers of an interlocking cast glass assembly based on a set of revised design and performance criteria that are divided into primary and secondary. Furthermore, the impact their unique material properties have on the potential application of the interlocking system is examined. The whole process, from fabrication to construction of the entire assembly, based on an assumed building scenario, is presented in a chain reaction manner, whose starting point is the interlayer itself. After defining the design criteria the interlayer should adhere to, the proposed candidates are: PETG sheets (Vivak®), Neoprene, Aluminum, Laminated Polyurethane (PU) and a Soft-core aluminum interlayer. The unique properties and fabrication challenges of all five proposed interlayers are considered, as well as their properties in relation to assembly, which leads to the development of two distinct assembly sequences. The main distinction concerns the interlayers that risk creeping and those that do not. Meta-analyses identify 13 loci associated with age at menopause and highlight DNA repair and immune pathways
To newly identify loci for age at natural menopause, we carried out a meta-analysis of 22 genome-wide association studies (GWAS) in 38,968 women of European descent, with replication in up to 14,435 women. In addition to four known loci, we identified 13 loci newly associated with age at natural menopause (at P < 5 × 10(-8)). Candidate genes located at these newly associated loci include genes implicated in DNA repair (EXO1, HELQ, UIMC1, FAM175A, FANCI, TLK1, POLG and PRIM1) and immune function (IL11, NLRP11 and PRRC2A (also known as BAT2)). Gene-set enrichment pathway analyses using the full GWAS data set identified exoDNase, NF-κB signaling and mitochondrial dysfunction as biological processes related to timing of menopause

An Accurate and Compact High Power Monocycle Pulse Transmitter for Microwave Ultra-Wideband Radar Sensors with an enhanced SRD model: Applications for Distance Measurement for lossy Materiel
[EN] In This paper, a high power sub-nanosecond pulse transmitter for Ultra-wideband radar sensor is presented. The backbone of the generator is considered as a step recovery diode and unique pulse injected into the circuit, which gives rise to an ultra-wide band Gaussian pulse. The transistor driver and transmission line pulse forming the whole network are investigated in detail. The main purpose of this work is to transform a square waveform signal to a driving pulse with the timing and the amplitude parameters required by the SRD to form an output Gaussian pulse, and then into high monocycle pulses. In simulation aspect, an improved output response is required, in this way a new model of step recovery diode has been proposed as a sharpener circuit. This proposition was applied to increase the rise-time of the pulses. For a good range radar, a high amplitude pulse is indispensable, especially when it comes to penetrate thick lossy materiel. In order to overcome this challenge, a simple technique and useful solution is introduced to increase the output amplitude of the transmitter. This technique consists to connect the outputs of two identical pulse generators in parallel respecting the restrictions required. The pulse transmitter circuit is completely fabricated using micro-strip structure technology characteristics. Waveforms of the generated monocycle pulses over 10V in amplitude with 3.5 % in overshoot have been obtained.
