No full textL’educazione del maschio è una delle sfide contemporanee più urgenti e più radicali se si riconosce che molte delle problematiche del mondo in cui viviamo – dalla violenza di genere, alla criminalità, alla guerra, alla devastazione della natura, alla crisi di natalità – sono in qualche modo connesse ad una ingombrate egemonia di modelli patologici e (auto)distruttivi di virilità e alla lenta e faticosa elaborazione nella coscienza e nella pratica sociale di modelli alternativi, più ecologici e nonviolenti di maschilità. Il paradigma della forza e della potenza virile che si afferma su uomini, donne, bambini, su avversari e competitors economici, su nemici, oppositori e forze avverse, che proietta la sua ombra sulla società, sulla natura e persino sullo spazio planetario sembra rappresentare un immaginario radicato ed ingessato che, pur segnato da crepe, acciacchi, ferite, continua ad ingombrare la nostra cultura e la nostra psiche. Da uomo a padre : il percorso emotivo della paternità
No full textChi sono i padri del terzo millennio? Sono quelli che mettono al mondo un figlio desiderosi di essere presenti nella sua vita. Quelli che vogliono diventare uomini migliori grazie alla paternità. Quelli che sanno essere disponibili e coinvolti e così facendo sostengono la crescita dei loro figli in modo autorevole e affettuoso. La paternità oggi è «contaminata» da bisogni emotivi nuovi per il mondo degli uomini. I «papà millennial» pensano ai propri figli e vivono loro accanto in modo completamente differente rispetto ai padri da cui sono nati. Non più solo «padri della legge», ma anche padri emotivi, affettivi, teneri, sensibili. Non più solo padri preoccupati di dare sicurezza, norme e protezione ai figli, attraverso il proprio lavoro, ma anche profondamente convinti del loro ruolo affettivo e educativo. Un saggio sulla paternità, scientificamente solido e basato sulle più recenti scoperte delle neuroscienze e sulle evidenze della teoria dell'attaccamento di John Bowlby, che è anche un percorso di self-help, in grado di aiutare gli uomini che stanno pensando di diventare padri, quelli che già lo sono e quelli che, non essendolo, stanno rielaborando la loro storia di figli a fianco del padre che li ha cresciuti. Casi clinici, storie di uomini alle prese con la paternità, ma anche informazioni e competenze che ogni uomo deve saper mettere in gioco nel passaggio da uomo a padre. Un saggio che si legge come un romanzo, perché arricchito da una serie di narrazioni sviluppate attraverso il metodo della NPO (narrativa psicologicamente orientata), di cui Alberto Pellai stesso ha teorizzato modello e metodo, realizzando molti libri per bambini e adulti. Un volume per aiutare gli uomini e le donne a comprendere in modo competente ed emozionale al tempo stesso che cosa succede nella mente degli uomini quando diventano padri e come rendere la paternità una tappa evolutiva nel proprio ciclo di vita, capace di rendere migliore ogni uomo che tiene per mano il proprio figlio lungo il percorso della crescita

No full textIl primo bacio non si scorda mai. Perché è un punto di svolta, il primo passo nel mondo sconosciuto della sessualità. Per questo è importante insegnare ai ragazzi a non sprecarlo, a dargli un significato, a chiedersi cosa vogliono e sentono davvero, prima di lanciarsi in un'esperienza tanto per farla. Non è mai troppo presto, né troppo tardi, per iniziare a parlare di primi baci e affettività: basta trovare il modo giusto, adatto all'età dei nostri figli. L'unica cosa che non possiamo proprio permetterci è tacere, soprattutto oggi che i giovani sono tempestati da stimoli troppo grandi per loro. In questo libro Barbara Tamborini e Alberto Pellai ci aiutano a mettere a fuoco quale educazione sessuale e affettiva è bene trasmettere ai nostri figli, perché trovino la propria strada a partire da alcuni valori di riferimento. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
