Cryptalaus tamargrahensis Akhter, Drumont, Rizvi & Ahmed, 2012, sp. n.
Cryptalaus tamargrahensis sp. n. (Figs: 3 & 6) Material examined. Pakistan; Kheybar Pakhton Khoa Province, Tamargrah, Holotype 1 male; July- 2005, leg. Rasheed, (NHMKU); Allotype 1 female; same data as Holotype (ACP). Measurement. (Holotype) Length 24.00 mm; width 8.00 mm. (Allotype) Length 28.00 mm; width 9.00 mm. Coloration. Reddish - brown, sides blackish, legs and antennae blackish-brown, covered with dense vestitures. Head. Quadrate, depressed, anteriorly; clypeus with lateral margin emarginated rounded, medially arcuate, sides angulated, deep punctures with dense vestiture at sides; antennae (Fig: 6) extended scarcely middle of pronotum, basal antennomere robust, 2 nd antennomere very small, globous, 3 rd antennomere smaller than 4 th antennomere, 4 th broader than others, remain antennomeres serrate, last antennomere spatulate with apex truncate. Thorax. Pronotum slightly longer than broad, hind angles emarginated, acuminate, with a fine, short carina, rounded, convex in the middle, medially emarginated, side slightly flattened, anterior margin slightly emarginated medially, bisinuate, sides entire, rounded apico-median, than angulated posteriorly, circle of disc prominent laterally, deep and fine punctures with dense vestiture somewhere; scutellum lobate, depressed with deep punctures; elytra with base as broad as base of pronotum, sinuate medially, narrower behind, apices rounded, interstriae with very fine puncture, covered with dense vestiture, striae with deep, broad punctures with its length. Male genitalia. (Fig: 4) Aedeagus with median lobe broad, elongate, evidently longer than parameres, apically slightly narrower, form a triangular, conical tip, from apex to scarcely behind, a triangular area developed by emergence of distinct angles of base of area; parameres acuminate, distance between apical margin to inner margin very less, posteriorly gradually dilated, strongly expended in base; two median struts, cord like, entire near to base of basal plate; basal plate modified, laterally expended, basal margin cord like, sclerotized. Female genitalia. (Fig: 5) Ovipositor stout, sclerotized, paraprocts elongated, cylindrical, irregular length curved, apex only spatulated, two spermatheca arise, triangular, sclerotized margin, incomplete, attached apically to anterior most section of bursa copulatrix, sternite consist elongate shaft, medially bifurcate, distinctly away to each other posteriorly, apex truncate, basal plate broad, sheet like, rare bristles in the middle, dense on base. Etymology. This species is named for the type locality. Female. Similar to male, larger in body size and with shorter antennae. Diagnosis. The new species resembles Cryptalaus enquis Candèze in the body shape, the antennae exceeding middle of the pronotum, and the hind angles of the pronotum with short carina. Contesting the Saudi State: Islamic voices from a new generation
The terms Wahhabi or Salafi are seen as interchangeable and frequently misunderstood by outsiders. However, as Madawi al-Rasheed explains in a fascinating exploration of Saudi Arabia in the twenty-first century, even Saudis do not agree on their meaning. Under the influence of mass education, printing, new communication technology, and global media, they are forming their own conclusions and debating religion and politics in traditional and novel venues, often violating official taboos and the conservative values of the Saudi society. Drawing on classical religious sources, contemporary readings and interviews, Al-Rasheed presents an ethnography of consent and contest, exploring the fluidity of the boundaries between the religious and political. Bridging the gap between text and context, the author also examines how states and citizens manipulate religious discourse for purely political ends, and how this manipulation generates unpredictable reactions whose control escapes those who initiated them
“Come Think With Me”: Finding Communion in the Liberatory Textual Practices of Kameelah Janan Rasheed
Defining text as anything that can be read, self-identified learner and artist Kameelah Janan Rasheed explores reading as radical communion within her multifaceted textual practice. A 2021 Guggenheim Fellow, Rasheed’s work spans vast bodies of knowledge and temporalities to interrogate both the aesthetic and the limits of the text. At times producing collages with letters cut out from books in her own expansive library, and at other times posting scans from various books that are marked up with her rigorous note-taking, Rasheed approaches the text as an invitation to commune with the author in order to collectively arrive at new ways of knowing and being. Rasheed’s work maps both her own hypertextual engagements while simultaneously enacting a Black feminist approach to literacy, one that recognizes Black women’s textual practices as mapping geographic, corporeal, and psychological sites of resistance.

Victory contractor resource center : final project report
Goler Community Development Corporation and its partners are developing a Contractor Resource Center called the Victory Contractor Resource Center (VCRC) for low-resource contractors focused on the skilled construction trade, which includes general contractors. The purpose of the center is to increase low-resource contractor participation in large-scale projects. Additionally, the role of the resource center will be to aid low-resource contractors in partnering with each other and collaborating contractually with majority contractors to ensure their ability to get to the negotiation table and their ability to reach the scale of production necessary to adequately perform the job. Ordinarily these contracts would be beyond the low-resource contractor's individual capacity. The resource center will bring intellectual capital to the underserved market of low-resource owned construction businesses across a two county area. The resource center along with its advisory board will create numerous opportunities for low-resource and majority businesses to network and build relationships. Quantifying the fouling resistance of Accident-Tolerant Fuel (ATF) cladding coatings with force spectroscopy

This is caused by corrosion in reactor internals, leading to problems such as coolant contamination in porous deposits left by CRUD. CRUD has forced many nuclear reactors into temporary shutdown or production downgrades, costing millions of dollars US per reactor. If the CRUD growth factors could be fully understood, they could be controlled, and the CRUD problem could be eliminated altogether. Atomic force microscopy can be used to measure the force, or the strength of the CRUD-clad bond with different materials. This research focuses on answering this question: How does the force change between CRUD particles and different materials that could be used for reactor cladding? This study will analyze lab-grown CRUD samples on different substrate materials and characterize CRUD growth on each. It was found the CRUD-bond forces (from least to greatest) on silicon carbide (SiC), Titanium aluminum carbide (Ti2AlC), and max-phase zirconium alloy 211(Zr4M211) behaved similarly in air and in water. The forces on each surface increased with increasing dwell time for the Fe3O4 particle AFM tip; in contrast, most adhesion forces stayed constant with the NiO AFM tip. Furthermore, these CRUD forces were compared to other non-accident tolerant fuels, and there are cases in which non-ATF materials show more CRUD resistance (less adhesive force) than ATF-materials. This study's analysis could be applied to other materials to be used for reactor cladding. Once the material with the lowest-strength CRUD bond is identified and installed, the nuclear industry could save millions of dollars US per reactor fuel cycle.by Rasheed Auguste.S.B

GADO: A Genetic Algorithm for Continuous Design Optimization
Genetic algorithms (GAs) have been extensively used as a means for performing global optimization in a simple yet reliable manner. However, in some realistic engineering design optimization domains a general purpose GA is often inecient and unable to reach the global optimum. In this thesis we describe a GA for continuous designspace optimization that uses new GA operators and strategies tailored to the structure and properties of engineering design domains. Empirical results in several realistic engineering design domains as well as benchmark design domains demonstrate that using our system can greatly decrease the cost of design space search, and can also improve the quality of the resulting designs.Technical report DCS-TR-35
