    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.     “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods

Skripsi, Surakarta : Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta, 2018 Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan bahan ajar akuntansi berbentuk komik yang layak dan efektif untuk diterapkan pada siswa SMA Negeri 1 Tunjungan dalam rangka meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model penelitian dan pengembangan ADDIE yang telah dimodifikasi menjadi 3 (tiga) komponen utama yaitu (1) Tahap Pendahuluan meliputi analisis, (2) Tahap Pengembangan meliputi rancangan, pengembangan dan implementasi, dan (3) Tahap Pengujian meliputi evaluasi. Proses validasi dilakukan oleh 2 ahli media dan 2 ahli materi. Proses uji coba dilakukan dengan metode The randomized pretest-posttest control group design (rancangan tes awal-tes akhir kelompok kontrol sampel acak). Subjek uji coba adalah siswa kelas XII IPS 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan siswa kelas XII IPS 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan terdiri dari angket kebutuhan, angket kelayakan, angket respon siswa, tes prestasi belajar pre test dan post test. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistika inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) bahan ajar akuntansi berbentuk komik layak menurut penilaian ahli media 85,76%, ahli materi 98,42%, uji perorangan 89,88%, uji kelompok kecil 90%, uji lapangan 91,02%, (2) bahan ajar akuntansi berbentuk komik efektif dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa SMA Negeri 1 Tunjungan sebesar 31,25 poin dari 57,81 menjadi 89,06 serta perbedaan nilai post test 18,75 poin dari kelas kontrol 70,31 dan kelas eksperimen 89,06.     Desain Dan Simulasi Konverter AC-DC-DC Isolated Untuk Pengereman Regeneratif Motor Induksi 3b Fasa Pada Mobil Listrik

    Motor induksi tiga fasa dapat berperan sebagai genarator induksi saat melakukan pengereman regeneratif. Artinya motor induksi tiga fasa tersebut berubah fungsi menjadi penyuplai daya. Pengereman regeneratif dapat dimanfaatkan dengan menyimpan daya dari motor induksi tiga fasa ke media penyimpanan sehingga dapat menekan konsumsi listrik pada kendaraan listrik. Konverter bidirectional adalah rangkaian yang mampu memanfaatkan pengereman regeneratif. Dalam tugas akhir ini, dilakukan manajemen energi pada kendaraan listrik menggunakan konverter AC-DC-DC isolated dengan konsep bidirectional. Sumber tegangan berasal dari baterai 96 V 100 Ah dinaikkan dua kali menggunakan High Frequency Transformer (HFT) dan menjadi 192 V. Tegangan 192 V dari HFT ditingkatkan level tegangannya menjadi 590 V dan masuk ke inverter tiga fasa berbasis Field Oriented Control (FOC). Penggerak utama menggunakkan motor induksi tiga fasa dengan rating daya 10 HP. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa konverter AC-DC-DC isolated mampu beroperasi bidirectional baik saat motor akselerasi maupun pengereman regeneratif. Untuk uji regeneratif dengan variasi kecepatan, Daya balik yang tersimpan ke baterai mencapai 98.12%. Sedangkan untuk uji regeneratif dengan variasi torsi, daya balik yang tersimpan ke baterai mencapai 99%. ====================================================================================================== A three phase induction motor can serve as induction generator when on regenerative braking condition. It means that three phase induction motor change the mode to a supplier of power. The adventages of regenerative braking can be used to store power from a three phase induction motor to the storages so the electric consumption of electric vehicles can be reduced. A bidirectional converter capable of get that advantages from regenerative braking. In this final project, conducted the management energy on electric vehicles using AC-DC-DC isolated converter with bidirectional concept. The source using battery 96 V 100 Ah get raised twice using High Frequency Transformator (HFT) and become 192 V. The 192 V of votages from HFT are improved that voltage level until 590 V and enter to three phase inverter based on Field Oriented Controlled (FOC). The motor drive using three phase induction motor with power rated 10 HP. Simulation results shows that AC-DC-DC isolated converter capable of operating bidirectional either while motor acceleration and regenerative braking. Regenerative test of speed variations show that 98.12% reverse power could charged into battery. For regenerative test of load-torque variations show that 99% reverse power could charged into battery
