Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

"Paskaduunista" parasta duunia : FixTeam N&H Oy toimintakulttuurin kartoittaminen
FixTeam N&H Oy on autonhoitopalveluita Pirkanmaalla erityisesti autoliikkeille tarjoava yritys, joka työllisti tutkimushetkellä 21 työntekijää. FixTeam on päättänyt erottua alallaan hyvänä työnantajana ja siksi yrityksessä halutaan jatkossa kehittää toimintakulttuuria työntekijöiden näkökulmasta entistä paremmaksi. Tämän opinnäytteen tarkoitus oli kartoittaa hyvän työpaikan tunnuspiirteitä ja selvittää FixTeamin toimintakulttuurin nykytila Great Place To Work -tutkimuksen avulla. Tavoitteena oli vahvistaa FixTeamin työnantajakuvaa ja brändiä hyvänä sekä vastuullisena työpaikkana hyödyntämällä kartoituksen ja tutkimuksen tuloksia tulevaisuudessa.
Great Place To Work -tutkimus osallisti sekä FixTeamin työntekijät että yrityksen johdon kehittämään yhdessä toimintakulttuuria paremmaksi. Great Place To Work -tutkimuksessa yhdistyivät määrällinen ja laadullinen tutkimusmenetelmä.
Great Place To Work -tutkimuksen tuloksista selvisi, että FixTeamin työntekijät kokivat jo työskentelevänsä hyvässä työpaikassa ja näin yrityksen toimintakult-tuuria voitiin pitää jo nyt onnistuneena. FixTeam saavuttikin tuloksellaan paikan Suomen parhaat työpaikat 2019 -listalla pienten yritysten sarjassa. Tuloksista nousi kuitenkin selkeitä kehityskohteita ja esimerkiksi yrityksen viestintään tullaan panostamaan tulevaisuudessa enemmän. Yrityksen johto sai tutkimuksen tuloksista toimivat suuntaviivat tulevalle toimintakulttuurin kehittämiselle.FixTeam N&H Oy is a company in Pirkanmaa providing car detailing services especially for car dealerships. This company employed 21 employees at the time of the research. FixTeam has decided to stand out in the car industry by
being a good employer and therefore, the need to develope their organizational culture. The purpose of this thesis was to map the elements of a good working environment and defining the present state of FixTeam’s organizational culture using Great Place To Work -research. The goal was to strengthen FixTeam’s employer image and brand as a good and responsible employer using the results of the mapping and research in the future.
Great Place To Work -research involved both FixTeam’s employees and employer in developing organizational culture together. The research consisted of Trust Index -employee survey and Culture Audit, which is a description of company’s management practices. Trust Index was answered by employees, and Culture Audit was compiled by employer. This is how both staff and management’s opinions could be heard and also compared with each other in the mapping of organizational culture. Great Place To Work was a combination of quantitative and qualitative research.
The results of Great Place To Work -research showed that employees of Fix-Team were already happy with their working place and this is why it could be stated that company’s organizational culture was already a success. FixTeam actually made it to the list of Finlands best workplaces 2019 in small company series. However, the results also showed some areas need developing. The company will be investing more in communication in the future. The results of the research gave the management of FixTeam workable guidelines for organizational culture development
NetInf Live Video Specification
This document specifies how the NetInf information-centric network service can be used for transport of live video streaming. To illustrate this it describes a prototype system that was developed to be used at "events with large crowds", e.g., sports events. The specification defines how the used video format is mapped to NetInf named data objects (NDOs). It also describe how NetInf messages are used to transfer the NDOs
