Studi ini bertujuan untuk menemukan langkah-langkah dalam pembuatan suatu alat produksi. Penulis merencanakan alat ini untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dalam proses pembuatannya jika menggunakan proses secara bertahap atau secara manual, baik itu efisien dalam segi waktu dan biayanya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melalui pengamatan (observasi). Untuk menganalisa data menggunakan teori pada modul “Dasar Perencanaan Dan Pemilihan Elemen Mesin” Kesimpulannya bahwa alat ini dibuat untuk membantu produksi pencetakan paving-block yang digunakan bagi industri kecil maupun industri menengah.     Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     ABSTRAK Agusalim Juhari, 2012. Pengaruh Metode Ekspositori Disertai Pemberian Kuis Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Matematika Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 22 Makassar. Skripsi. Jurusan Matematika. Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang melibatkan dua kelompok yang diberi perlakuan yang berbeda. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Seberapa besar tingkat prestasi belajar matematika siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan metode ekspositori disertai pemberian kuis (2) Apakah metode ekspositori disertai pemberian kuis berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII2, VIII3, VIII4, VIII5 SMP Negeri 22 Makassar pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2011/2012 dan dipilih secara teknik random sederhana 2 kelas sebagai sampel penelitian. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik statistika deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil yang diperoleh dari analisis statistika deskriptif adalah sebagai berikut : (1) prestasi belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode ekspositori disertai pemberian kuis berada pada kategori tinggi yaitu sebesar 70,65 dengan standar deviasi 14,32 dari skor ideal 100 dan (2) prestasi belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode ekspositori tanpa disertai pemberian kuis berada pada kategori sedang yaitu sebesar 56,85 dengan standar deviasi 15,13 dari skor ideal 100. Dari hasil analisis statistika inferensial diperoleh nilai signifikansi uji T oleh p-value < α yaitu 0,00 < 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak atau terdapat perbedaan prestasi belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode ekspositori disertai pemberian kuis dengan menggunakan metode ekspositori tanpa disertai pemberian kuis. dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika dengan metode ekspositori disertai pemberian kuis lebih baik dibandingkan dengan metode ekspositori tanpa disertai pemberian kuis.   ABSTRACT Agusalim Juhari, 2012. The Influence of Expository Method with Given a Quiz toward the Eighth Year Students’ Mathematics Learning Achievement of Junior High School 22 of Makassar. A Thesis. This study was aimed to determine (1) how much the extend to mathematics learning achievement of students who were taught by using the expository method with given a quiz and (2) the expository method with given a quiz has a positive effect in mathematics learning achievement of students. The population of this study was the students from class VIII2, class VIII3, class VIII4, and class VIII5 of junior high school 22 of Makassar on even semester in 2011/2012 academic year and was chosen by a simple random sampling as two class’ samples. Techniques of data analysis performed by using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The results of descriptive statistical analysis are as follows: (1) mathematics learning achievements of students who were taught by using expository method with given a quiz is in high category that is equal to 70.65 with a standard deviation of 14.32 from the ideal score of 100 and (2) mathematics learning achievements of students who were taught by using expository method without given a quiz in the middle category that is equal to 56.85 with a standard deviation of 15.13 from the ideal score of 100. Inferential statistical analysis of the results obtained by the T test significance value p-value <α that is 0.00 <0.05 so that H0 is rejected or there are differences in mathematics learning achievement of students who were taught by using expository method with given a quiz with by using the expository method without given a quiz. Based on the experiment result, it can be concluded that the expository method with given a quiz is better than expository method without given a quiz

Universitas Negeri Makassar (Sayidiman dan Nurhaedah).Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan tujuan Untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan metode SQ3R (Survey, question, Read, Recite, Review) untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV SDN No.211 Inpres Campagaya. Fokus dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan metode SQ3R dan keterampilan Membaca. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN No.211 Inpres Campagaya Kabupaten Takalar yang berjumlah 18 siswa pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2022. Tekhnik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Adapun hasil dari penelitian yang dicapai pada siklus I aktivitas mengajar guru dan aktivitas siswa berada pada ketegori cukup dalam penerapan metode SQ3R dan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi kategori baik. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, keterampilan membaca siswa mengalami peningkatan. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode SQ3R dapat meningkatan keterampilan membaca siswa kelas IV SDN No.211 Inpres Campagaya Kabupaten Takalar telah berhasil.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods

    We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
