Full text linkThis study aims to determine the pattern of waqf management of the Muhammadiyah
Persyarikatan Palembang City, after the enactment of the Law of the Republic of
Indonesia Number 41 of 2004 concerning Waqf and the strategies implemented by
the Muhammadiyah Association of Palembang City in increasing the benefits of waqf
for welfare. This research is a field research with a qualitative approach. Data was
collected by means of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies.
The results showed that the waqf assets managed by Muhammadiyah Palembang
City in the form of land and buildings which are generally used for educational
facilities, worship facilities, health facilities and social facilities. The pattern of waqf
management carried out by Muhammadiyah in Palembang City is to combine waqf
assets with non-waqf assets as an inseparable unit. With this pattern, waqf assets
develop and can provide benefits for the welfare of the community, especially in
the education, worship and health sectors.

Strategic Innovation in Waqf Management: A Case Study of Muhammadiyah Association in Palembang City
No full textThis study aims to examine the strategies implemented by the Muhammadiyah Association of Palembang City to enhance the welfare benefits of waqf. This is a field study employing a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis.The findings indicate that the waqf assets managed by Muhammadiyah in Palembang City primarily consist of land and buildings, which are generally utilized for educational, religious, health, and social facilities. Additionally, there is significant potential for cash waqf, estimated to reach approximately IDR 1.6 billion per year.To ensure that waqf management by Muhammadiyah Palembang City contributes effectively to public welfare, as stipulated in Law No. 42 of 2004 concerning waqf, several strategic shifts are necessary. First, a paradigm shift is required from a traditional to a contemporary waqf management model. Second, the professionalism of the nazir (waqf managers) must be enhanced. Third, innovative approaches to productive waqf programs should be pursued, including the management of neglected waqf assets, the development of existing assets, and the establishment of new waqf initiatives. Fourth, the management of cash waqf must be optimized. Fifth, waqf administration needs to be systematically structured

Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian lapangan, lalu jenis dan sumber data yang digunakan melalui pendekatan kualitatif berdasarkan pemahaman yang diberikan informan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi langsung ke obyek penelitian yang dijadikan sebagai data primer, adapun data sekunder yang akan digunakan berupa buku-buku primer yang dianggap representatif terhadap penelitiansebagai pelengkap data primer.Pemberian bantuan subsidi upah pada karyawan di PT Indosat disini akad nya belum jelas dari pihak PT Indosat meminta sebagian dari uang tersebut, hal ini yang membuat karyawan tidak menerima metode tersebut, mereka berharap tidak ada potongan dari bantuan yang sudah seharusnya diberikan oleh pemerintah. Sedangkan dalam Tinjauan Hukum Ekonomi Syariah akad ini sudah memenuhi rukun dan syarat hanya saja prakteknya tidak sesuai, seharus dalam akad ini menggunakan akad ridha’iyah, yaitu akad-akad yang dilakukan tanpa upacara tertentu dan terjadi karena keridhaan dua belah pihak, seperti akad pada umumnya.Kata Kunci : Bantuan Subsidi, Upah Buruh, Hukum Ekonomi Syaria
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
