Fiction, Parody and Utopia by Patrik Ouředník
Z názvu bakalářské práce Parodie, fikce a utopie Patrika Ouředníka vyplývá, na co se bude práce zaměřovat - jsou to spisovatelovy svobodné prostory jazyka. Teoretické znalosti o jednotlivých literárních žánrech a jazykových postupech (utopie, dystopie, parodie a fikce) budou aplikovány do praxe. As a result of the title of the bachelor's thesis Fiction, parody and utopia of Patrik Ouředník we are able to identify what is the central theme of this thesis - it means author's free areas of language. The theoretical knowledge of literary genres and language methods - utopia, dystopia, parody and fiction - will be used in practise. Shortly after that we could make clear which free language areas the author utilizes. Therefore the targets of bachelor's thesis are firstly how Patrik Ouředník uses these areas of language and secondly what is the purpose of his peculiar handwriting.Fakulta filozofickáStudentka představila téma práce, cíle , zvolenou metodu.

Recent Results on Meson Decays from A2
Light meson decays are used to investigate topics related to fundamental aspects of particle physics. Precision measurements of meson Dalitz decays give input to theoretical evaluations of the Hadronic Light-by-Light contribution (HLbL) to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. The pseudoscalar η' decays allow for studies of topics like ππ scattering lengths, effective field theories and fundamental symmetries. The A2 collaboration, using the Crystal Ball/TAPS setup at MAMI, has recently published several high precision results on transition form factors which are related to HLbL. The value obtained for the slope parameter of the π0 electromagnetic (e/m) transition form factor (TFF) is απ = 0.030 ± 0.010tot. The slope parameters for the e/m TFFs of ηγ and ωπ0 are Ληγ−2=1.97±0.13GeV−2 and Λωπ0−2=1.99±0.22GeV−2, respectively. In 2014 the collaboration had a dedicated experimental campaign for the production of η' mesons. One of the main goals was to measure the dynamics of η' → ηπ0π0 with high precision. An overview of the physics cases, the experimental setup and the results are given
Voice command for a TV set
Title: Voice command for a TV set Author: Patrik Černý Department: Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics Supervisor: Mgr. Pavel Straňák, Ph.D. Abstract: A goal of this thesis is to create television voice control intended for poeple with speech and movement disorder. This is achieved by interconnecting computer and television. Voice control is based on well-known dynamic time warping algorithm. It has been shown, that due to high and frequent changes in sound intensity the voice control of television is quite a complex task. The word recognition success rate of the final application is not very high, but for the purpose sufficient. Because of application design, program can be easily extended by techniques, that can improve recognition effectivity. Keywords: voice control, word recognition, dynamic time warping, television

Pronunciation Validation in Speech Therapy Application
Title: Pronunciation Validation in Speech Therapy Application Author: Bc. Patrik Černý Institute: Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics Supervisor: Mgr. Nino Peterek, Ph.D., Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics Abstract: A goal of this thesis is to design, create and test speech validation method based on current speech recognition algorithms. Resulting software is a speech therapy application for sounds or words training with feedback about pronunciation accuracy. Speech validation is based on CMUSphinx tools and on inaccurate pronunciation generation (using phonetic dictionary). Records with accurate and inaccurate pronunciations has been collected for training and testing purposes. It has been shown, that this design is not appropriate. Thanks to the software design, application can be easily extended by techniques, that could improve validation efficiency. Studies of the Decay η→π+π-π0 with WASA-at-COSY
In 2008 a large statistics sample of approximately 1·107 η-decays has been collected with the WASA detector at COSY using the pd→3Heη reaction at the beam kinetic energy of 1 GeV. These data are being used to study the not so rare η decays involving charged pions, like η→π+π-π0. This decay proceeds mainly via a strong isospin violating contribution, where the decay width is proportional to the light quark mass difference squared, (md-mu)2. In addition this decay can be used to search for C-violating effects. The analysis is presented and the Dalitz plot parameters with statistical and systematical uncertainties are determined from a sample of 1.33·105 η→π+π-π0 events in the Dalitz plot. The asymmetry parameters with statistical uncertainties are presented which show no evidence of C-violation.WASA-at-COS
Measurement of the decay with WASA-at-COSY detector
One of the objectives of the physics programme of the WASA-at-COSY facility is to study the isospin violating η hadronic decays into π+π-π0 systems driven by the term of QCD Lagrangian which depends on the d and u quark mass difference. These studies can be made in terms of the Dalitz plot parameters describing the density population which is proportional to the square of the amplitude |A(x, y)|2. This contribution describes the current status of the analysis of the η → π+π-π0 decay in the pd →3 Heη and as well in the pp → ppη reaction with WASA-at-COSY. </jats:p
Study of novel magnesium alloys with controlled microstructure and texture
Title: Study of novel magnesium alloys with controlled microstructure and texture Author: Daria Drozdenko Department / Institute: Department of Physics of Materials, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague Supervisor of the doctoral thesis: Ing. Patrik Dobroň, Ph.D., Department of Physics of Materials. Abstract: The work elucidates the role of dislocation slip and twinning during plastic deformation in selected magnesium (Mg) alloys with controlled microstructure and texture. The acoustic emission (AE) technique was concurrently applied during deformation to determine the activity of particular deformation mechanisms. A detailed insight into microstructure was provided by electron microscopy. In order to obtain a comprehensive set of AE data for particular deformation mechanisms, Mg single crystals with various crystallographic orientations were channel-die and uniaxially compressed. The obtained results were applied on deformation mechanisms in polycrystalline textured Mg alloys. Particularly, the twinning - detwinning processes, in the sense of twin boundary mobility, during one cycle loading (pre-compression followed by tension) were described. Clear correlations between changes in the AE response and the inflection points on the deformation curve were found. An analysis of twin..
