The use of electronic databases by post graduate students at King Abdul Aziz University library
No full textand students were asked to share their opinions and state their problems. Descriptive Statistic method was employed for the analysis of the data. This study found that majority of respondents is considered to be intermediate users of electronic databases. A large number of King Abdul Aziz University post graduate students are satisfied with their electronic databases. In addition to these, the lack of trained staff, language proficiency and availability of full text option are the major reasons that would discourage users from accessing the electronic databases in King Abdul Aziz University. The library should develop and improve its electronic databases by subscribing to electronic journals that provide full text options and conduct user study programs to know more about electronic information needs of the users

Full text linkSkripsi ini adalah sebuah hasil penelitian studi tokoh pada library research tentang Kepemimpinan spiritual Umar bin Abdul Aziz yang difokuskan pada pembahasan nilai spiritual dalam kepemimpinanya. Dasar pemikiran yang melatar belakangi penelitian ini adalah peneliti melihat bahwa ada hubungan erat antara peran seorang pemimpinan dengan persoalan moral dan spiritual umat muslim apalagi kepemimpinan beliau bersifat inovatif, inspiratif dan menjawab kebutuhan zaman.
Umar bin Abdul Aziz menjadi khalifah, menggantikan saudara sepupunya yaitu khalifah Sulaiman bin Abdul Malik, Ia dipilih menjadi khalifah dikarenakan mempunyai sifat sederhana, jujur, adil, dan taqwa.selain itu Umar bin Abdul Aziz membawa perdamaian bagi umatnya, serta memperbaiki tatanan yang ada pada masa pemerintahanya. Umar bin Abdul Aziz merupakan seorang pemimpin muslim yang memiliki otoritas dan kebijakan-kebijakan dalam memimpin negaranya, Salah satu sifat kepemimpinan utama Umar bin abdul Aziz adalah berlaku adil lebih-lebih relevan dengan kondisi umat Islam sekarang.
Skripsi ini bermaksud menggali kembali nilai-nilai kepemimpinan spiritual yang pernah diterapkan oleh Umar bin Abdul Aziz dalam rangka mengarahkan umat manusia untuk selalu mengikut sertakan peran spiritual didalam memimpin baik disebuah organisasi, perusahaan maupun Negara. Penelitian skripsi ini memfokuskan pada ruang lingkup kepemimpinan spiritual Umar bin Abdul Aziz dengan permasalahan utama adalah bagaimana kepemimpinan spiritual Umar bin Abdul Aziz.
Jenis penelitian skripsi ini adalah riset kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Peneliti mengumpulkan data dari sumber-sumber buku primer yang mengacu kepada riwayat Umar bin Abdul Aziz kemudian menganalisisnya dengan metode content Analysis.
Dari pembahasan tentang kepemimpinan spiritual Umar bin Abdul Aziz , peneliti memperoleh temuan-temuan yaitu:
Kepemimpinan spiritual Umar bin Abdul Aziz adalah kepemimpinan yang membawa dimensi keduniaan kepada dimensi spiritual (keilahian). Menjunjung tinggi ketaqwaan, serta menyelesaikan suatu permasalahan secara adil dan bijak dengan landasan dasar hukum yang benar dan kuat dengan menggunakan hadis Nabi Muhammad s.a.w dan Al-Qur’an.
Kredibilitas kepemimpinan Umar bin Abdul Aziz tercermin dalam prilaku, sifat-sifat utamanya diantaranya: ketaqwaan kepada Allah, zuhud, tawadhu, wara’, santun, pemaaf, tegas, adil, dan bijaksana. Kemudian melahirkan kebijakan-kebijakan dan pengaruh positif bagi rakyat dan negaranya

Method and substance of Islamic economics revisited
Full text linkThis paper provides fresh deliberations on the method and substance of Islamic economics by relying on the structure and contents of Nienhaus (2013). Introspective arguments are furnished to soundly argue that Islamic economics is still a widely disregarded field; it is an integrated science; its normative dimension is not a deterrent element; ‘Islamic economics light’ studies are one inseparable part of the discipline; and Islamic economics is a political economy. On the aforementioned issues, we essentially make further elaborations on our Islamic economics definition, ‘Qur’ānic framework’, Islamic epistemology and Islamic criteria originating from Mahyudi and Abdul Aziz (2017). The elaborations are extended to expound on their positive impact to the Islamization of knowledge agenda. We also utilize Bakar (2016) to reduce the observed tension between Sharīʿah scholars and Islamic economists that is triggered by issues surrounding legal form and economic reasoning of Islamic banking and finance products. Armed with the latest views over some foundational topics in the philosophy of Islamic economics science, our discussions proffer some guiding points on the proper conduct of Islamic economists in engaging with conventional economists and Islamic jurisprudence experts
