Classroom teachers' opinions about education portals and z-books used in literacy teaching in pandemic process
No full textSon yüzyılda bilgi teknolojilerindeki hızlı gelişmeler ve internet kullanımının yaygınlaşmasıyla birlikte, eğitimde teknoloji kullanımı yaygınlaşmaya başlamıştır. Ancak yeterli altyapı ve ilgili paydaşların yeterlilik düzeyleri belirli bir olgunluğa erişmeden yaşanan Covid-19 pandemi süreci, eğitim alanında etkisini derinden hissettirmiştir. Özellikle ilkokul birinci sınıf öğretmenleri, öğrencileri ve öğrenci velileri için süreç daha zorlu geçmiştir. Bu araştırmada sınıf öğretmenlerinin uzaktan eğitim sürecinde ilk okuma ve yazma öğretiminde kullandıkları eğitim platformları ve z-kitaplar hakkındaki görüşlerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgubilim araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubu amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme ile belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Şanlıurfa ili Siverek ilçesinde görev yapan 25 sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Uzaktan eğitim sürecinde birinci sınıfları okutmuş, eğitim platformlarını ve z-kitapları kullanmış öğretmenlerle gönüllülük esasına bağlı kalınarak görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Veri analizinde öğretmenlerinin açıklamalarındaki benzer ifadeler araştırmacı tarafından kodlanmış ve gruplandırılarak temalar oluşturulmuştur. Veri analizinden elde edilen temalara göre; Eğitim platformları ve z-kitaplar ile ilk okuma yazma öğretiminde eğitsel içerik, ilk okuma yazma öğretiminde teknoloji kullanımı, ilk okuma yazma öğretiminde z-kitap yeterliliği, ilk okuma yazma öğretimi sürecinde uzaktan eğitimin işlevselliği olmak üzere dört tema şeklinde ifade edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; i) Sınıf öğretmenlerinin uzaktan eğitimle ilk okuma yazma öğretimi hususunda bilgi, donanım ve tecrübe eksikliklerini olduğu, ii) Öğrencilerin canlı derse katılımlarını sağlayan teknolojik araç ve internet erişim sorunları yaşadıkları, iii) Uzaktan eğitim sürecinde kullanılan eğitim platformları ve z-kitapların yüz yüze eğitime uygun şekilde tasarlanmış olduğundan uzaktan eğitime uyarlayan sınıf öğretmenlerinin bu kaynaklardan en fazla verimi alabilmek için ürettikleri çözüm yolları hakkında bilgi edinilmiştir. Sınıf öğretmenleri süreç boyunca çoğunlukla karşılaşılan sorunları veli desteği alarak çözmeye çalışmışlardır. Ancak, velilerin uzaktan eğitimle öğretim sürecinde hem olumlu hem de olumsuz etkilerinin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bazı öğretmenler uzaktan eğitimle ilk okuma yazma sürecinde kullanılan eğitim platformları, z-kitapların katkıları ve avantajlarına vurgu yapmışlardır. Derse düzenli katılım gösterilirse veli desteği alınıp, teknolojik araç ve internet alt yapı problemlerinin giderilmesiyle birinci sınıf öğrencilerine okuma yazma öğretimi yapılabildiği düşünülmektedir. Bu çalışmanın uzaktan eğitimde kullanılmak üzere eğitim platformlarının ve z-kitapların geliştirilmesini, uzaktan eğitim süreçlerinin iyileştirilmesini, eksikliklerinin giderilmesini ve bu kapsamda alan yazına ışık tutacağı öngörülmektedir.With the rapid developments in information technologies and the widespread use of the internet in the last century, the use of technology in education has become widespread over time. However, the Covid-19 pandemic process, which took place before the adequate infrastructure and the competence levels of the relevant stakeholders reached a certain maturity, has made its impact deeply felt in the education field. The process has been challenging especially for classroom teachers, students, and parents. In this study, it is aimed to be determined classroom teachers' opinions about education portals and z-books used in literacy teaching in distance education. Phenomenology research design, one of the qualitative research methods, is used in the study. The study group is determined by criterion sampling, one of the purposive sampling methods. The sample of the research consists of 25 classroom teachers working in Siverek district of Şanlıurfa province. In distance education, interviews are conducted with the teachers, teaching 1st graders by using education portals and z-books, in the study group voluntarily. The data are collected using a semi-structured interview form prepared by the researcher. The data are analyzed using content analysis method. In the data analysis, similar statements in the explanations of the classroom teachers are coded by the researcher, and themes are formed by grouping them. According to the themes obtained from the data analysis, it has been expressed as 4 themes: educational content with education portals and z-books in the literacy teaching, the use of technology in the literacy teaching, z-book proficiency in literacy teaching, and the functionality of distance education in the literacy teaching process. According to the results of the research, information is obtained about the solutions produced by the classroom teachers who adapted them to distance education to get the most efficiency from resources that are education portals and z-books due to the fact that classroom teachers have been lack of not only knowledge but also qualification and experience in literacy teaching during distance education, a school culture has not yet formed in the first-grade students, students have problems with technological tools and internet access that enable live lesson participation, the education portals and z-books are designed in accordance with face-to-face education in the distance education process. During the process, classroom teachers mostly have tried to solve the problems encountered with the support of parents. However, it has been determined that parents affect the literacy teaching process with distance education both positively and negatively. Some teachers emphasize the contributions and advantages of education portals and z-books used in the literary process through distance education. It is considered that literacy can be taught to first-grade students by getting parents' support and eliminating technological tools and internet infrastructure problems if there is regular attendance in the class. It is anticipated that this study will shed light on the development of education portals and z-books in accordance with distance education, the improvement of distance education processes, the elimination of deficiencies, and the literature in this context
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
