No full textÀ quoi ressembleront les archives dans cinq ou dix ans ? À quoi, par exemple, les relevés de notes numérisés ressembleront-ils une fois versés aux archives historiques ? Ces archives seront-elles différentes des archives analogiques ? Mais, avant tout, comment les archivistes gèreront-ils ces documents et garantiront-ils qu’il n’y ait aucun « trou de mémoire » ou black-out numérique ?La technologie offre aux archivistes et à l’archivistique tout un monde de nouvelles possibilités allant de meilleurs outils de traitement de l’information et de nouvelles techniques de préservation du document en matière d’actif numérique, à de meilleurs logiciels de diffusion des données. Elle offre aussi aux archivistes une nouvelle place dans la « chaîne de production du document ». Les archivistes ne sont plus à la fin de la chaîne, à attendre que les documents soient versés aux archives pour être décrits, classés, préservés et rendus accessibles. Aujourd’hui, l’archiviste peut, et selon toute probabilité devra, s’acquitter de tout cela dès le début de la production des documents, contribuant au processus de création des archives en ajoutant les métadonnées nécessaires pour classer, décrire et contextualiser ces actifs numériques afin de pouvoir les récupérer plus tard.La mise en contexte des documents, une autre fonction essentielle de l’archiviste est très probablement devenue un atout majeur pour la profession même. Aujourd’hui, l’archiviste est confronté au défi de gérer la création et l’utilisation dans l’organisation d’une grande quantité de documents numériques et doit fournir, comme il l’a fait jusqu’ici pour les documents sur support papier : les règlements, les instructions et l’expertise nécessaires pour les gérer, mais, avant tout, pour assurer leur accessibilité dans le futur.Cet article propose à l’archiviste une approche pour l’établissement de pratiques qui servent à standardiser la description des archives électroniques.What will archives look like five or ten years from now? For example, what will digitized student report cards look like when they have been moved to historical archives? Will these archives be different from analog archives? Most important, how will archivists manage these documents and guarantee that there will not be any “memory holes” or digital black-outs?Technology offers archivists and archival science a whole world of new possibilities, ranging from tools for processing information and new techniques for preserving documents as active digital materials, to improved software for communicating data. It also calls archivists to assume a new place in the “document production chain.” Archivists are no longer at the end of the line, waiting for documents to be transferred to the archives to be described, arranged, preserved, and made accessible. Today, the archivist can, and probably should, undertake all those operations from the beginning of the production of documents, contributing to the process of the creation of archives by adding metadata needed for the arrangement, description and contextualize digital assets in order to be able to access them later.Putting documents in context, an essential function of the archivist, has probably become a major area of skill for the profession. Today, the archivist is confronted with the challenge of managing the creation and use in the organization of a large quantity of electronic documents, and should provide, as has always been done for documents on paper, the rules, instructions and expertise necessary to manage them, especially to ensure their future accessibility.This article proposes for the archives an approach for the establishment of practices that will serve to standardize the description of electronic archives

Expedients acadèmics: un model d'organització a les secretaries d'estudiants i docència de la Universitat de Barcelona
No full textAmb l'entrada en funcionament de l'Espai Europeu d'Educació Superior (EEES) i l'aparició dels nous ensenyaments de grau, màster, doctorat i títols propis, la Universitat de Barcelona decideix estandarditzar i actualitzar el sistema d'ordenació i el sistema de gestió dels expedients acadèmics en suport paper. Fins a l'entrada de l'EEES la institució no disposava d'un sistema únic fet que causava l'increment de la despesa de recursos econòmics i humans i repercutia en un menor nivell d'eficàcia i eficiència administrativa.
S'exposa el projecte dut a terme, les problemàtiques ocorregudes i els resultats de la seva implantació.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
