Malaysian women in a digital fight for rights — Rabi’ah Aminudin
Government censorship poses another significant challenge as the Sedition Act and the Communications and Multimedia Act are frequently used to silence dissenting voices.
Women activists may find themselves at risk for posting content that is considered harmful or seditious. This creates a climate of fear and leads to self-censorship.
Despite these challenges, the rise of digital activism by Malaysian women marks a significant shift in the nation’s social landscape. It demonstrates the power of online platforms in empowering women to challenge the status quo and demand change.
As Malaysia’s digital space evolves, this trend is likely to play an increasingly important role in shaping the country’s futur
ANALYSIS OF COMPETITIVE STRATEGIES CIGARETTE INDUSTRY IN INDONESIA, STUDY OF GO-PUBLIC COMPANY IN THE GOVERNMENT TRANSITION PERIOD
The cigarette industry in Indonesia is currently experiencing a pretty heavy pressure, which comes from changes in government policies such as restrictions on importing raw materials, promotional activities, excise tax rates and increasing taxes. The question arises as to the condition of competition in the cigarette industry, during the transition of the SBY presidential administration to president Jokowidodo (2012-2016). Five force porter (1989) is a generic tool to analyze competitive strategies. Then developed by Dobbs (2014) into a more structured, in-depth and strategic insight. This study describes how the performance of core players in the cigarette industry is assessed in terms of profitability ratios during the government transition 2 years before Mr President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono was replaced by Mr President Jokowi. Then analyze the intensity of competition within the industry by using Dobbs Five Force framework (2014) to assess each side of the industry challenges

Microstrip dipole array antenna for digital broadcasting application / Adilah Aminudin
This work will describe the design, simulation and fabrication of microstrip dipole array antenna. The microstrip dipole array antenna has been designed and fabricated for digital broadcasting application. Centered at around of 2.6 GHz from the bandwidth of 2.54 GHz to 2.65 GHz, the antenna is designed on the FR4 substrate with a permittivity of 5, a thickness of 1.6mm and tangent loss of 0.02. Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Microwave Studio software is used to design and simulate the required response. The fabricated antenna is measured using Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) and Antenna Training Measurement System (ATMS). The results are compared between the simulation and measurement. The results showed that for the dipole array antenna with quarter wavelength matching, the return loss and VSWR obtained are -23.528dB and 1.143 respectively. Meanwhile the measured results for return loss and VSWR are -20.454dB and 1.21 respectively. Meanwhile, microstrip dipole array antenna without quarter wavelength matching the return loss and VSWR obtained are -26.946dB and 1.094 respectively. Meanwhile the measured results for return loss and VSWR are -8.713dB and 2.158 respectively. Thus it can be concluded that, it is important to ensure the matching network used is quarter wavelength in order to obtain a better results between the simulation and measurement
Linkages among selected Western and Asian stock markets / Noraini Aminudin
This empirical research investigates the international inter-relatedness among a number of national equity markets. These markets are from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, France, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Spain, Canada and Belgium. These markets were chosen as they include both emerging markets as well as well-established markets. Some authors such as Rhee and Chang (1991) studied the performance of the Pacific Basin stock markets (Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand) and of the top five markets in the world (Japan, United States, United Kingdom, France and Germany). Together, these markets represent around 90% of the world's stock market capitalization. As the title implies, this study examines the structure of international stock market linkages. Knowledge of international stock market linkages, or interdependencies, is useful for international portfolio diversification, where investors can try to reduce a portion of the risk
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
