Di Bawah Bimbingan Prof. Dr. Yuswar Yunus, MP Sebagai Pembimbing Utama dan Syafriandi, S.TP, M.Si Sebagai Pembimbing Anggota.RINGKASANPengolahan tanah merupakan salah satu upaya penggemburan tanah, pengolahan tanah diperlukan untuk melakukan budidaya kedelai karena pengolahan tanah merupakan media pendukung pertumbuhan akar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui berapa besar pengaruh dari kedalaman pengolahan tanah terhadap perubahan sifat fisika-mekanika tanah dan pertumbuhan serta produksi tanaman kedelai. Alat yang digunakan pada penelitian ini, yaitu satu unit traktor roda empat New Holland, bajak piring, penetrometer, ring sampel, parang, meteran dan cangkul. Bahan yang digunakan yaitu benih kedelai varietas anjasmoro, pupuk Urea (N) selain itu juga menggunakan insektisida jenis Decis untuk pencegahan hama. Metode penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen yang ditata dalam bentuk Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola non faktorial. Terdapat satu faktor percobaan yang dilihat pengaruhnya terhadap kondisi sifat fisika-mekanika tanah serta pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kedelai. Faktor tersebut yaitu kedalaman pengolahan tanah dengan total kombinasi perlakuan adalah 3 satuan, diulang sebanyak 3 kali, sehingga seluruhnya berjumlah 9 satuan percobaan. Adapun parameter-parameter sifat fisika-mekanika tanah yang diuji pada penelitian ini yaitu bobot isi tanah, porositas total, distribusi pori, permeabilitas, kemantapan agregat tanah dan tahanan penetrasi tanah, sedangkan parameter-parameter tanaman kedelai yang diamati yaitu : tinggi tanaman, jumlah helai daun, luas tajuk tanaman, panjang akar, bobot basah berangkasan, bobot kering berangkasan dan bobot 100 butir. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan kedalaman pengolahan tanah memberi pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap bobot isi, porositas, pori drainase lambat, pori air tersedia, permeabilitas dan stabilitas agregat tanah. Hasil uji F pada analisis sidik ragam juga menunjukkan bahwa tinggi tanaman pada 20 HST dan 30 HST, jumlai helai daun pada 20 HST dan 30 HST, luas tajuk tanaman, panjang akar, bobot basah berangkasan, dan bobot 100 butir kedelai tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap perlakuan kedalaman pengolahan tanah. Namun tinggi tanaman pada 10 HST, jumlah helai daun pada 10 HST, dan bobot kering berangkasan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kedalaman olah tanah

    RINGKASANALMUNA RAMADHANI. Pengaruh Dosis Mikoriza Glomus mosseae Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Beberapa Varietas Cabai (Capsicum annum L.) Pada Tanah Entisol di bawah bimbingan Syafruddin sebagai pembimbing ketua dan Syamsuddin sebagai pembimbing anggota.Cabai merah merupakan salah satu jenis sayuran yang cukup penting di Indonesia, baik sebagai komoditas yang dikonsumsi di dalam negeri maupun sebagai komoditas ekspor. Cabai merah merupakan sayuran yang mempunyai nilai ekonomi dan memiliki nilai gizi yang cukup tinggi. Namun, produksi cabai merah di Indonesia sendiri masih sangat rendah, untuk meningkatkan produksi komoditi cabai merah perlu dilakukan usaha melalui intensifikasi maupun ekstensifikasi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan yang terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Salah satu caranya yaitu dengan menggunakan FMA (Fungi Mikoriza Abuskular) yang memiliki peran untuk meningkatkan serapan hara oleh tanaman. Peningkatan ketahanan suatu tanaman selain dengan menggunakan mikoriza, dengan menggunakan benih bermutu dari suatu varietas juga merupakan salah satu usaha untuk meningkatkan hasil cabai merah. Penggunaan varietas yang baik juga merupakan salah satu hal terpenting yang harus diperhatikan dalam kegiatan budidaya tanaman cabai. Penelitian ini menggunakan tanah Entisol karena sifat Entisol yang memiliki kendala dalam hal kesuburan tanah diharapkan dengan menggunakan mikoriza dapat merubah sifat tanah tersebut yang tadinya kurang subur menjadi lebih subur bagi lahan pertanian yang digunakan secara intensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis mikoriza Glomus mosseae dan beberapa varietas cabai serta interaksi antara keduanya terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil pada tanah Entisol. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan, Laboratorium Hortikultura, Laboratorium Penelitian Tanah dan Tanaman Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, dan Laboratorium Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (BPTP) Aceh, mulai dari bulan Maret 2016 sampai dengan Mei 2017. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial 4x3 dengan 3 ulangan, dimana dosis mikoriza terdiri dari 0, 5, 10, 15 g tanaman-1 dan varietas cabai terdiri dari PM 999, Lado dan CTH. Peubah yang diamati adalah analisis tanah awal (analisis lengkap), analisis tanah setelah panen (P-tersedia dan N-total), tinggi tanaman dan diameter batang umur 15, 30 dan 45 hari setelah pindah tanaman (HSPT), cabang produktif, berat batang segar dan kering, berat akar segar dan kering fase, tingkat terinfeksi mikoriza, jumlah buah, berat buah, panjang buah dan hasil cabai. Lalu dilakukan uji lanjut dengan menggunakan BNJ. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dosis mikoriza berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 15 HSPT, diameter batang pada umur 30 HSPT, berat basah tanaman, berat kering tanaman, berat kering akar tanaman, jumlah buah per tanaman, persentase infeksi mikoriza pada akar tanaman cabai, berat basah akar, berat buah per tanaman dan potensi hasil per hektar. Adapun Adapun dosis mikoriza terbaik dijumpai pada dosis mikoriza 10 dan 15 g tanaman-1. Perlakuan varietas tanaman cabai berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 15 dan 30 HSPT, diamater batang umur 15 HSPT, berat basah tanaman, berat kering tanaman, berat buah per tanaman, panjang buah dan potensi hasil ton per hektar. Adapun varietas cabai terbaik dijumpai pada varietas cabai CTH-01. Terdapat interaksi antara dosis mikoriza dengan varietas cabai terhadap berat basah tanaman, berat kering tanaman, tinggi tanaman dan diameter batang umur 30 HSPT, berat basah akar, berat kering akar, berat buah per tanaman, jumlah buah per tanaman dan potensi hasil per hektar. Interaksi terbaik terdapat pada dosis 10 g tanaman-1 dan varietas Lado. Hasil analisis tanah Entisol pada dosis FMA, diketahui nilai P-tersedia dan N-total tertinggi didapatkan pada dosis 15 g tanaman-1.Kata kunci: mikoriza, glomus mosseae, varietas cabai, entisol SUMMARYALMUNA RAMADHANI, Effect of Glomus mosseae Mycorrhizal Dose on Growth and Results of Some Chili (Capsicum annum L.) Varieties in Entisol Soil under the guidance Syafruddin as supervisor and Syamsuddin as co supervisor.Red chili is one of the most important vegetables in Indonesia, both as a commodity that is consumed domestically and as an export commodity. Red chili is a vegetable that has economic value and has a high nutritional value. However, red chili production in Indonesia itself is still very low, In order to increase the production of red chilli commodities, it is necessary to do business through intensification and extensification to meet the increasing needs every year. One way is to use FMA (Abuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi) which has a role to increase nutrient uptake by plants. Increasing the resilience of a plant in addition to using mycorrhiza, using quality seeds from a variety is also one of the efforts to increase the yield of red chili. The use of good varieties is also one of the most important things that must be considered in the cultivation of chili plants. This study uses Entisol soil because Entisol properties which have problems in terms of soil fertility are expected by using mycorrhizae can change the nature of the soil which was previously infertile to be more fertile for agricultural land that is used intensively. This aimed of experiment to study determine the extent the effect of dose of mycorrhiza Glomus mosseae and varieties of chili as well as the interaction between the two on growth and yield on Entisol. This research was conducted in the Experimental Farm, Laboratory Horticultural, Laboratory Soil and Plant Faculty Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University, and Laboratory Services and Assessment of Institute for Agricultural Technology Aceh, start from March 2016 until May 2017. The experimental design used was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with Factorial pattern 4x3 with 3 replications, where the dose of mycorrhiza used consist of 0, 5, 10, 15 g plant-1 and varieties of chili consist of PM 999, Lado and CTH. The parameters measured were soil analysis early (complete analysis), soil analysis of after harvest (P-available and N- total), plant of height and stem diameter at age 15, 30 and 45 Day After Transplanting (DAT), productive branch, Weight of fresh and dry stem, Weight of fresh and dry root, rate infected by mycorrhiza, number of fruit, Weight of fruit, lenght of fruit and chili yield. Then do further testing using HSD. The results showed that mycorrhizal dose treatment had a significant effect on plant age of 15 DAT, stem diameter at age 30 DAT, weight of fresh stem, weight of dry stem, weight of dry root, number of fruits, percentage of mycorrhizal infection at the roots of chili plants, weight of fresh roots, weight plant and potential yield. The best mycorrhizal doses were found at doses of 10 and 15 g of plant-1. The treatment of chili plant varieties significantly affected plant height aged 15 and 30 DAT, stem diamater at 15 DAT, weight of fresh and dry stem, fruit plant weight, fruit length and yield potential. The chili varieties are best found in CTH-01 chili varieties. There was an interaction between the dose of mycorrhiza with chili varieties on weight of fresh stem, weight of dry, plant height and stem diameter 30 DAT, weight of fresh and dry root, fruit weight, number of fruits and potential yield. The best interactions were at doses of 10 g plant-1 and Lado varieties. The results of the Entisol soil analysis at the FMA dose revealed that the highest P-available and N-total values were obtained at a dose of 15 g of plant-1.Key word: mycorrhiza, glomus mosseae, varieties of chili, entiso

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods

    We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
