Get PDFThe purpose that this recommendation system serves is to give data plan recommendation based on the user needs. Users need to find data plan features that meets their need and rate the data plan. Then, the system will give the recommendation based on the data plan that the user rated. This system developed by use the collaborative filtering method by combine user-based filtering and item-based filtering method. The similarity of data plan will be calculated using the recommendation engine and will be compared with another user. Then, the output will show the list of data plan that have the highest similarity. This recommendation system developed as web application. This system help user to save their time to find the suitable data plan for them. The software used to develop this system is XamppServer, phpMyAdmin, and Sublime Text

Get PDFKajian ini cuba meneliti semantik dan makna dalam adat-istiadat perkahwinan kaum Minangkabau yang kaya dengan adab dan aturan yang ketat. Adab dan adat ini sarat muatan makna yang umum dan khusus buat si pemakai. Adab dan istiadat yang ditata-kemas agar majlis yang diadakan bakal mencapai kesempurnaan dan kejayaan di samping mampu dipelihara, dipermekar dan dihargai. Semantik merupakan satu kajian terhadap makna, rujukan, kebenaran dan tanggapan yang berkaitan bahasa. Ia memfokus kepada perhubungannya dengan ‘signifiers’ iaitu perkataan, frasa, tanda dan lambang dalam bahasa. Manakala semantik dalam lingusitik adalah satu kajian dilakukan bagi memahami ekspresi manusia melalui penggunaan bahasa. Pemilihan perkataan atau konotasi dalam bahasa penulisan terutama struktur perenggan dan tanda baca turut terkandung dalam muatan semantik. Konotasi diertikan sebagai suatu perkaitan pembudayaan subjektif atau emosi yang tersirat di dalam sesetengah perkataan atau frasa. Konotasi sering pula digambarkan sama ada positif atau negatif. Ia bersangkutan dengan perkaitannya yang menggambarkan atau tidak menggambarkan emosi yang dipamerkan. Pemaknaan dan konotasi yang termuat dalam ujaran secara lisan maupun tulisan bermatlamat menyatakan atau menjelaskan tentang niat dan emosi. Niat yang halus sering dipraktiskan pada situasi formal bagi membayangkan rasa hormat pada adat dan adab situasi tersebut, atau bagi menggambarkan kehalusan budi-pekerti si penutur ataupun bertujuan untuk menyembunyikan rasa malu melalui penggunaan bahasa kiasan dan tersirat. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Get PDFPower quality issues have become more important due to increased use of electronics and non-linear loads from equipment in the home to control of huge and costly industrial processes. Power quality measurement equipment is used to enable the power engineers have a better understanding on the power quality events and their effect or consumers. One of such equipment in use is the Series 901 Dranetz Power Harmonic Analyzer. However, this equipment could only display the measured data in the printed form. This report describes the development of PC based software used to interface with the existing equipment. A graphical user interface was also developed that allows better logging and visualization. However, the thorough analysis of power quality will not be covered in this project but another student member will perform them in a different project. The harmonic related project is proposed in view of the frequent power supply disturbance occurring Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UiTM. Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
