Kepemimpinan Hashim Ibn ‘Abd Manaf Terhadap Bangsa Quraysh
This article discusses the figure of Hashim ibn ‘Abd Manaf as the leader of the Quraish nation. He is the ancestor of Rasulullah Saw, who was the first to open a new trade route outside the city of Mecca twice a year. By using literature research, this article finds historical information that the success of the Quraish nation was pioneered by one of the traders, who later became known as a leader and trading figure among them. Hashim ibn ‘Abd Manaf's character can be seen from his expertise in seeing opportunities to change the trade route (silk route) in the northern region, which was often disrupted by wars between Rome and PersIa. With his diplomatic techniques, Hashim ibn ‘Abd Manaf succeeded in proposing a change in the trade route from the north to the south that crossed Mecca. This path became known as the rihlat al-shita wa al-sayf path and was immortalized in the Koran with the revelation of the Quraish letter. The findings of this article provide an illustration that the success of a nation can be built through the nation's ability to seize opportunities. Hashim ibn 'Abd Manaf was a leader who was able to see these opportunities and apply them to leading the Quraish nation.

Mokhtar Dahari the Malaysia football legend / Mohamad Hanif Abd. Manaf
It have been 30 years, Malaysia football were poor in every kind of aspect such as
facilities, style of play, referee and many more. Although football is the country number one
sport, their performance these past years made Malaysia football lags behind other Asians
country such as Japan, Korea, Australia even Thailand. Why could this happen? Where are
the gold era of Malaysia that had achieved in the 1970's? Are Malaysia lack of good players
such as Soh Chin Aun, Ghani Minhat or Mokhtar Dahari? In that case, youngsters nowadays
did not know about Malaysia football and especially the gold era of Malaysia football and
more importantly about Mokhtar Dahari. It's a bit embarassing Malaysian youngsters did not
appreciate Malaysian players. Mokhtar Dahari were one of the best players in Malaysia and,
Asia. Youngsters nowadays need to know Mokhtar Dahari and commemorate him and make
him as a an icon in daily life. Mokhtar Dahari way of achieving goals can be example to
youngsters to achieve theirs also
An algorithm for active power economic dispatch / Zulfahmi Abd Manaf
Economic Dispatch is a most important discussion in nowadays power system since every electricity supplier company aims to commit the generation units required to meet the demand and to comply the systems constraints, minimizing the total generation cost. There are many factors that involved in active power economic dispatch (APED) such as transmission loss, generator efficiency and limit, and fuel cost. Therefore, there are many algorithms proposed to solve the problem of APED but the effectiveness of the algorithm for the solution would be the key if the algorithm is success or not. In this research, detailed increment transmission losses are introduced in the classical Economic Dispatch algorithm to minimize the fuel cost. The transmission losses, generator limit, and power balance constraint are included in this algorithm research. MATLAB R2010 software is being use for the research simulation. The IEEE 30 Bus system has been chose to test the proposed algorithm

Effects of attentional loadings on turning kinematics in stroke survivors / Mohd Haidzir Abd Manaf
The purpose of this study was (1) to compare temporal-spatial gait parameters and axial segmental coordination across attentional loading conditions during Timed Up and Go test (TUG), and (2) to determine the correlation between gait parameters across attentional loading conditions during TUG and, level of sensorimotor impairment, and functional balance in stroke survivors. Thirty stroke survivors participated in this study. Temporal-spatial gait parameters (gait speed, stride time, stride length, tum time and number of steps) and axial segmental coordination across single, dual-motor and dual-cognitive task were measured during the Timed Up and Go (TUG) test. Researcher further divided the TUG test into turning and straight walking phases to gain information about whether attentional loading had a differential effect on each phase. A repeated measure ANOVA and the Spearmen's rank correlation coefficient were used to analyse the data. The temporal-spatial gait parameters taken during TUG test was increased significantly from single- to dual-task conditions (dual-motor and dual- cognitive). Attentional loading had a differential effect on gait speed measured during the straight walking phase of the TUG for both groups (p == 0.001). Dual-motor and dual-cognitive task conditions led to a slower gait speed compared with the single task condition in stroke survivors (Both, p == 0.02). However, in healthy controls, only the dual-cognitive condition led to a significantly reduced gait speed compared with single task condition (p == 0.001) and dual-motor condition (p = 0.01). Furthermore, dual-cognitive task condition led to a significant increase in the time taken to complete the 1800 turn in both groups. In addition, attentional loading had a significant effect on axial segment reorientation onset time (p == 0.03), and the effect was similar between stroke survivors and healthy controls (p == 0.54). However, only dual-cognitive task led to an earlier axial segment reorientation onset time than single task condition (p = 0.006) in both groups. Stroke survivors showed a similar segmental reorientation sequence as the healthy controls (p = 0.63). Furthermore, there was no significant condition effect for the head anticipation distance for both groups. There were moderate to strong negative correlation between functional balance and gait parameters (range -0.53 to -0.73, p < 0.05). There was a weak negative correlation observed between the time taken to complete the single task and motor impairment (rѕ== -0.43; p =: 0.02), dual motor task and motor impairment (rs == -0.41; p == 0.02). However, there were no significant correlations between lower limb motor impairment and the number of steps in all conditions. The results of this investigation show that stroke survivors and healthy individuals had difficulty performing a turn and a secondary task simultaneously. This study has implications for stroke assessment and rehabilitation. The ability to carry out dual tasks after stroke is essential to ensure a safe and effective gait especially in outdoor settings. Thus, it is recommended that rehabilitation interventions for chronic stroke survivors should incorporate turning tasks with dual task gait training to promote the achievement of functional gaits
Analysis on the factors that influence students’ perception towards whistleblowing intention / Khamisah Abd Manaf
Whistleblowing is a disclosure by a member of organisation of any misconduct perpetrated by the management. This noble deed is an effective tool to deter misconducts and hence it is a duty of all parties who stumbled upon such incidences to report to those who can execute actions. This investigation glares at students’ perceptions of intention to whistle blow. This study was conducted with the respondents within the Faculty of Business and Management of the Universiti Teknologi MARA, Kelantan campus as numerous as 300 students by conducting a survey conveyance. The findings of this study are students' perceptions which develop from three variables that become independent variables, namely social influence (SI), attitudes towards behaviour (ATB) and perceptions of organizational support (OS) have a positive influence on student intentions to blow the whistle. This study is anticipated to be an additional information regarding students' discernments in observing the whistleblowing activities. An understanding of the views of students towards whistleblowing and the factors driving their intentions should be useful to organisations that may use these students upon graduation
Encapsulated citronella oil as mosquitoes repellent agent in water based paint / Mastura Abd Manaf
Mosquito has been recognized as vectors for a number of infectious diseases but current control measures are less efficient and chemical mosquito repellent harmful to human and environment. Other alternative which is natural repellent is very volatile and release rapidly. Thus the study aim to produce a Citronella oil (CiO) paint as mosquito repellent tools that give long time protection and safe to health and environment. To provide control release, CiO was encapsulated via coacervation method by using arabic gum and gelatin as wall materials. Performance of the CiO paint was indicated by its mosquito repellency properties and standard paint characteristics which are paint VOCs content, adhesion and viscosity. Mosquito repellency performance was measured by release kinetic study and repellency test against Aedes aegypti. Both encapsulation methods have provided good encapsulation efficiency around 94%. Capsules from complex coacervation have lower release kinetic compared to simple coacervation. The complex coacervation's capsules also more suitable to be added in water based paint because the capsule's wall able to sustain in wet and the capsule's wall start ruptured in dried conditions. Water based paint was prepared for the study because emission of chemical VOCs from the commercial paint was considered can decrease the concentration of citronella compounds in air and addition of CiO has increase the paint's viscosity gradually. CiO was added in water based paint at 0 to 5 %v/v and 3.5 % CiO paint has function as mosquito repellent. However, release kinetic study found that citronella released from the paint in just 4 days and give too strong odor. While 12% Encapsulated CiO (ECiO) paint has lower release kinetic and able to provide protection for 1 year and 236 days. With the calculated dosage, the ECiO paint able to give 100% repellency to A. aegypti
