Approche variationnelle de la fonction rang : relaxation convexe, sous-différentiation généralisée, régularisation-approximation de Moreau
No full textDans ce mémoire de these, nous étudions la fonction rang du point de vue variationnel. La raison pour laquelle nous nous intéressons à cette fonction est qu'elle apparaît comme une fonction objectif (ou comme fonction contrainte) dans divers problèmes d'optimisation moderne, par exemple: complétion de matrices, analyse de données statistiques, acquisition parcimonieuse de données, etc. Dans certains cas particuliers, les problèmes de minimisation de la fonction rang peuvent être résolus en utilisant la décomposition en valeurs singulières. Mais, en géneral, les problèmes de minimisation de la fonction rang sont « NP-difficiles ». Nous proposons ici quelques propriétés de la fonction rang du point de vue variationnel: des démonstrations supplémentaires pour son enveloppe convexe fermée (restreinte à des boules spectrales), les expressions des sous-différentiels généralisés et la régularisation-approximation au sens de Moreau. Puis, dans le dernier chapitre, nous revenons sur une notion dont la définition ressemble à celle de la fonction rang, la fonction cp-rang.In this dissertation, we consider the rank function from the variational point of view. The reason why we are interested in this function is that it appears as an objective (or constraint) function in various modern optimization problems, such as: low rank matrix completion, multivariate statistical data analysis, compressed sensing, etc. In some particular cases, the rank minimization problems can be solved by using the singular value decomposition of matrices or can be reduced to the solution of linear systems. But in general, the rank minimization problems is known to be « NP-hard ». We provide here several properties of the rank function from the variational point of view: additional proofs for its closed convex relaxation, the expressions of its generalized subdifferentials and the explicit expression of its Moreau regularization-approximation form. Then, in the last chapter, we revisit a notion whose definition resembles that of the rank, the cp-rank function
Characteristics in oxygen storage capacity of ceria-zirconia mixed oxides prepared by continuous hydrothermal synthesis in supercritical water
No full textContinuous hydrothermal synthesis in supercritical water (supercritical synthesis) is a method to prepare metal oxide nanoparticles rapidly and continuously using supercritical water. Highly crystallized nanoparticles of homogeneous complex metal oxides as well as single metal oxides Could be produced easily by the supercritical synthesis. Ceria-zirconia mixed oxide is widely used as oxygen storage material, for example, in the three-way catalysts for the clean LIP of automotive gases. Ceria-zirconia mixed oxides were prepared by the new supercritical synthesis method and also by the conventional co-precipitation method. The characteristics in oxygen storage capacity (OSC) of ceria-zirconia mixed oxide prepared by the supercritical synthesis were compared with those by the co-precipitation method. It was confirmed through physical characterizations with N-2 adsorption, SEM, TPR and O-2-uptake that the supercritical synthesis could lead to ceria-zirconia mixed oxides with higher thermal stability and better OSC due to its morphology. Des quatre traits distinctes qui identifient la production littéraire *ran-gique ", on parle surtout des " terres " et des * chemins "; par ailleurs, domine la fonction toponymique du mot. Le rang littéraire possède son cheminement propre alors que la langue courante incorpore plus de referents sociologiques que ne le font les langues techniques, préférence que reflète à son tour la littérature rangique

6. ReferenceMasterRheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease with progressive and irreversible joint damage. The effectiveness of systemic RA treatments is limited by difficulties in achieving therapeutic doses within articular joints. We evaluated the ability of intra-articular administration of injectable formulations to synergistically enhance repair of RA joints. Methotrexate-loaded hyaluronic acid (Met-HA), dexamethasone-loaded microcapsules (Dex-M), and Dex-M dispersed inside Met-HA (Met-HA/Dex-M) were prepared as viscous emulsions and injected into articular knee joints using a 21-gauge needle to form a drug depot. By near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence imaging replaced with drugs, we confirmed the local release of NIR from the depot injected into the articular joint over an extended period. After in vivo treatment with Dex-M, Met-HA, and Met-HA/Dex-M, RA repair was confirmed by imaging of the feet, micro-CT, and histology. TNF-α expression in all treatment groups was gradually decreased as a function of injection time. In comparison with the subjects treated with Met-HA or Dex-M alone, subjects treated simultaneously with Met-HA and Dex-M exhibited faster and more significant RA repair. Collectively, these results indicated that the drug depot formed after intra-articular injection of Met-HA/Dex-M induced long-lasting drug release and allowed Met and Dex to effectively act in the articular joint, resulting in enhanced RA repair
