The background is a mix of light pinks and blues and browns, which pervade most of the drawing.The portrait was drawn by a fellow inmate during Kurt Levin's internment in Australia. The artist included the camp site, Tatura, along with his signature.Manfred ReinholdKurt Levin was born in Krefeld on May 25, 1895. He escaped Nazi Germany together with his sister, Ilse, and her family most likely to England. In 1940 he was interred as an enemy alien in Australia. In 1946, he immigrated to the United States, where he dedicated himself to fashion photography. Before World War II, Kurt Levin had worked as a personal tailor for Princess Luise of Prussia as well as her mother Princess Marie Louise of Schaumburg-Lippe. No full textThis interview was conducted as part of Cleveland State University\u27s 50th Anniversary Commemoration effort. Morton Levin is currently a trustee at CSU. A Cleveland-area native, Levin graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1959 before going on the earn his bachelor\u27s and law degrees at the University of Michigan. After law school Levin returned to Cleveland to practice law with his uncles and soon became involved with CSU through his aunt, Maxine Levin. Levin helped to set up a special chair in the Urban College with his aunt for his uncle, Albert Levin. Morton served on the Cleveland State Foundation Board for a number of years before finally being appointed to the board of trustees in by Governor Strickland in 2008. Of particular interest is Levin\u27s description of Maxine Levin, the role he has played with the CSU Foundation, the establishment of the Urban College chair, and discussion of the NEOMED building that is currently being constructed on Euclid Avenue

No full textLevin Powell Johnson, a son of William H. Johnson, came with his parents and family from Alabama in the early 1850s. Levin P. moved to a homestead south of Bradenton and married the widow Mary Hays, then the couple moved to a grove along the Braden River. Levin owned several groves an amassed a huge herd of cattle. Levin died July 29, 1881 and was the first person buried in the Braden River cemetery
