Effective rewarming of hypothermic piglets using 915-MHz microwaves
No full textA prototype 915-MHz microwave unit was designed to rewarm hypothermic piglets. Initial tests indicate that it is possible to rewarm piglets successfully from deep stages of hypothermia using 915-MHz microwaves. No full textThe paper deals with the problem of the relationship between the teaching
of Pope Francis regarding the admission to the Eucharist of the divorced
persons who have entered into new marriages, and the prescription of
can. 915 of the Code of Canon Law, which forbids the admission to Holy
Communion of persons who obstinately persist in manifest grave sin.
After presenting the doctrine contained in Amoris laetitia, the author
analyses three elements of the hypothesis of can. 915 (grave sin, persistence
in sin, and manifest of sin) and formulates the position that the new apostolic
exhortation is not contrary to the prescription of can. 915 of the Code of
Canon Law. The interpretation of this canon must take into account the
magisterium of Pope Francis, just as it took into account the teaching of
the Church so far

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
